I was given a diagnosis, prescribed meds and after care discussed. The office and bathroom were beyond clean. My family and I will continue to use in the future. I recently fell on the ice and am dealing with a pretty serious concussion. I went to the ER for it when it first happened on Jan 2nd. I also went to Urgent Care yesterday for it. Brian A. Fix APRN was the one who saw me. He said it was serious and was going to fax over an urgent referral for me so I could have an MRI asap. He refused me to go back to work. He also gave me a list of four phone numbers to call for referral. The first one I called was OUT OF SERVICE! The place he gave an urgent referral to ISN'T EVEN IN PRACTICE ANYMORE! Un-fucking-believable!!!!! And yes, I rechecked the number multiple times and I had it correct. And the 3 numbers after that on the list were ALL the SAME phone number and it was a SURGERY PLACE! They said 2hrs wait time max n we were there for 4 1/2 hours n the staff is very snooty in the front n none were wearing gloves. They charge very high fee for Immigration checkup. They will add lot of extra charges in your bill and they will NOT LET USE INSURANCE for vaccines. It is better to go to other Doctors, In case if you have to go to this doctor for Immigration Checkup, make sure you will not take vaccines from them. You can go to a walgreens, CVS and get vaccines done there and then submit the receipt/paperwork to this doctor. With one Vaccine administered my total bill for immigration was over $700. They don't care if other people get sick. I got a covid test at home and it came back positive but they DONT care my mom told the front desk that my covid test came back positive but they did NOT care. Last night I was coming back from work and was feeling sick with cold / flu symptoms so I decided to go to this urgent care. I arrived there at 7:30pm and the door was locked I looked at the sign on the door and it said they close at 8pm so I rang the bell and here comes an assistant who greets me and says the Dr decided to not see any more patients because there was folks inside waiting already. What kind of business States they close at a certain time and hour and then refuse to see patients within that time. This is unacceptable and terrible work ethic. Quick and easy TB test. My first visit, front office lady Ketina was awesome, personable, and pleasant. I just needed to fill out the paperwork and was in and out. Second visit for the reading went well, and they provided me with all the needed documentation. Great place to go for and affordable, no hassle, $40 TB PPD. No insurance info needed. Service very, very slow!, AFC Urgent Care, on South Main. Another patient walked out because of the delay. Staff members were obviously ill, with no face masks. There was a dead roach in the restroom. Sharps boxes for used needles were full. Not only did she refer to me to another employee as "she" instead of using my name she flung her hand at me and walked away because she lacks compassion comprehension and bedside manner. AFC claims the office are a Veteran Affairs Urgent Care Provider but lack the expertise to treat Veterans. Came here because I wasn't feeling well... it's safe to say that if I could write my own prescriptions for antibiotics and prednisone, I could have treated myself. They didn't give me the right medications the first time around and so I got worse (probably the sickest I've ever been) visited again 48 hours later and told them what to prescribe me (with a lot of convincing) and I was better starting the very next morning. In terms of listening to the patient and doing what they said they would, they're failing. I requested a throat culture to be sent to the lab during my first visit, they didn't listen. On my second visit, after telling them what tests I need done and convincing them based off of an entire list of symptoms I was having, I asked for my throat culture to be sent... they agreed it was necessary and said they were sending it in. I called 2 days later and they told me they haven't gotten the results yet. It's been 4 days and when I called this evening I was told that a throat culture was never sent in. What? So yea, the clinic does its job of helping people when they're sick and it's an emergency but clearly there is a lot of room to improve. For me, all they did was give me the meds I needed after I got worse while on the meds they initially wanted me to take, AND they didn't even provide me with a proper diagnosis. A great clinic wouldn't have needed me to tell them what I should be given, they would've done a throat culture even if they were 99% sure of what I had, and they definitely wouldn't have failed to do one after they indicated a need for it. read more

Waited 1 hour and 30 min in the waiting area. Then it took another 44 minutes in the cold ass room until I saw the doctor. And then he came in to talk to me for just 5 min, gave me my prescription and that was that. Who wants to wait around that long when they aren't feeling well. I went in for an urgent issue and was treated like a thorn in their side. There are other urgent cares out there folks.

