I had lip filler done by Nurse Jennifer in March 2025 and unfortunately had a very poor experience…read more This was my first time ever getting lip filler, so I relied heavily on the provider's expertise and recommendations. I was encouraged to do a dental block for numbing, which left me numb much longer than expected. The bruising afterward was extensive, and I experienced pain and tenderness for weeks. I could feel not only the individual injection sites but also what felt like the path of the needle throughout my lips. As the filler settled, my lips became lumpy, uneven, and unnatural looking. They also felt firm and irregular to the touch. At my follow-up appointment, Jennifer told me the filler needed to be massaged. The massage was incredibly painful--so painful that my eyes were watering during the appointment. She also acknowledged that my lips were crooked, stating they "just needed a little more on the top of one side," but no complimentary correction was offered despite the poor outcome and the amount I had already spent. Considering the results, I'm now grateful that no additional filler was added. Four months later, I sought treatment from another injector because I was unhappy with the results. The difference was night and day. She was able to improve the appearance of my lips using only topical numbing cream, and I experienced little to no bruising afterward. She also explained that my lips appeared overfilled, which likely contributed to the lumpiness and uneven appearance. Even now, I can still see and feel filler remaining in the back of my lips. When I pull my lip down, there is a noticeable bulge that resembles a fat lip. The filler appears to have been placed farther back than necessary,. Looking back, I wish I had done more research before booking. My only additional complaint is that pricing was never clearly discussed beforehand. Because my lips were naturally very small, I agreed to two syringes during the appointment and was surprised by the final bill. As a first-time filler client, I would have appreciated more transparency regarding total costs before treatment began. I was also never given a receipt. I later called to request one and was told it would be emailed to me, but I never received it. Overall, this was an expensive and disappointing experience. Dr. Angell doesn't care about making money off of you. She cares about your aesthetic goals, and the best way for you to achieve them, even if it would mean a loss for her. I went in initially for a lip flip and forehead Botox, and she essentially said she could do it, but I'd get the best results from a lip lift, which is surgical and permanent. Every other clinic I went to told me that I'd need 4-8 units for the flip and 1.5-2 vials of filler to get the results I wanted, which is just an obvious cash grab. Dr. Angell and her staff actually listened to me, understood what I wanted, and didn't try to oversell me on anything. That was enough to cement that this is the place for me. There are so many other reasons to love this place. The decor is tasteful, it's always clean, the staff is SO nice, and my results are always perfect. I've had issues with Botox migrating in the past, and that has NEVER happened here. I've also never even bruised, even when I decided to dabble in lip filler. It also doesn't feel like you're in a sterile doctor's office (even though you technically are in a doctor's office), and I feel like I'm just talking to my friends. The last thing I'll touch on is my incredibly horrible needle fear. I know it's strange to get injectables when you have a full-blown panic attack getting your flu shot, but I'll tell you, these people take CARE of you. My first appointment, I was literally sweating, crying, and on the edge of passing out, but they literally held my hand throughout and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I know it seems silly, but I've never felt more supported in a medical setting. The laughing gas doesn't hurt either, but I'm so comfortable there now, I don't even need it and don't cry! So, it's a little bit of exposure therapy tossed in as a freebie! I know this is long, but I could seriously go on forever about how amazing this place is. If you try it out, you will end up with amazing NATURAL results. I'll close it off with a story. I seriously won a bet at a dinner party when a gal who was talking about celebrities with cosmetic enhancements said, "Everyone who gets stuff done is so obvious. I can tell immediately." I mentioned that work is only obvious when it's bad, but good work is something you'd never notice. I bet her that she couldn't tell who had gotten anything done at the table. She guessed the people with obvious work, but I wasn't on her list. She said, "You just look young because you have great skin." I literally had to show her my receipts to prove it. Part of me thinks she still doesn't believe it, but that's the kind of practitioner you want in your life.

She asked me to send photos and said she would call me back on Monday after reviewing them. I sent the photos as requested and never received a call back. After waiting, I followed up myself. Instead of a phone call or any meaningful discussion, I received a brief message stating: "Thank you for sending your photos. They have been documented and reviewed. No further action is necessary." There was no explanation, no in-person evaluation, no follow-up care offered, and no attempt to address my concerns or provide support after a cosmetic procedure I paid for. Regardless of outcome, patients deserve to be heard, taken seriously, treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering RF microneedling or other procedures to carefully consider the level of post-treatment care and support they may receive. This is not how ethical providers handle unhappy RF microneedling outcomes, especially when a patient clearly feels harmed.
