She was wonderful and very comforting. I asked her how I could fade all my dark spots and hyperpigmentation. She recommended doing 12 sessions of Spectra Laser every 2-3 weeks. I decided to do it even though I was afraid it would get worse because you hear all kinds of horror stories. On my first day of laser treatment, Dr. Eric was the person who did it for me. Usually, the nurses would recommend that you come 30 minutes earlier than your laser treatment to apply numbing cream on your face. The first thing the nurses will do is take all the before pictures, then apply the numbing cream. You'll sit in the waiting room and wait for about 30 minutes and then you wash your face. After, you'll walk into the treatment room and they'll apply charcoal all over your face. Finally, Dr. Eric will start the laser treatment on your face. He applies the laser 3 times around the whole face, each time getting stronger and stronger. On the 2nd and 3rd time, he has a fan blowing on your face which helps subside the pain a bit. For me, the pain wasn't too bad. It took about 10-15 minutes. I have to say Dr. Eric is great! He always asks how the pain level is for you and helps you feel better. Overall, I would recommend Spectra Laser Treatment at Rejuvayou to anyone dealing with hyperpigmentation. It works, but it is gradual so be patient. The after picture shows my 12th session (about 6 months) of laser treatment. It made a huge difference and definitely a confidence booster. If you're hesitating like I was, go for a consultation and give it a try. I am currently on 13th session and it is still fading. I am definitely satisfied with how Spectra laser helped eliminate my dark spots.

I sat there thinking - these are the people that would be responsible for my pre-op care, my surgery, my aftercare, and any complications that may arise during or after my procedure. And they cannot get the most basic function of the operation right. Ultimately, the consultation fee was a small price to avoid a five-figure mistake. Maybe it's ok for filler and Botox. If like me you are making a permanent decision about your body, beware. I won't undergo a scalpel on an assembly line. Hard pass.

To make matters worse, even after accommodating their last-minute change, I was left sitting in the lobby over 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time with no communication or updates. No apology, no sense of urgency nothing. This has not been a one time issue either, it seems to be a pattern, they're never on time. The front staff comes across as dismissive and unhelpful rather than professional or empathetic. Instead of making the post-surgery experience smoother, they add unnecessary stress. Another major concern was the lack of communication on the day of my surgery. My Husband, and family was not provided with any updates during the procedure, and my husband's calls were not being answered. This caused unnecessary stress and worry during what is already a very serious and vulnerable situation. Additionally, during my pre-op appointment, I was told my surgery would not exceed 7 hours. However, I ended up being in the operating room for over 10 hours with zero updates to my husband at any point. That is a significant difference, and it's very concerning that expectations were set one way and reality was completely different with no clear communication to my family during that time. They caused my husband an extreme amount of stress not having answers especially after he and I were both assured my surgery wouldn't go more than 7 hours. What concerns me even more is my progress and results. At this point in my recovery, I expected to see noticeable improvement in my arms and haven't changed and in some ways they feel even feels worse. Not being able to address these concerns directly with the doctor and instead being redirected to a nurse does not provide the level of care, reassurance, or accountability I expected from a surgical practice. Overall, I feel like my concerns -- both medically and as a paying patient are not being taken seriously. Post-operative care should be attentive, communicative, and patient-focused, and unfortunately that has not been my experience here. I would strongly encourage this clinic to reevaluate both their front office operations and their follow-up care process.
