First visit was wonderful. Short wait time, clean facility. Nice and courteous interactions with receptionist and Daniel. Came in for my fathers Right Below The Knee amputation. Daniel went over the timeline expected for the prosthesis process. He was extremely patient and thorough, going over the stump prep, molding, testing, fitting, refitting and medi-Cal insurance coverage and secondary insurance coverage with which pertains to my elderly father. Also note that the type of prosthesis necessary depends on lifestyle. I'd also point out that having a lighter prosthesis doesn't mean it's better. Like a good kitchen knife, it should have some weight to it. I had a wonderful time asking a million questions away to Daniel. There were two handicap spots in front of WaBa Grill. Quick tip: don't eat at the WaBa Grill next door. Save yourself and go to Tender Greens instead for the same type of food. I'll update this later as with progress on the prosthesis. read more

We took our baby here for a helmet. We were so impressed by how passionate Sean is, and both Sean and Angel were so wonderful to work with. We like that the helmet is one that the babies can grow into, so you will most likely never need to buy a second helmet. When my son graduated from needing a helmet, we were a little sad to not be visiting this office anymore, because it was a real pleasure working with such a passionate team! But most of all, the results were phenomenal. My son is now almost 5 (I am pretty late on writing this review, but was telling a friend about how great they were and realized I never wrote one) and his head has retained the corrected shape perfectly. I had a partial big toe amputation, and after that it was very hard to walk. The insole I got made me forget that I have any problems. Just finished Mt. Whitney in one day, 22 miles!!! No problem with my foot whatsoever. Tried to walk without the insole around my house for 1 mile and started feeling discomfort in my ankle right away. I took my son to Stellar Prosthetics & Orthotics at 4 months old. He has been seeing Angel for about 5 months. Everything was so easy and properly taken care of...from the billing to the consultation and head measurements. I am extremely satisfied with the results. The shape and shifting of his head and ears have completely changed to the better. Angel is amazing at what she does. She is very sweet and gentle when handling my son during his measurements. She is extremely knowledgeable and great at breaking down the process to you and explaining everything in a simpler way. We will definitely miss seeing her every month. The front office receptionist is very sweet and accommodating and it has always been a breeze making, canceling or rescheduling appointments. I had a wonderful experience here with Sean. I brought my daughter here for her "flat head" syndrome or brachial plagiocephally. We started her at 3 months of age in a doc band / helmet and she was in it for only two months to correct her asymmetry. Sean is so passionate about helping babies with this challenge. He gave me his cell phone number for any concerns I had when I got home with her and I did text him several times and he talked me through my concerns! He scanned her head at every appointment to note progress which made it more encouraging to keep having my baby use the helmet. Everything worked out great as he expected. I called in someone answered asked if I had a prescription I said yes she then told me to hold on & I was on hold for 10 mins then got disconnected I guess ? I called back no one answered left msg asking for someone to call me back so I can schd an apt & still haven't heard back from anyone and it's been over 24hrs now. I came in with an referral to utilize my orthotics benefit before the end of the year. After getting sized, I was told my insurance didn't cover orthotics. Knowing my coverage, I told them it was covered and mentioned I work for healthcare. Gladys then stated the insurance hung up on the person who called and later said the person who called hung up after waiting too long. Mind you, I was there maybe 10 minutes. I then showed Gladys my coverage online and she said she would place the order after confirming my coverage. I emailed her and followed up twice, two weeks later since nothing. This business lies to people to get them to pay upfront. I will advise everyone who comes in to know your medical benefits and don't believe them if they say you are not covered. My son to wear a helmet for his flat head. It was so bad that it changed the shape of his face. We did a consult at another office but chose Stellar instead. His treatment was successful. Both of my sons needed corrective helmets for their misshapen heads! With my first son, I saw Sean for a free consultation and he was very unbiased and knowledgeable while I was making my decision on whether to get a helmet or not. He readily answered all questions and never pressured me to get the helmet. We did decide to get it and I'm so glad we did! The results were great and the process was basically painless. Sean really helped me feel comfortable with what to expect and was readily available if I needed anything! With my second son, I knew before we even went to the consult that he needed it. I'm glad I found Sean, who made my son a cute helmet that fits so well on the first try. My son's head is already looking much better after 3 months. When it comes to customer service, this company is great. They walk the extra mile it seems with every customer to make sure they are comfortable and satisfied with the prosthetic or orthotic devices they provide to disabled people. The owner is personally involved with his customers, which I respect very much. Stellar also does not seem to emphasize much else than customer satisfaction. In other words, I do not sense that they are at all overly concerned about making money off of their customers or their insurance companies. I wish more medical supply companies were like Stellar. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. Our daughter needed a helmet to correct her head shape and Stella handled the whole process very professionally and with lots of care and attention. Appointments are quick without needless wait times ( important if you have a baby) and Shawn gives all information and care you want without making you feel rushed. We had some issues with the helmet ( helmet was fine, just our baby was extra sensitive) Shawn listened to our concerns and offered other options. Staff is really caring as well, Anna spent hours with me on the phone helping to figured out if insurance would cover the helmet. In the end, we paid out of our pocket and it was well worth it.