Please note this place is an urgent care and still operates as such. They are not by any means a testing center and cannot handle such large volumes, so I completely understand why it would take 3-5 hours for a test to be acquired. They are still evaluating patients whether symptomatic or not, whether you've been exposed or not, you are being evaluated. At the end of the day, they are an urgent care. I've witnessed many patients bad mouthing these poor essential workers who are putting themselves out there for us and trying the best that they can, but some people are just assholes and entitled and unfortunately there's always going to be a handful. I chose to get COVID tested at this site, because at the end of the day, we as patients CHOOSE to come to labs, urgent cares, or plain old testing centers to wait our turn as there is a high demand in testing with the increase is positive cases in the area. I think the staff did a great job today, they explained what the process was. I was given the option to leave and come back and was told to call in 3-4 business days for my results. I went to get some breakfast, had a meeting over the phone, and reviewed some emails. I waited for maybe 2 hours and 45 minutes, the test was pleasant, I spoke with a very friendly physician, and went about my day. Again, I cannot stress this enough. This is an urgent care and it seems like it will continue to run as one whether they offer testing or not, at the end that is what they are advertised to be. It is NOT a one-stop testing. If you are looking for a one-stop testing center that will not ask you questions, have you fill paperwork out, or have you see a physician, then may I recommend a hospital. That would be the better approach, wherever you're going to go, you are going to have to wait. That's just the bottom line and unfortunately the world we live in. You guys keep up the great work! Awful and disorganized. I went for Covid testing and I understand the overwhelming amount of cases right now, but they are not doing anything responsibly. We got there early before opening and it took 5 HOURS to get a single test done. No warning it would take a while. Then they have you all stand in a line, and then never made directions clear as to any steps in the process. Then the Doctor calls with my test results and so I requested that I needed them to be emailed to me to show to my job, and he advised me to COME IN to the office with Covid to get the results. As a doctor, he basically advised against quarantining and told me to come into the facility to get a slip of paper, because he couldn't be bothered to ask for it to be emailed over to me. We are very grateful to the team of outstanding nurses and med techs who took great care of our son when he needed stitches. They recognized that he was freaking out and knew the right things to say to him to get his mind off of what was happening. They took time with us and didn't rush him through the procedure. Terrible. Had to get a Covid test for my employer. The logistics were awful, the communication was worse, and sensitivity to the concerns of patients was non-existent. Took 3 hours to get my test and there was no communication regarding this unnecessary in-person wait time. They had an awareness of the number of people ahead of me as well as the average duration of the testing process, but won't do the simple math to let you know 12 people ahead at 15 minutes a person means you should come back in 3.0 hours. After getting my test, I never got a phone call with my results. What was worse was the helpless feeling I had when trying to get my results. They never answered the phone and have a full voicemail system. I had to go back in person days after my test and a dozen failed phone calls. They refuse to staff the place in a way to support the needs of patients. Also, they are unaware of or unwilling to use the technology to allow for a more streamlined process. It would take little effort to improve Covid related logistics but I believe they are simply incompetent. I hope the quality of my test was better than the process of taking it and getting the result. I believe if they can't handle new patients they should stop taking them or it creates a false sense of service. What it does create is a hopeless feeling that was truly upsetting. I hope they sit down, identify the flaws in their process and address them. I would love to find out they have fixed their logistical horror show and step up to help the community in a way they unable to do at this time. read more

I went in today only because my PCP was booked. What a waste of two hours!! I have had a cold for a week now and it's only getting worse but instead of writing me a prescription for antibiotics told me to do what I am doing already- which is not helping. I wouldn't be in an Urgent Care if I was getting better. I am in healthcare unfortunately can't write prescriptions or I wouldn't waste my time there. Absolutely, not worth the time and the stress. Very very rude staff no wonder they have only two starts. The receptionist is rude beyond belief, lazy and ill equip to handle her job. I was in and out of the Main Street office within a half hour. Everybody was very nice and attentive. I was lucky that there was not a waiting room full of people when I came in. I have been there before with my daughter, and depending on how many people walk in, we have had to wait up to an hour to be seen. I came here after twisting my ankle, the wait wasn't bad and the first receptionist was pleasant enough. I saw the Dr for about 15 seconds and was told I would need x rays. A very unpleasant long haired blond woman came to fetch me for the x rays, it was on the other side of the practice so I was made to shuffle down the hall with 0 assistance. The woman was about 10 feet behind me and stopped to talk to a colleague on the way. After the x Ray this wonderful human being told me the room number and sent me on my way. 20 minutes later the doctor told me I had a fracture and referred me to a orthopedic surgeon ( which of course was not in network for my insurance ). No pain meds, no anti inflammatories. Another 10 min goes by and another person is sent to give a stabilizer for my ankle. This woman didn't even know how to use this particular piece of equipment properly. There was a blue plastics bubble at the top, I ask her ' what is this for ' she responds by saying that it does nothing. I get home and notice there's a valve on the stabilizer and low and behold the blue bubble inflates the black boot with air to make a snugger fit. Which makes a huge difference. So the people are incompetent and super rude. The middle aged women with long blond hair checked me out and she was super unpleasant and made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience. read more

