I have been going for regular dental exams for many years. When I went to see Dr Chamberlin he discovered a problem that had been overlooked. He utilizes all the newest technology, always answers every question, and in lieu of many superlatives, he and his staff are simply awesome!!! Highly recommend!!!!!! read more

SCHMIDT I was experiencing Urgent Dental issues related to a car accident it was crucial to get treatment as soon as possible it I hit my face on the steering wheel by then my tooth was the time she saw me my tooth was completely dead I had no clue that could happen and if they would have seen me sooner this would have never been an issue. DR. SCHMIDT I hope you read this because or you my teeth are completely desired. Thanks a lot read more

My FAVORITE Dentist ever. Wow! She takes her time, explains why I was experiencing pain, how it likely happened, and what we could do to fix it. Super impressed with everything: from being warmly greeted, to my cleaning, to Dr Schmidt. First class Dentist and office! read more

This is one of the most unprofessional dental practices I have ever had the misfortune to use. Their hygienists give good cleanings, but as far as the rest of the staff, I wouldn't even give them a single star if I could rate them otherwise. They barricade themselves behind a locked door and leave a secondary reception area unstaffed much of the time with no way for a patient to summon anyone. The dentist spent my second appointment crying on someone's shoulder in the next cubicle the entire time I was having my teeth cleaned at the conclusion of which I was told I could wait or come back to see her with no offer to reduce the cost of my appointment. On another occasion as I reclined in the dental chair, I realized my elbow was being licked by one of the dentist's dogs! They have never been able to provide a receipt for the huge payment I make annually for the practice's dental plan without a major hassle that has always resulted in my having to drive back to the practice to pick it up in person when they weren't able to produce it upon payment or e-mail it to me. Don't go. read more

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR DR. SCHMIDT who bought Dr. Chamberlin's practice in early 2020. Dr. Schmidt recently bought this dental practice from Dr. Christopher Chamberlin, who was my dentist for many years. My experience with this new practice was terrible. I broke a crown and was able to get an appointment a couple days later. I expected I was getting the crown process started that day but learned that this was actually just an exam. I would not have talked 4 Advil before the appointment if I had been told I would only be there for an exam. (I have to take Advil or my jaw hurts from being open a long time). So whoever booked my appointment did not set appropriate expectations. The dental assistant was examining my mouth with her mask below her nose, breathing into my mouth during a pandemic! I asked her to adjust her mask and she did, but I was surprised she wasn't using a face shield for my protection and hers. Dr. Schmidt also did not use a face shield. I booked my next appointment. Later, I was emailed a feedback form from her office and I let them know what I experienced (above). I expressed concern about safety practices and communication issues and that I wasn't sure if I would be coming back. No one called me to follow up on the feedback and attempt to make things right. Today, I showed up for my appointment and learned that it had been canceled. The manager said that because of my feedback, they assumed I didn't want to come back so they took me off the books. No one ever called to tell me this. The manager denied any wrongdoing and said I should have called them if I wasn't happy. I reminded her that THEY sent me a feedback form, I filled it out so I DID communicate my concerns. I asked why no one called to discuss this with me or let me know my appointments were canceled and she couldn't answer me. She outright said I was wrong!! I told her I was appalled at how she was handling this, that if any of my clients ever expressed displeasure with MY work, that I would bend over backwards to make it right. The manager said, in a very snippy tone, "Well, I guess you just always want to be right then, okay, then you're right and we think you would be happier at another practice". I am stunned at the lack of professionalism at the office of Dr. Andrea Schmidt. The office manager needs some serious customer service training, starting with NEVER tell a paying customer they are wrong. NEVER be rude and condescending. NEVER ignore truthful reviews and NEVER write off patients so they can go "be happier elsewhere". Do whatever it takes to repair what has been damaged and be humble enough to consider that MAYBE you made a mistake. My entire family will be taking our business elsewhere, as requested. As for my broken crown (under warranty), I guess Dr. Schmidt got away with not having to fix my crown for free and I'll have to pay another dentist to repair it. So, I'm out another $1000+ but at least I'll be taking my business to a practice that will treat me with respect. read more

