By and far the VERY best dentist experience I ever have had! First of course, I have had a LOT of dentists in my life. Most were during my military time so as you can imagine patient consideration of fear of losing my business wasn't first on those dentist's lists. This is totally the opposite situation with Rebecca's practice. Before meeting her, I think I had at least 15 very large amalgum fillings in my head from a career of dental treatments. Two of my fillings were so large, they basically were complete crowns just made of silver. When I met Rebecca, she quickly came up with a plan of action to replace all of those fillings and reduce my long term risk of cancer that amalgum can induce. Over the next few months and about 7 appointments, she replaced all of these fillings and did some laser whitening procedures as well as 2 complete crowns. Throughout the process, her first priority has been my comfort and I can say that it truly was a for the most part painless treatment every time. Her professionalism is exceptional and I would refer anyone and everyone to her with no hesitations at all. Her staff are treated like family by her (in a good way I mean) and it definitely shows in office overall attitude. Her pricing is very fair for the labor that she puts into every patient. I've been a patient here for about four years now. The office itself is somewhat uncompartmentalized so you'll have to get over it. The people at the practice and the quality of dental maintenance service more than makes up for it. Dr. Dinh is superbly skilled - she's yanked all my wisdom teeth out with the least possible discomfort and joked through my visits. The hygienists are super nice and thorough (Ken's my favorite). I found my dentist I WANT to keep forever finally! I heart my dentist Dr. Dinh. I swear everytime I come into this office, I wonder if they're passing around the laughing gas in the back because there's always lots of laughter in the office. I even asked Dr. Dinh if they were, 'hook it up!!!' lol. She said of course not haha. All laughing matter aside, I would have to say that for this dental office, from the reception staff to assistants and dentist, everyone has been stellar. All very open and friendly and professional, the whole shebang. When you come in for the first time they take a goofy picture of you for their files and the way they do your xrays, you're super confortable and you dont have to bite into weirdly shaped film that does not really fit into your mouth. Then you also see them come up on the screen in front of you while they're doing it! cool eh? The cleanings I've had at the office were great, and the dentist is super friendly and she'll remember you even if you've only come in one other time 6 months ago for your first checkup. After my second visit, I got an appt. for my boyfriend to come in for his cleaning. I'm confident that he'll have a better experience here at Aesthetic Dental than the last place, N&M Dental (Stay away, bitchy receptionist, shady billing, and unfriendly dentists). OK so I'm not a fan of visits with the dentist, who is really? I've hopped around various dental offices and for the most part my experiences have been OK, nothing to write home about. It was time for a change so I went to Dr. Dinh after checking all the positive reviews. She instantly makes you feel at ease and she really does take her time while cleaning. I felt like we were the best of friends within the first 5 minutes of talking with her. After my initial visit, she found 2 cavities that needed to be filled. I think my heart actually sank with fear when she told me the news. However, I really didn't feel much pain at all! Perhaps it was the novocaine or Dr. Dinh's skills with injections. Really though, it was probably because she made me feel comfortable from the get go. Oh by the way, it's probably best to not choose a comedy to watch since I'm sure I looked ridiculous smiling at random moments on the chair. read more

I found Dr. Dinh and Aesthetic Dental through research on Yelp. You Yelpers know what you're talking about, because I've been seeing her for over a year now and I couldn't be happier! Today I just got through my first root canal and I freaked myself out about it beforehand by looking up pictures online and reading about the procedure (yeah, something I recommend NOT doing). Anyway, Dr. Dinh saw my fear and instantly calmed me down, explained the procedure, and basically said she knows the process inside out and will be painless once I get numb. Since she was so nice about it, I sat back in my chair and I let her do the work. I won't go through all the details about it (trust me, you don't want to know), but it went exactly as she said it would. Once I was numb I did not feel a thing. Even the SHOT didn't hurt, can you believe it?!?! Right now, as I'm sitting here recovering from my root canal and nicely relaxed with the painkillers and antibiotics in my system, I can safely say that Dr. Dinh and her staff are freakin awesome! OMG! Where to start?? This is by far the best dental office ever!! I was referred to Dr. Dinh by a sassy Co-Worker of mine who is very hard to please (love you girl!!) So I said to myself "I gotta check this out!" I've had terrible and ridiculously expensive experience with many a dentist before, so I was pretty desperate to find a Rocking Dentist. I had what I knew to be the most complicated work needed on my choppers, only to be beautifully executed by this