I purchased a Groupon for this place last year and have had 5+ sessions already. I bought the "1 year unlimited package" for the full face in preparation for my wedding. I can't even tell you how much money I wasted between the Groupon and all of the tips (which they make pretty clear on your first appointment that it is NOT included in the Groupon) My sessions each lasted about 5 minutes in which I felt absolutely NOTHING- no warmth, no heat, no stinging, no pain- NOTHING. I know this is not normal. I take hotter showers than this. With the blindfold on, I could see the light flashing and that was it. This laser hair removal machine that they use is nothing more than a camera flash- because it has been completely useless. I have seen ZERO results in 5+ sessions. Each time I went in for a session, I brought up my concerns about how quick the sessions were, how I haven't seen any results AT ALL, how i feel nothing during or after the sessions, etc.. and they were not in the least concerned and really offered no explanation other than "they would raise the setting for next time" still nothing. I am choosing to discontinue the treatment/package and eat the hundreds I have already spent here only because I don't want to waste another penny. Worst Groupon I have ever bought. FAIL. read more

Came in for a Laser Hair Removal treatment. The lasers used are not meant to be used for hair removal with promising results. They use an IPL laser as appose to a YAG or CANDELLA the results are night and day. Fortunately I did one session and it was cheap. Service was not great what so ever. The facility is very small and not comforting. You would think if you are spending X amount of money you would have a nice environment around you. I had purchased a laser Lipo and skin tightening package During the consultation I was shown "before and after" pictures that looked familiar, a few days later I came across the exact pics in the mail advertising "Perfect body and laser" IN BAYSHORE They cut off their logo and used it as their own. False advertising. I decided to go ahead with my treatments giving aesthetic medical the benefit of the doubt but despite my clean diet and exercise I did not lose an inch. Throughout my course of treatments, a different tech performed the procedure each time failing to take my measurements and did not display any knowledge of the machine or techniques. (A very low frequency machine that is sold Cheap on eBay. )My review along with other negative experiences were deleted off the facebook and the option to post a review Is no longer available. She is also a LIAR and tries to say you are done with your sessions - keep written records of every session you go to otherwise she will say you did your 6 when you still have a few left! I purchased unlimited sessions for a year and I managed to get 8 sessions for laser hair removal..Lets just say that the techs raced through each session and 6 months after the completion of my treatments, 0% was removed. Brianne had no problem racing through each session, but she took her time to place a tip envelope for me to fill. I have had laser hair removal in other salons over the years with decent results but aesthetic medical had groupon deals I couldn't resist. I wish I could give zero stars. I got unlimited laser hair removal for a year and I fit in 9 sessions. Nine should have been plenty for the small area I treated. It's now been about 4 months since my last treatment and it's like it never happened. During the process I thought I saw about a 10% loss of hair (though maybe I just imagined that in a hopeful mindset) but everything grows in fully again now. Don't waste your money. I went there for at least 6 years doing laser on the same 5 parts. The only one that was moderately successful was my armpits and I've done laser on each of those parts at least 18 times each. I had a credit with them for a long time and didn't go very often the last 3 years because of an issue with the management. I started going again recently. To be perfectly honest, I've missed a handful of appointments over the years. However, I missed one last month bc I had accidentally erased my calendar and I called and said that I missed it and made an appointment for 4 hours later. They were wide open. 2 hours later my daughter got sick and I called and cancelled. I was then informed that I had to pay $25 for last week's appointment. Never ever have I been charged. I literally had about $50 worth of services left. It was so obvious they just wanted to get rid of me so I basically just threw my credit in the trash. I'm now going to Ideal Image because it's been obvious that the Groupon deals at about 4 different places never worked. I was advised that going every 5 weeks is completely ridiculous and the manager suggesting to do my face is actually a harm. Do not go there. Do not waste your money. read more

I've had 5 treatments so far. Not a huge fan of their service since day one but I just ignored it. However, I have had it with their terrible attitude. If you miss an appt they don't waive the $25 fee EVEN AS A COURTESY. They claim to send out "courtesy emails" for a reminder....I have never received a single one. They don't know what customer satisfaction is, nor do they care. I read the reviews below, and I agree: terrible service, def go over spots too quickly, and their laser is not effective. You want to feel comfortable when you go for body laser, and not worry about missing spots. I know laser does not reduce hair over a session, I've had multiple sessions, at various places, but I have never encountered such unprofessional employees. The only reason this place gets one star is because I have to give it a star to review it. When you fill out the paperwork at this place, you're given an information sheet that says you should notice some difference in terms of how much hair grows back after the first session. I noticed no difference, but I figured it was because I had very stubborn hair. Because of the price, I had even convinced my mom to go there. Well, after 4 sessions, I can say that I had more hair than before, and just stopped going back. This entire experience has been a complete waste of money for me, and I would rather have paid more at a reputable clinic. I had read the negative reviews for this place beforehand, yet still decided to go with this clinic because of the price. Don't make the mistake I did. And if this is not enough to convince you, my mom had a worse experience. Not only did she notice NO improvement, the last time she went for her session, she requested the technician to make the laser a bit hotter, as her hair is tougher. The technician refused. So my mom told her that my aunt (who also goes there) had requested this once and they had done it for her. So in response to that, the technician, who was a fair skinned woman held her arm up next to my mom (who has medium-dark skin) and said, "see the difference?" This sort of discriminatory behavior is completely uncalled for. My mom and I are well informed that laser treatments work better on fair skin and dark hair, but our skin is more on the medium side than on the dark side; furthermore, modern laser treatments are meant to work on darker skin tones. If their equipment didn't work on our skin color for whatever reason, it was their job to inform us before our first session. Furthermore, having bought the full face package, each time I have had my treatments I have asked the technician to laser under my chin instead of places like my nose where there is no hair. The technicians I've had have always agreed to this, simply stating that they can't go past the neckline into the neck, which is understandable. When my mom asked the technician to laser under her chin INSTEAD of her forehead, the technician flat out refused, saying that if she does it for my mom, then other people will request all sorts of random body parts to be lasered. I don't understand this lack of consistency in behavior towards clients. This place should be shut down, because 1) they are scamming people with their ineffective treatments, and 2) some of their staff can be insensitive and rude in a setting where sensitivity is most required, as women are already embarrassed to be so exposed in the first place. I would highly recommend skipping this place in favor of a well rated clinic - even if you have to pay more, you'll at least know what sort of service you'll be getting. read more

