She answered all of our questions, which were A LOT! Her confidence and bubbly personality helped us (parents) be calm and trust her experience in the field. The day of the surgery couldn't have gone better. They are very punctual, which is appreciated. They gave her a bear as soon as we arrived. It was her emotional support bear that we were able to take home. They have a group called Child Life Team and they help the little ones cope with their medical experiences. For example, they give my daughter an oxygen mask and applied a chapstick smell she liked. This was to reduce stress when the actual mask would come on. And, they have music therapy! This helped sooo much to distract her and have fun. This was a great way to distract her into taking her calming medicine. Once she left the room, we waited in the lobby and you get a patient id so you can monitor in what stage of the process they are (ex: OR, Recovery, etc). Don't look elsewhere, this is the best place you can take your kiddos for the services they provide.

I've corrected the pronunciation every single time, and I've honestly never heard anyone say my name correctly. Sometimes, even after I say my name myself and explain how it's pronounced, it is still said incorrectly right afterward. I understand that my name may be unfamiliar, and I'm not expecting everyone to pronounce it perfectly on the first try. However, after being here so many times and correcting it repeatedly, I feel there should at least be an effort to pronounce it correctly. If you'd like to hear my feedback, then you should care enough to pronounce not only my name, but everyone's names correctly. Many people have names that may be unfamiliar, and they deserve the same level of respect and effort. I also don't want a response saying that you'd "like to hear my feedback" or asking me to explain further. This is my feedback. I'm sharing it because I would like the issue to be acknowledged and addressed, rather than receiving a generic response. Please make an effort to use and pronounce my name correctly, and if possible.

Coming from someone who works in healthcare, I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and…read morerespect that this company had towards my family. My autistic brother was sent a referral from his PCP for a heel lift and orthotic shoe for his severe scoliosis back in May 2023. My brother had an initial appointment for a shoe fitting, which went well. However after months of back and forth, the company kept insisting that there was a discrepancy in the doctor's orders. I had my brother's PCP fax over their clinicals multiple times to this company, but every time it was faxed they kept saying they never received it. This alone took months and I figured that there was lack of organization or perhaps lack of internal knowledge amongst staff members regarding how to run a fax machine. Finally I got someone on the phone named Paul who stated that they received the clinicals. According to Paul, the "discrepancy" was that the doctor had ordered the supplies but that my parents stated they weren't sure if the shoes would work for my brother....First of all, that's not a discrepancy. Second of all, it seems like they were just trying to make an excuse to not provide my brother with the shoes. After explaining that we are still interested in being provided the shoes, Paul states that we need to make another appointment. When asked what this appointment was for, he fumbled with his answer and vaguely said it was for a "re-assessment." Of what, I'm not sure. Since I'm not around the area, I told my mom and dad who had to take work off to make it to said appointment. Finally, the day of the appointment comes. But my parents were told that due to recent management changes, they can no longer provide the supplies to my brother. I'm not sure why it took 5 months and over 6-7 different phone calls for them to make us aware of this. My suspicion is that because my brother is a Medi-Cal patient, they would not receive much reimbursement from the supplies they would have to provide for him. Instead of telling us up front, they wasted our time and energy. When confronted about this, Paul provided a lackluster list of excuses. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This review has been a long time coming…read more Our family has been dealing with Paul and this company for several months for an orthotic measuring and prescription for a family member with autism and concerning spinal cord issues with difficulty walking. It has taken us months to even be considered for a measurement appointment to which we were LAST MINUTE (aka day of our appointment that we've been trying so hard to schedule) told that due to management issues they were unable to provide us with the shoe. However they were privy to these changes in management months beforehand yet didn't discuss this with us at all (we've had two to three LONG conversations over the phone). We ultimately had to take time off from work only to be shooed off at the door and provided a later half sincere apology. I CANNOT and WILL NOT recommend this company to anyone requiring help. They do not have their patient's best interests in mind and have given us the runaround for months and months. We have been reasonable with our approach and requests but unfortunately they have fallen short time and time again.

In the olden days, before massive corporations pushed small mom-and-pop stores out of business,…read morealmost every neighborhood had its own independent neighborhood pharmacy. Many of these functioned as mini-department stores, having a wide selection of goods to meet the needs of the community: cookware, clothing, and gifts, just to name a few categories. Webster's Pharmacy seems to be one of these almost extinct businesses that has miraculously survived in Altadena since 1926. I was on my way to Bulgarinia Gelato when I noticed the cool retro signage of Webster's and decided to pop in to check it out. There's a large, free parking lot in the back, as well as street parking in the front. I was pleasantly suprised to find not only a fully stocked pharmacy but an absolutely adorable gift shop featuring BOOKS and other gifts. This includes a section devoted to ANTHONY BOURDAIN (a hero to many Yelpers, despite his utter disdain for Elite Yelpers, may he RIP). There are holiday candies, slippers, Christmas tree ornaments and pretty much something for everyone (there was even a section for folks that like to use "colorful metaphors", as Spock would say.) I'm not sure if the gifts are stocked year round but if you need something last minute for the holidays, Webster's can certainly help. Most items are full price but occasional discounts apply. Long live Webster's!