awesome duo of artists. Been there several times now, and I'm going back for more! They are not taking new patients right now, so don't waste your time. I called to ask about how much a procedure would cost and the person on the phone asks if my sister is a current patient. I tell her no, and she says, "I'm sorry, we don't do quotes over the phone." I ask her several more questions, and her only response is, "I'm sorry, we don't do quotes over the phone." So I ask if we were to come in and get it checked out and get an estimate, how much it would cost just for the check up. "I'm sorry, we don't do quotes over the phone." We recently switched insurance carriers, so there is a waiting period so I ask if they can take no insurance and we just pay out of pocket. Then she finally says, "I'm sorry, we're not taking new patients right now." Well, thanks. That would have been helpful to know at the beginning of the conversation so I didn't waste my time. read more

Truly amazing doctor and staff! It's so rare to find such a wonderful combination when it comes to a dental office. Most of the time you get a fantastic doctor then feel like you're being sized up by the administration. This office makes an effort to make you feel welcomed as soon as you come in. Everyone is very professional but very warm and personable. The dentistry is top notch and (dare I say) entertaining. Besides from the DVD glasses that are provided so you can watch shows while they work on you, the staff have a handful of stories to amuse and keep your head away from the work at hand. I have been going to various dentists over the past 50 years throughout the country. Long story but let's just say; with the recent price of gold my mouth has become even more valuable! I live in Danville CA (about 1 hour away) but heard about Aesthetic Dental via a friend. Somewhat skeptical I decided to give them a try. (I was getting tired of being overcharged and the indifference of my previous local dentist). I have being going to Aesthetic for the past 2 years now and have been meaning to do a write-up like this since the first visit but never could seem to find the time. I don't "do yelp" a lot! Anyway, I have to say Aesthetic Dental is orders of magnitude above ANY other dentist I have ever been to. Their service, care for the patient, and even price is almost unbelievable. For the first time in my life I actually look forward to having my teeth cleaned. Everybody there is so friendly and a pleasure to talk to. They have a great sense of humor as well, but most important they are absolutely the best in the quality of work they do. They have a modern electronic/computer setup with all your information on file. X-rays if needed are electronic displayed on a screen in front of you immediatly. My last dentist still used film! I don't use these words lightly; but they are a model as to how a dentist office should be run. it's been over 5 years since i've been a patient with dr. dinh and she is still a star as far as dentists go. when i first came in, i hadn't been to a dentist in 3 years because i was deathly afraid of the pain. and i knew there would be many issues with my teeth because of the 3 year absence. 5 years later and because she takes such good care of my teeth, the worse i've had done so far is getting some old fillings redone. otherwise, so far so good. even my stains are better and most importantly, there is no more pain. and i owe it all to the good doc! also, the staff are continuously very pleasant and professional. i have too much fun when i am there, they eventually have to kick me out. but they always do it very nicely. hah. and honestly, foodie fridays are the best!! Rebecca was my dentist when I was an undergrad and she was a dental student at PENN. She has always been my favorite dentist. I wish I knew she had an office in the South Bay when I move to the area. I was VERY weary about going to the dentist due to countless unpleasant experiences as a child. My brother actually referred Dr. Dinh. My first appointment was actually quite pleasant. I'm writing an update because Dr. D continues to ROCK so any rating lower than 5 stars is not right ! She is very PRO-CLIENT as she works with my insurance and DOES NOT over charge. I have had other dentists always charge an additional 200-300 (out of my pocket) because of the difference in what the insurance covers and what they charge. Dr. D does not, she charges the copay which is only fair. I have a front tooth that has a filling that I keep chipping. Dr. D fixes it and even did FREE ZOOM for me because it was yellow and I did not like how my teeth looked. She has awesome music playing (80's and 90's) and she and her staff are friendly and make the dentist bearable. My husband and son see Dr. D and they love her also! read more