Having recently moved to Boulder, I am so glad I found Dr. Schmidt and her fantastic team. The work she and her staff have done has been really professional and efficient, and inasmuch as going to any dentist is one of my least liked things to do, they seem to get in- get it done and get me on my way with what seems like a lot of efficient dentistry skill. Highly recommended. read more

Nice guy, but ridiculously overpriced. He did get me in quick for an emergency and did solid work. I was quoted with my insurance the repair would be $200 when I called. It ended up being over $300 out of pocket. Then after further review, quoted over $12,000 for work he pointed out I needed. Bottom line, I found another dentist (in Colorado) to complete the work for half of what Doc Chamberlin quoted. My thoughts, if you are in a pinch he is open and does good work. If you have time to do the leg work, look elsewhere. read more

If you're looking for a high quality dentist to trust for the long term, look no further. Dr Schmidt is a total professional and the wonderful staff in this office makes for a warm, friendly environment. After a few bad experiences of other dentists who would make up problems to 'fix' just to charge me, this dentist is honest and focused on preventative care. I really cannot recommend them enough! read more

Dr Chamberlin and every one of the staff are very attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. They really spend time with me on each visit and I never feel rushed. read more

I have had problems with dentists forever, I was terrified of them My last dentist totally screwed up my root canal and I was in so much pain my brother-in-law, who is a dentist in San Diego recommended that I go to Dr. Chamberlin for help. He realigned my bite, made up a new bite guard and I have to tell you it was the first time in years that I woke up in the morning and didn't have a headache and my jaws didn't ache. He is just awesome and would highly recommend him to everyone! read more

Best dental office I've been to. Competent and friendly staff. Highly recommend. The only downside is they don't accept Medicaid read more

The people working here are very kind, and pleasant to work with. Discomfort is minimal, overall as pleasant an experience as going to the dentist can be. I think you can get similar work done for cheaper in other locations, but this place will likely be more comfortable and an overall nicer experience. I would definitely recommend this one. read more

What a refreshing change from my past dentist. To be greeted by a friendly receptionist. To not be kept waiting for your appointment. To have the dentist take the time to get to know you and your teeth. To have the dental tech not be rushed as she cleans your teeth. To have the dentist give you options and not just push the most expensive solution. My past dentist insisted that I needed an expensive implant. Dr. Chamberlain recommended a root canal and replacement crown that cost a lot less. He makes sure you are comfortable at all times and called me at home later to make sure I was OK. It's nice when you trust your dentist and feel that he is putting your needs ahead of maximizing his income. Great dentist with a great staff. I highly recommend Dr. Chamberlin. read more

I came with two fractured front teeth after an assault (I guess drugged people, never actually saw their faces as I passed out immediately). Other dentists recommended wait and heal with a flexible splint, also not a root canal. Not so Dr Chamberlin, whom I contacted as he has the reputation of a very respected dentist in Boulder. He was friendly and said there is no other option than getting two implants. He saw the opportunity to make business (about $12k per tooth), and was firm on his judgement. Two months later, another dentist in Boulder took a new X-ray and one of the teeth was already healed (no fracture line seen). This dentist said there is no action needed; to be sure I was sent to an exam with a root canal specialist - and he confirmed the same. This tooth feels just as good as before since then (I am writing this review one year later). The other tooth is also still alive and got rather stable to bite apples etc without problem (was actually completely firm ~5 months after the accident but unfortunately knocked loose when playing with my child). Still looks like it will heal and not need further treatment. Now, Dr Chamberlin, after thorough examination, had recommended getting two implants instead. And, cosmetically, I have no problem at all with the natural teeth, before or after the assault. Think of the hazzle of getting two unnecessary implants - even these would take months to heal, and would not be your own teeth. In summary, he might be a fantastic cosmetic dentist but do not trust if you have an actual dental problem. His preferred solution may be getting you artificial teeth rather than preserving your own. Interestingly, I received the message below as I am still on his mailing list: "Hello amazing patients of Dr Chamberlin's ! We were hoping we could talk you into voting for us to win Best Dentist Boulder County Gold of the Daily Camera. Please go online and go to services and places and vote for Dr C as your best dentist !!!! We truly appreciate your confidence in us." Not a good call with me - it made me write this review. I can only confirm the opposite is true. He would have taken out one or two well healing teeth just to make a profit. And likes to be voted best dentist. Use your own judgement. read more