I recently purchased a groupon for 3 photo facials at the Manhasset office. It seems like they do not have many people working in the office which does not help the business. The people are not over friendly, and do not make you feel welcomed. I saw no difference in my skin what so ever. It was a complete waste of money. Worst customer service and my laser hair removal for my legs wasn't working. I showed up at 1:16, 1 minute after my scheduled 1:15 appointment. A computer generated email indicated a 1:15 appointment, as did my calendar. The receptionist said her computer said it was a 1 o'clock appointment and that I would have to wait until around 1:40, when the next customer, who wasn't even there yet, finished her treatment. I showed her my email and she didn't care. I will never go back, despite having already paid for my treatments, because the people are rude, and the treatment wasn't working anyway. DON'T GO TO AESTHETIC MEDICAL NETWORK!!! The customer service here is horrible. Alex the manager tries her best to rip you of. Their policies are very shady. The aestheticians purposely lower the setting at the end of your treatment package so that you are forced to buy additional treatments. When you tell them that you don't feel the laser as strong, they say it's a different or new machine. The charge you a missed appointment fee of $25 even if you call hour in advance of your appointment to cancel due to an emergency. After 2 complete packages of 6 treatments each with only minor results I finally looked for a different place. On Groupon I found Bare NY in Floral Park who had similar prices and saw major results after just one treatment and the aesthetician at Bare NY worked with me to customize my treatment plan so I saw the best results and their customer service is phenomenal! I went here on my birthday my parents gave my money as a birthday gift to help my acne scarring. I went in they seemed very nice and I told them what I want done for my scarring NOT acne IPL laser does not help acne scarring and can not help acne scarring I went in and spent 800 dollars on treatments that could have been done by a dermatologist who knows what they are doing. There was no consultation and when their products don't work they don't give refunds so don't ask. Most of them do not speak fluid English and also don't understand anything about skin. I've also talked to some patients there and said they are skeptical. I work full time and go to school part time I don't have all the time in the world to do a bunch of research, when I did I was shocked. So do yourself a favor don't go here go to a licensed doctor to get results. P.S. I got two areas done for hair removal and it was like I never got them done. At no point did I see a reduction of hair throughout each session. While getting it done I felt like they weren't even going over the hair properly and missing spots. Never did I feel pinching or any other sensation from the laser. I have completed 3 of the 6 sessions of laser that I bought and have had a great experience every time. The staff is very sweet and educated in what the do. I was nervous to do something like this and they have made me feel very at ease. I would definitely recommend this place and this location. DO NOT have any procedures done by this company. I purchased a "groupon priced" laser hair removal procedure in their Melville location. I purchased 6 sessions of laser hair removal and I was told that I was an excellent candidate for the procedure. After four sessions, I saw about 10% decrease in hair growth and the area was extremely patchy. I kindly asked for a refund for my last two unused sessions because I knew I was not getting the proper results, and they refused to give me any money back. The way they run a business is a joke. Customer service is the worst I have dealt with in my entire life. Since then, I stopped by a American Laser Skincare location. I purchased another laser hair removal package for the same "groupon price" that the Aesthetic Medical Network offered. This is where the similarities ended. The way things are done at American Laser are completely different At Aesthetic Medical Network, they put tissues and cheap tanning goggles over your eyes during the laser procedure! What a joke! At American laser, they use actual glasses designed to protect your eyes during laser hair removal procedures. Additionally, at American Laser, the technician drew a grid on the area they were lasering with some type of special pencil to ensure that all areas would get an even treatment. Aesthetic did no such thing. I think that the laser machines they use at Aesthetic Medical are old technology (they cover you in cold sticky gel) The new machine shoots a pulse of cold air on your skin every time the laser is activated. After my first procedure at American Laser, I have noticed a 25% decrease in hair. After 1 procedure! Do not waste your hard earned money at Aesthetic Medical Network.