This review has been four years in the making. My dental journey could be written into a book. Seriously. The stories of dealing with nonsense dentists took me on a whirlwind of a ride until finally, I arrived at Dr. Dinh's place and things started to take a turn for the better. I turn up late 2008 and start filling forms at Aesthetic Dental. I clearly state that I have too many problems to mention and that was it. I just thought to myself "here we go again" another dentist that will tell me the same thing and nothing will get resolved. Glad to have been wrong on this one. Right away, Dr. Dinh expressed concern about what I was told by other dentists and set the record straight. She said we'll get to the bottom of these problems" and guess what, we did. Disclosure: I still have on-going issues (one thing or another with my mouth) but the core issues I had got resolved and it feels great. Treatment history: I had cocktail of fillings, extractions, root canals, one bridge and a few crowns here and there. It has been four years since trusting Dr. Dinh and her entire crew and it was one of the best decisions I made. Aesthetic Dental is a special place for me. Whatever the issue, Dr. Dinh remained positive and never gave up and by give up I mean "extraction" as the ultimate end result. I am sure it pains a dentist when they have to extract if all other treatments failure. I had written off a few bad teeth and pushed for extraction, but Dr. Dinh stood her ground and tried alternative options until we got results. The entire crew of at Aesthetic Dental are special from reception to the staff working with Dr Dinh. It has been a pleasure to get to know them all and I feel like family. Dr Dinh has done a great job creating an A+ team of folks that focus on customer service and makes visiting a pleasant experience. Her knowledge of Dentistry is amazing and she has a knack to explain a problem that makes sense to the person on the chair. Loved this place. Going to the dentist is never fun, but here they take care of all the little details that can make your experience a little bit better. From watching movies, to putting a nice picture on the fluorecent light on the ceiling so you don't have to be staring at a white light. When they do the cleaning they offer you different flavors, and the X-ray machine is digital, so you can actually see pictures of your teeth as they are taking them and you know exactly how many they are gonna take. All of these things are details, but they can really make your experience a better. And the service is great. The staff is super nice and the doctor is wonderful. I really recommend it! read more

What a fantastic doctor and staff. Dr. Dinh is such a very good human being first. A great doctor next. She is very pleasing, always smiling and treats you painlessly. She recommends the best for you and accommodates you both in terms of schedule and finances. Yes, can you believe this? I had just moved to the bay area and just started my job and was short of money and was not very much interested at first to take a treatment that I would end up paying more. She not only convinced me to take the treatment by explaining its benefits and also gave me discounts on my part of the coinsurance. She takes great personal interest in your dental health. Similar to her, all of her office staff are very pleasant to deal with. They remind you about your appointments, follow up with you and are not behind you just for the payments like other dentist offices. Her office is small and Dr. Dinh is alway busy (no surprise here) but once you get an appointment, the staff give you movies to watch during the procedure, give hot towel and a goody bag before you leave. I also have to mention about April, one of her assistants who performed my initial cleaning and also was there for my other dental work. She is always nice and gentle and has a great smiling face, which makes any pain, if at all to vanish. I love this place!!! The staff and Dr. Dinh are amazing. I arrive to my scheduled appointment a little early. Right when I get there, the staff already knew who I was. I get the necessary paperwork and start filling them out. The waiting room is so comfy and cute! Very clean environment. I waited no more than 10 minutes, before I was called to the back. I got seated and the assistant hands me a pillow for my neck (not many dental offices does that) and also gives me some sunglasses so I get nothing on my eyes (that's a first for me)! The assistant starts on my cleaning. She was very gentle and constantly checks up on me to make sure I wasn't in pain. I then met with Dr. Dinh! and OMG!! She's a doll! You can tell off the bat that she's very passionate about her job and her clients. She took the time out to get to know me on a personal level, which most places don't really care for. I had my first appointment with Aesthetic Dental yesterday and I have to say their service and professionalism is phenomenal! It was my first visit so I had my x-rays taken, teeth cleaned and examed; all of which took about 2 hours. They took a while on the x-rays because instead of taking 6 shots like all other dentist, they took 20! Instead of the old film stuff, they have digital x-rays so you can see them right away and in front of you. The hygienist, April, who cleaned my teeth very thoroughly, actually asked which kind of cleaning paste I liked. She wasn't very rough on the teeth but did a good job cleaning. I think they have about 9 different flavors (strawberry, raspberry, mind, vanilla, chocolate...to name a few). The dentist Rebbecca came to see me right after the cleaning, explained my x-rays and see if anything is to be done on my teeth. She pointed out on the x-rays exactly where the cavities are. It's not like she is trying to fool me because this digital x-ray shows a lot of details on your teeth. You can REALLY tell where the cavities are. She even cleaned my teeth's tea stain after she looked through my teeth. All of the staffs are friendly and easy to talk to. I actually think this place made me laughed in a dental office for the first time. I will definately go back again! read more
