My experience at Focus Eye Center was absolutely incredible. I can't imagine going anywhere else for anything eye-related. The entire staff was wonderful, and Kyle in particular was professional, kind, and extremely attentive. He explained every step of the process clearly, helped ease my fears about the quick, noninvasive procedure, and never made me feel rushed. He took the time to answer my questions, demonstrated what to expect, offered me water, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. Since this was my first experience at an eye clinic, I'm especially grateful that Kyle made it such a positive one. He is the reason I would come back with no hesitation. Dr. Jones and Dr. Khine were just as lovely and welcoming. They treated me as though I were a close friend or member of their family and made sure all of my needs were taken care of. I had irritation in my eye for a few days and noticed a small cyst on the white part of my eye. Naturally, I freaked out. A CYST? On my EYEBALL?! Fortunately, a good friend mentioned Dr. Jones to me previously, and I was able to make a same-day appointment with him. He assured me that the cyst wasn't serious and gave me a few options for treatment. We opted for the medical option (steroid drops), and the cyst went away after a few weeks. However, there was still irritation on that part of the eye. Dr. Jones mentioned it's part of a larger issue -- that I have bumps under my eyelids due to chronic contact lens wear -- and we need to treat that. I've always had what I thought was dry eyes due to excessive contact use, as diagnosed by other optometrists and ophthalmologists. However, Dr. Jones noted that my eyes aren't actually that dry, and much of my irritation is due to the friction that caused bumps under my eyelids, which originated from the contact use. Dr. Jones has been treating me for the past 6 weeks and my eyes are feeling much better. I like that he has a game-plan for my eyes and we're approaching the issues from multiple angles. His office has been reasonable as well, since I'm not going through my regular insurance. Lastly, the staff is friendly and extremely responsive. They can even communicate through text. My optometrist gave me a list of specialists, I picked Dr Jones. Great Dr, he prescribed a few different drops to hopefully solve my issue. I did that for 2-3 weeks, he checked me again, unfortunately, there was no improvement and he advised me to see a surgeon who can help me. I really appreciated his approach to try something less invasive first to see if it resolved my issue. He's very knowledgeable, easy to discuss things with and a great listener. Wow would describe everything. Everyone in that office are so kind and not fake. The office is spotless and very comfortable, when doing exams. When I know I need to go to post op appt , I can't wait, it's actually fun! Both doctors are so knowledgeable and friendly. My eye surgery was so easy. My eyes were so bad I couldn't drive anymore and there were no glasses that would help. My right eye I couldn't even see the biggest letter. I had surgery on one day to remove cataracts and the next day, my eye was 20/20. I could see the smallest letter on the chart!!!! I have one eye to go, I can't wait! They are the best of the best! I came to Focus Eye Center because I was looking for a doctor to confirm I had severe cataract and that it can be operated well. I checked UHC app and saw Dr. Bryan Jones had good reviews and have 5 stars. I scheduled and was given appointment right away and was glad I did, Their office is clean and the staff were all very nice and professional. I met Dr. Jones who discussed with me the cataract surgery as well as costs, Dr. Jones also was very responsive and answered me by email any concerns I had. I almost cancelled surgery because I was scared and people were saying I was too young but Dr. Jones assured me that I will be happy with the results. I had my first left eye cataract surgery 11/17 in the morning and by noon, I could see so good on my left eye, everything looked brighter and sharper. I went next day for follow up and was happy to note I have 20/20 now on my left eye. I saw Dr. Khine for my follow up and everything went well. I started seeing Dr Kay T Khine almost 2 years ago and she and her staff have been wonderful. Just recently she finally got me qualified for cataract surgery for both eyes. Wow, where do I start? In my teens, I discovered I needed contacts or glasses to correct my nearsightedness and mild astigmatism, particularly in my left eye. Then, in my early 20s, a serious motorcycle accident led to extensive reconstructive surgery and changed how my tear ducts functioned. Before the accident, I wore contacts all day, but afterward, chronic dry eyes limited me to just a few hours. I never really considered bedside manner when it came to my optometrist but Dr. Khine's warm and empathetic care made for such a lovely visit. I had to come in for some follow up testing and Dr. Khine and her staff made for a speedy and comfortable visit (well, as comfortable as you can be with your eyes dilated haha). I had a Chalazion on my eyelid that I attempted to care for at home however it began to get larger in size each day. I called focus and asked for an appointment due to the discomfort and they were able to get me in the next day early morning. My experience with Dr. Khine & Maddie was awesome they made me feel comfortable during the recommended procedure. I have had an eye problem for many many months and it took quite some time to get an actual diagnosis from two other doctors. Her staff replied by email with a scary diagnosis. Dr. Jones did a great job at helping my eye get back to normal. I had a chalazion that did not drain on its own. After two months I decided it was time to get it taken care of. I called for an appointment and got one that same week. When I arrived, Dr. Jones explained to me what chalazions were and performed a small surgery to get it drained. This review has been long overdue. I thought my daughter just had a pink eye, but we were urged by our optometrist to visit the children hospital's ER in LA. As it turns out, she had keratitis caused by virus. We saw an ophthalmologist in its eye clinic a few days later and scheduled a follow-up in one month. Days before that appointment, my daughter's eye infection came back. I decided to try a local ophthalmologist this time. I noticed another commenter here having the same eye issue as my daughter had, so I called the Focus Eye Center. It was a Saturday morning. The receptionist heard our story and quickly accommodated us on the same day. I came in because I had blurred vision in one eye; Dr. Khine tried her best to figure out what was wrong with me. Unfortunately, what she found was beyond what they could do for me. I needed an MRI. That was scary considering I don't have insurance, but she was really helpful in suggesting options. As I left she asked I call back with an update; I failed to do so - because I ended up getting admitted into the hospital for 6 days! But she called me the following day - Just to check on me! Which I thought was great. They really went above and beyond and genuinely cared. The MRI scans really really changed my life... Turns out I really needed them! Since moving out to LA I've had a hard time finding a local eye doctor to take care of my various eye issues.