Another great visit to the dentist! Even though I live in California I prefer to come here every six months or so when I come back to visit family in Boulder. read more

I have unfortunately had to spend much time in dentist's chairs in my life. I have many horror stories about dental visits. About 2 years ago I found Dr. Chamberlin and have been nothing but pleased. He is the most gentle dentist I have ever been to by far. He is also very informative and gives you options to take for your dental care. His office staff is kind and always on time. I have never had to wait to be seen. Dr. Chamberlin does many things to make your visit comfortable. When giving numbing medicine he does it so gently that you don't even feel it. While he is working on your mouth he offers an ipod with any kind of music and noise canceling head phones. He also uses something for your mouth that keeps the tongue out of the way while propping your mouth open. I even fell asleep in his chair, totally comfortable. That was a first for me... I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Chamberlin. read more

This dude is awesome. Not sure why all the reviews are shown filtered. He knows tons about dentistry, very helpful, explains everything, good at what he does. I'd recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

I saw Dr. Chamberlin to get about ten cavities filled (no joke) as I had been out of the country for two years without dental care. I am an absolute dental-phobe. I hate everything about it; needles, drills, metal on my teeth... So believe me when I say that this was the single most pleasant dental experience I've ever had. I was in a chair having my teeth drilled for three hours, and it was absolutely painless. In fact, at one point I even fell asleep in the chair. Like I said, I hate these things, but Dr. Chamberlin worked with me personally, gave me more novocain when I told him my back teeth often haven't got numb in the past, and didn't rush me at all during the work - often stopping to make sure I was doing OK. The other thing that really put me at ease was that he knowledgeably explained everything he did before he did it. This guy caters to cowards. I can't imagine going to another dentist. On top of that, the staff is extremely professional and helpful and the office is very comfortable. They even offer you noise-canceling headphones and an ipod loaded with music to listen to while they work. You get a high level of personal, professional, and caring service here and I would highly recommend Dr. Chamberlin to anyone who hates being made to feel like a practice-dummy at other dental offices. read more

I can't express enough how much confidence I have in Dr. Chamberlin's opinion, and I urge you to give him a try if you need a good dentist that you can trust. I feel that Dr. Chamberlin is the most professional, sincere dentist I've ever had. He is sure to do a procedure only if it is necessary, and when he does, it is executed to perfection. I can't even begin to explain all the disasters I've experienced with past dentists. If I could have gone to only one dentist my whole life, it would be him. Unfortunately so many painful and costly problems can happen from dental procedures that are done improperly. it is not worth it to go to the most affordable dentist if their work is going to cause more problems, which end up costing more in the long run. I know it is worth it to have a GREAT dentist who will do it right the first time. So far, Dr. Chamberlin has helped to restore a bridge that was placed improperly from a previous dentist, and a root canal. Both were done perfectly. No matter how much pain I am in when I walk in, I feel relieved when I get there because I know the problem will be solved. I enjoy my experience at this office, and I feel like I learn a lot every time I go. Everyone is kind, professional, and I wait less than 30 seconds before I am seen. This is the best dental office I've ever been to, and I would recommend him to anyone. Even my grandma! read more

Wonderful dentist and a very kind staff. Everyone is concerned that you feel comfortable and they explain the procedures, show you the X-rays, and give you choices. My son has had a number of fillings and I was very impressed with the fact that he never feels pain during the procedure or afterwards. He is able to leave the office and go back to his normal life without any problems! It may sound silly to say but we enjoy going to Dr. Chamberlin's (who would imagine that would be true for the dentist's office?). So glad we found him. read more

We just moved to Boulder and I'm so glad we found this office!! Everyone there is so nice and they took amazing care of me. Thank you!

Dr. Chamberlin is a wonderful, caring dentist. With the new digital equipment in his office, it is actually fun to go to the dentist. Fun might be overdoing it, but it makes for an interesting experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Chamberlin to anyone who has dental anxiety. He has a very low key approach, which makes for a more relaxing visit. read more