Awful. I came in and waited for over an hour (even though I checked in online) and then was given a flu test which came up negative. However, the doctor clearly didn't feel like actually trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Instead, she prescribed me Tamiflu even though I didn't have the flu! Two days later my fever was up to 105 and I had to be hospitalized. It turns out I had pneumonia. Had they diagnosed me properly, I wouldn't have ended up being hospitalized. The ER at Danbury hospital though was amazing! I will never go to this urgent care again. I do not recommend it to anyone. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for their ridiculous bill for the NOTHING they did for me. read more

If you are in need of a doctor do not come here. Employees are rude and incompetent; I brought my girlfriend because she has been having horrible flu symptoms the past week, and her lungs and throat are in a lot of pain. It took hours to get called in and was only called in because she went inside to ask and found out that they were taking long because they didn't have her SSN (She does not have one). When in the office, the doctor barely looked at her and didn't even check her lungs. In the end, the results show that she has the flu. During the screening, she was asked if she had an allergic reaction -- she said yes for amoxicillin and wrote it down in the paperwork -- When the doctor (Alex Gabriel) prescribed what she had to take, my girlfriend asked what it is, he said antibiotics, when she asks which one specifically, he says "amoxicillin," precisely the antibiotics that she's allergic and that can kill her. Beyond just being rude, Dr. Alex Gabriel is incompetent and negligent. When finally prescribed a medication that she can have, they send it to a closed Walgreens; when we try calling to change, nobody answers, and the mailbox is full. If you have to go to the doctor, just go anywhere besides here. I've tried to find a number, email, or anything else to contact to complain about this but couldn't find any number, so I came here. read more

Terrible service! They opened late and the receptionist not only was unapologetic, but was outright rude. Even though we signed in on line we still had to fill out the same information when we arrived and waited in line like everyone else. Staff treated us like second class citizens as if they were doing us a favor rather than providing a paid service. I looked online and found that most of the Urgent Cares in the area are privately owned with little to no oversight. Going to my primary care physician next time. My first-time experience with this clinic (2 main street) was awful! The front desk lady was extremely rude and lack of customer skills. I visited the office at 5 pm 05/11/2018 for a medical exam for immigration purpose. I called in an hour earlier trying to make an appointment for next week and been told by that lady I don't need an appointment and it's a walk-in clinic. I also asked her to double check what is the good time for me to come in, and she told me I can come in today. I said perfect and came in an hour later, and the lady lied to me in front of her co-worker that she never said that and ask me to make an appointment. It's even cited in their own website walk-in visit acceptable for immigration medical exam! She doesn't know what she is talking about. I was little upset, and then she started to have a terrible attitude trying to cover up her lies by saying I made the call to a wrong place and they never got a call asking that and make me look like an idiot. I'm very sure it's her on the phone call cuz her accent is very unique. Then I walked away and went to another clinic which has fantastic customer service and so close to where they are. I will never do any business with this AFC Urgent Care. They are terrible! First time customer treated like shxt. I hope there are negative stars to give. But, the PA named Melanie did not even look in my mouth. She just walked in stated that test was negative, said they would send out throat swab for culture and would receive a call in a few days.... in and out.. she was done! read more

Outrageous prices! Went for a sinus infection, they "forgot" about me in the exam room. Charged my insurance $452 for a ten minute visit with a physicians assistant . I'm heading back to Brookfield even though it's less convenient. Steer clear of Urgent Care!! read more
