Ben our cat was not feeling good since Thursday. We attempted to get him into his vet, but they were closed Friday. We took Ben to this ER on Sunday. We were promptly greeted by a kind and professional young woman. She gathered all info needed and had us fill out info (address, pets info as well). During this time two urgent situations occurred. Two different family's with dogs that were needing treatment asap. We had no problem waiting. It's an ER and sometimes these things happen. Please note Ben, was taken back fairly quickly. Going into this we thought he may have a UTI, but we were not entirely sure. We knew Ben's actions were not the norm. We had a conversation with the Doctor and she gave suggestions with options. We went ahead and got him throughly checked over (blood work and exrays ect.). Results - UTI, meds, and food diet change prescription. I thank Dr.Cassandra Van Nieuwal for saving our boys life. She was kind and caring. Sunday was a very busy day in that ER. I prayed for everyone's animals as well as our boy. I am thankful for this ER and their professionalism. At a different veterinary - last year our boy Levi was not diagnosed properly (nor attempted to be diagnosed) and in a matter of days he deteriorated. We brought him to this ER. They did what they could. But, unfortunately, due to the lack of diagnosis from a loval vetinary office and staff on Nova, our boy Levi didn't stand a chance. Subsequently, I am thankfully that Levi is no longer in pain and we got to say our goodbyes (very heartbreaking). Lastly, I am thankful for the Animal Hospital ER because without it our boy Ben might not have made it. God Bless you and thank you.

I drove straight from the airport as soon as I got home and I was told by Lisa that I could come in anytime to see my cat to boost his spirits. I was waiting in a room for over an hour and was told I couldn't see my cat until a doctor came in and spoke with me, despite what Lisa had said in the past. Another nurse kept coming in and out just trying to talk money and financial plans and credit cards I could open up to help pay for the treatment. She was extremely insensitive to the fact that I just wanted to see my sick cat. I finally got to see him and discussed with Dr. Long that she hopes to see improvements the next day. The next day comes and Dr. Long goes on a spiel on how she thinks he's improved and is walking around in his cage and drinking water. I was so excited and ready to pay for another treatment right there. Luckily, My mom told me to see him before I pay for anything else. When they took me back to see him, he could barely open his eyes and hold his head up or even stand. I really would've appreciated HONESTY from the staff on his stability and chances of actually getting better. Again, THE NURSE LISA, was very kind, let me have time with my cat in a private room and was very honest with us about his recovery. Overall just wish there was more compassion and transparency with the whole process. It was really disappointing having my hopes up that my cat was getting better but In reality he looked worse than when he came in. And I did not appreciate the money hungry nurse trying to get more money out of me when I hadn't even seen my cat since he's been sick.

Although I was here for several hours 12:30-6am, my cat was cared for and gently handled the whole time. They were relatively quick with the tests they ran, and everyone was knowledgable and extremely kind. They do xrays on site and are able to triage several pets at one time. There are at least 3 doctors I saw, and so many vet techs who seem to love what they do. I really appreciate all that was done for my cat. I attached my bill as well to my review. Although kind of expensive, it is worth it to have my cat be alive and well. They did give me a discount, again, they were very kind. Base visit is $180 and anything additional will be added in a quote they will show you before more care is applied to your pet. They see cats and dogs, as well as other animals and exotic animals such as birds/rabbits/bearded dragons/etc. I would definitely come back here if my cats were in distress.

Over a dozen team members immediately assembled like a trauma center, working tirelessly to try and bring her back. Although we couldn't save her, their incredible speed, devotion, and genuine compassion gave Genie every possible chance. They treated both of us with so much care during the hardest moment, and I will never forget what they did for us. We need more emergency centers like this--if you ever face a critical situation with your pet, please bring them here and support this extraordinary team with your business and appreciation. Highly recommend.

My experience - extremely long wait. The pricing is insane but they are your babies so you basically just take a deep breath and sign away. My animal wound up needing emergency surgery after sitting there for about 6 hours. I was told the estimated price and the deposit needed. I did ask if they had a payment plan which the tech said "no it must be paid up front" which later one I realized that you can do care credit so I didn't appreciate that that wasn't recommended as an option for me. So I gave them $5,500 as a deposit and was ready to visit with my baby before leaving. As I was visiting they approached me and told me they didn't have what they needed for my cats surgery so basically I had to bring her up to UF animal hospital 2 hours away. They did refund about $3,900 back onto my credit card for the surgery deposit. I started my journey with my cat at 10am and didn't get to the UF hospital until 6:30pm. It was an extremely long day I'm proud of my girl for getting through it. All in all I would obviously go back to this hospital for an emergency just know the wait will be long, the price will be high, AND you can definitely apply for care credit and use it the same day. I was immediately approved at the other hospital and used it that night to pay for the surgery.

We arrived at 7:45pm on a Tuesday night and didn't leave til well after 11:15. The only thing that really irked me was they told us we were "next" at 9:45 and we still weren't seen for close to another hour. I get how triage works, so we were patient. This place is definitely an ER for life or death type emergencies, at least 1 animal was put down while we were there tonight. I really don't think a lot of their negative reviews are fair.

I figured maybe she had a slipped disc or a pinched nerve, but I brought her in anyway. They rushed her back for evaluation and it turns out she had a mass on her spleen that burst, which, in turn, caused her spleen to rupture. She was hemorrhaging and the situation was pretty critical. The way that this team of professionals sprang to action, walked us through everything that was happening while stabilizing her, and rushed her to surgery and managed this complex case afterward was nothing short of heroic. Beyond that, the tools they have rival human grade trauma centers. The staff went above and beyond in every respect.
