Medical assistant Mariana helped me a lot with today visit she was very helpful and kind she got me in and out very quick.

The clinicians are nice and the doctor is as well. Mariana is a nice help young lady. Did a great job with assisting me today.

Like others have experienced, the doc was great. The rest of the staff...needs training or is so burnt out that they just don't care. I register online, arrive early and check in and am told one person is in front of us. I watch 4 people get called back and get a text 45 min later that I've missed my appointment and they've removed me from the queue. I go back up to the counter and the person says "oops." The triage person waves the thermometer around and records a temp below normal. Kid is on fire. I ask the doctor to retake it, and, sure enough, fever. Prescription sent to pharmacy where it's OUT OF STOCK. I call and they say they'll call back. I call back again 90 minutes later. They are very confused. Tell me they will send it to another pharmacy. Arrive at said pharmacy. It is not there. Thankfully, they were able to locate it. They are the only urgent care in town, so I imagine we'll be back. And, like I said, the doctor was good. read more

My husband visited AFC Urgent care in Santee because he cut his finger open in the kitchen. I looked on the AFC urgent care website and they offered an online check in. It was scheduled at 12:30 and was able to get in within 15 min of the 12:30 time slot. They were all very friendly and were able to cauterized his finger to stop the bleeding. Overall our experience at this urgent care was great. I love the ability to be able to check in on their website and not have to fill out anything while in the waiting room. His provider was Hazan who had Rand to assist. Will definitely be coming back in the future for urgent medical needs. read more

I was just treated the other day for a cut on my hand that required stitches. Everyone that worked on my hand from the person who cleaned the wound to the doctor that stitched me up was so kind and gentle. They kept me informed the whole time. Even to let me know that they would be in to see me next .... sometimes the worst part about waiting for a doctor is sitting in the room wondering if they forgot about you!!!! Overall .... We had a wonderful experience here. We've never been before and weren't sure what to expect as urgent care clinics can be hit or miss. They have virtual check in which is really efficient. We were seen very quickly and they gave our daughter great care. The staff was helpful and cheerful too. It's such a bummer to go to an urgent care or hospital where the employees hate their jobs. This place is absolutely unbelievable! I would give zero stars if I could. LONG wait! I was seen by a 18 year girl who had zero idea what she was doing. Do not go here if you actually need help or advice because you'll end up teaching them! They billed the wrong insurance and the bill got sent to collections without me knowing. They didn't know how to draw my blood and wanted me to come back on another day, while I was sick. They couldn't run other tests because they're just a clinic. What a waste of time, money and resources. Never ever go here. read more

This is the rudest place I've ever been. When I first arrived they ( meaning the two woman at the front desk) acted as I was an uninvited guest. I explained what my problem was. I had knee replacement 2 weeks ago. I'm having an allergic reaction to something and I'm covered in hives. The two unsympathetic women at the front desk, said it would be a two hour wait. At first I was a little upset about the wait time but my husband convinced me that I needed to stay. They never said anything about having to wait in the car. But my husband and I decided to go wait it out in my car. An hour and 45 minutes into our wait my husband went in and asked them how much longer was it going to be. They told him 30 more minutes. So just having a knee replacement you're not supposed to be in a confined area for long because you can get blood clots. So I started walking and pacing in front of the office . I couldn't stand being in my car any longer so I went inside and sat down for a few minutes. The rudest of the two women told me I couldn't wait in there because of their policies that I had to wait in my car. I told them again, I just had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago and I can't sit in my car any longer. She raise your voice at me and said that is our policy!!. I told her your policy sucks in that second she said we will not be seeing you and I said some profanities and walked out. These are two woman very uneducated with medical conditions. And they were other people sitting in the lobby waiting to be seen or had just been seen so I didn't see what the problem was with me sitting there two or three minutes before my appointment. I do not recommend these people I will never returned this facility. both of their employees at the front desk need to be educated on customer service and compassion. please heed my warning and don't go here you're taking your own life in your own hands. read more

Came for a rapid test. Waited 3+ hours even though they told us 1 hour. There are no appointment times, only walk in's so I'm not sure why so many people are going ahead of us. Took vitals 2 times, doctor and nurse talked to us. The doctor seemed nice. She understood my frustration. Still no test done. Finally was swabbed and told someone will call us in 24. It's a rapid test. I should know in a few minutes. No thanks I'll wait until I get my results. Another 30 minutes for results. FYI the test was for Comic Con. We have home rapid test but they required us to go to a facility and be tested. read more

