When I picked the shoes up I was delighted by the handsome look of the Anodyne dress shoes and the ease with which to put on as each shoe has an enforced heel so there is no need to use a shoe horn even though Anodyne provides one. My only lament is the shoes are not that thick at the bottom unlike Aetrex so I feel the floor somewhat . The rep ordered two sets of shoes of different sizes just in case. I am happy they made the effort to make sure I get the right shoes with the minimum number of trips. Also communication with the office has improved after they got the correct number to reach me.

Very happy with my results! My corneas measured around 513 and 517, which were on the lower end of…read moredoing laser surgery so decided to opt for LASIK. I think if my corneas were thicker, I would have chosen SMILE instead! Although SMILE was still a flexible option, I decided to go with the traditional route since it's been around longer. My eyes rx were around -6.25 and -5.75 + astigmatism in both eyes: Cylinder -1.5 (157 axis) and -2 (036 axis). Consultation was very quick. They just do a regular eye exam and scans on your eyes. There is no "eye-touching" or dilation, so you can take yourself to the consultation with ease and it's free. I did consult a couple more places due to family referral, but decided to go for this place because the service is fantastic and staff remembers you. On the day of the procedure, the entire thing took about 1.5 hours due to waiting. But the actual procedure was only like 10 mins. The laser part was literally just a few seconds. I remember stepping into the op room and I felt a bit cold, then the staff member offered a blanket to cover me. Honestly it was extremely comfortable; being under the machine did not scare me at all and had my full trust in Dr. Lee. After the procedure, I could immediately see the staff member's name on her shirt. I was pretty shocked! It was still "blurry" due to the many eyedrops they put in your eyes during the procedure. The procedure was completely painless and I felt absolutely nothing at all, which is still shocking to me lol. FYI on the way home, the numbing started wearing off and my eyes started to water and hurt. Try your best to sleep it off and use those numbing drops the first 24 hours of post-op. At some point, you might feel a bit of pinching on your eye(s), like you're being poked by something sharp. Don't worry, it's just your nerve and part of the healing process. For me, it only lasted like 1-2 days of that poking feeling (started on the 3rd day or so). My eyes got gradually better and better after 4-5 days of post-op. After a full week, I didn't feel that poke-y feeling anymore. The other thing I like about this place is that the steroid(?) eyedrops they give you combines 2 different kinds of medication, so it's not separated into 2 bottles. I was using 4 drops a day (per eye), and has now dropped to 3 times a day after the first week of post-op. I've been instructed to use up the bottle until it runs out. Not having to use 2 different bottles makes a big difference to me! I really recommend this place! I'm currently trying to convince others to come here as well. You will not regret it! :)

I met her briefly and she ordered a CT guided epidural procedure. She said it didn't look like I needed surgery, but upon meeting with an orthopedic surgeon in tears yesterday, I was told that I likely need to have a disc removed surgically because the the disc is pressing on my nerves. Despite my paperwork saying I should have a follow up appointment within 2 weeks, I tried for 6 days to get ahold of her office and no one called or emailed me back. When I finally got through today, they had no idea who I was and couldn't see me until July, even though I mentioned in my messages and on the phone that the epidural doesn't seem to have worked and I'm in severe debilitating pain. When asked if it's normal to ignore a patient's voicemails and emails for 6 days and to not get the patient in within the 2 week follow up per my discharge instructions, I was told she was booked. I asked again if that is normal to not see a patient within the follow up period, especially one with a serious nerve pressing issue causing muscle atrophy and who's is severe pain, I was told she could try to ask the doctor to see me sooner. I told them I'd rather work with someone else, as obviously there is no care or concern for my condition. Yet another disappointing experience in our medical system as I suffer trying to find practitioners that will help me within a reasonable period. Thankfully, the orthopedic surgeon seems to care deeply, so I will follow up with them.

I began care here shortly after the unexpected passing of Dr. William Caton, the founding member of the practice. My initial workup was completed by Dr. Caton, and under his leadership, I felt genuinely cared for and cared about. My first visit with Dr. Mulholland followed the results of MRIs for my cervical and lumbar spine. During that appointment, she provided a diagnosis that had been a mystery for 16 years, after struggling with unresolved symptoms since a motor vehicle accident in 2004 and a subsequent cervical spine surgery in another state. Finally receiving clarity was a deeply meaningful and validating moment. For that, I am truly grateful. On the downside, once it was clear I was not a current surgical candidate, I felt less of a priority within the practice. I frequently experienced long delays--sometimes several days to over a week--before receiving returned phone calls. I often had to call again to follow up, and even then, responses were delayed. Additionally, staff often expressed being overworked and overbooked, which did not inspire confidence in the follow-through on patient communication. I also took the time to request and review my medical records. What was documented during in-office visits was accurate and consistent with my recollection. However, I noticed that none of my phone calls were documented in the chart. This is important to me, as I asked several significant questions by phone about medications and their side effects. Having those conversations recorded in my medical file would have been helpful for continuity of care and accountability. In summary, I am sincerely thankful to Dr. Mulholland for providing the diagnosis that finally explained symptoms I had lived with for years. That alone is something I will never forget. At the same time, I hope the practice can improve the consistency and timeliness of patient communication, especially for those who are no longer in acute or surgical phases but still need ongoing support and guidance.

I went from doctor to doctor and and never got answers, most of the time they told me I was 'imagining' things or just 'depressed' and brushed me off because 'I was too young to be having these problems.' I was finally lead to Dr. Shirazi and flew to California to meet with her. Dr. Shirazi listened to my concerns, she ran tests and researched my complaints and got back to me with a clear diagnosis. I ended up needing surgery and of course I choose Dr. Shirazi to do the procedure. The surgery was a success! : ) Dr. Shirazi eased my concerns by answering all of my questions prior to surgery. She demonstrated excellent bedside manner and regularly checked on me after the surgery. So I scheduled my procedure within two weeks and had both Doctors Youssefzadeh and Melikian day of surgery. They were so incredibly professional, fun and kind. I love their personalities!!!!