With the exception of the front desk receptionist (whom was the only professional in the office) the medical staff was rude, very unwelcoming, unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs! Front desk workers are incredibly rude and uncompassionate, the doctors are not knowledgeable, impatient, arrogant, and also rude. I called ahead to check insurance for a rapid covid test and was told it was accepted and they start testing at 4, but come early and wait in line. We were forced to sit outside in over 100 degree weather directly in the sun for 25 minutes, only for them to open the door and give us paperwork we could've been filing out the entire time. Upon bringing back the paperwork I was told that they actually don't accept our insurance for rapid tests, and I can either pay $259 or wait 7 days for results with the other test. Ridiculous! I could've been told this over the phone to spare us waiting in the heat. Just go to CVS or Walgreens where you can wait in the comfort of your car and get your test results back significantly faster. I've been to this office for other illnesses only to be dismissed and sent home. I came in with a terrible cough and trouble breathing (not covid) and was told to go home and take vitamin C and zinc. I ended up going to my doctor the next day and found out I had severe bronchitis and was immediately put on antibiotics, prescription cough syrup, and an inhaler. I've also come in for an obvious UTI and was again dismissed and told nothing was wrong. They called me days later saying they were wrong and I did infact have an infection and need antibiotics. I was in this clinic last week, got a COVID test and work note from the doctor. I was not feeling good and there was a two hour wait. They receptionist said I was able to leave and they would call me when it was my turn. Even thought it is a walk in facility they are very accommodating when it comes to wait time. Normally don't write reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience today with the staff. I brought my mother in and was greeted up front with care & respect. Due to the extremely urgent matter, we were able to be seen within minutes! Elizabeth was the MA who took my mother's vitals. Although all she did was vitals, we could tell that she truly cared and was concerned with the matter. These are the people that should be working in healthcare!! No matter the situation, show your patients you care & are there to help. The doctor was able to see us and send us on our way within a reasonable time as well. Will definitely be coming back if I ever need to visit an urgent care facility. read more

*COVID RAPID TESTING* Came here for the rapid covid testing. We had to wait for until 4 pm for their testing time. We had to fill out paperwork to register. The front desk lady was rude and said "outside!" as we began filling our papers out. Yeah, we had to fill out our papers outside, where the wind and lack of any writing surface made it unnecessarily difficult to complete. Then we had to wait for a call from them to get triaged over the phone. We waited an hour and a half for the call. The nurse asked us a bunch of questions that felt completely unnecessary to being covid tested. We were finally called inside and the nurse took our vitals, again unnecessary for a covid test. Another nurse came is and shortly said "name", then tested us. The original nurse took us to an exam room and just told his to have a seat and shut the door. He never told us why. I had to open the door and ask them what we were waiting on. They said we were waiting on the physician. I don't understand why it had to be a complete fucking doctors appointment for this. If you need to be covid tested, don't bother coming here. We had to wait 2 hours for a simple covid test. If you need to be tested, get it done at the county of San Diego. It's free, unlike this place. It costs $139 for the visit and $120 for the test, if your insurance doesn't cover it. With the county, you can swab your own nose, and you'll get an email the next day with your results. read more

I was not feeling well and I went to this place I was visiting family. I went in the took a test sent it out to a lab and said within 48 I would have the results.,They gave me a a strong antibiotic to take for a week. I called twice and no results. They said they would call me back. It's been three weeks went back home called them again she said it shows negative no infection. I said you had me take antibiotic for no reason could of called me and told me so o would not continue taking medicine I don't need. I said I wanted a supervisor they kept me on hold forever. So I did the review of how horrible they are and got a response to contact the I'm guessing the manager of the clinic so I reached out to her 6 days ago and so far haven't heard anything. I reached out again today and still no response. This place is horrible and I'm going to go to social media, the news, and I'm also looking in to doing a lawsuit for the horrible, horrible care that I received at the hands of Dr Tom Dabrowski. This Michelle or Michaela whatever her name is is not even worried about contacting people when they experience horrible service but she tries to make it look nice by responding and saying oh please contact me with your information, no response this place needs to be shut down. read more

I hurt my ribs and went to AFC urgent Care they took x-rays and told me I was fine the next day I was still in pain and went to grossmont hospital grossmont told me I broke my rib in half my number seven rib AFC called me back in 3 days and told me they reviewed my x-rays and I was okay I told them I went to grossmont hospital and my ribs were broken they did not know what to say I give them a one-star just because the people are nice did not go to them for workman's comp go to the hospital. read more
