Pre-coronavirus, there'd been a LOT of back and forth for us between the two states and sometimes I need to fly Mom down here, or fly her home and we're not able to fly with her. In three such instances, I've trusted and relied on Mirza and the team at AAA and they've been wonderful. Mirza has been so easy to communicate with, very responsive, and very patient with my nervousness about Mom traveling alone. Mom needs some assistance when walking, and is a bit hard of hearing. Six straight times now I've called for a ride only to be told "we're all booked up" or "everyone's at the airport," and to call back in a couple hours, maybe, possibly, but no guarantees even then. Which isn't the kicker. The real kicker was in the light dawning over Marblehead. So I called from another phone, claiming to be at a local hotel, and wanting a ride to the airport a half hour away. Well, NOW they had a cab available ... sure, for a huge fare. It's just local trips they don't want to provide. Not to mention that their name and claims to be "environmentally conscious" are just hogwash. Their cars are like any other, burn gasoline like any other, and if they were THAT environmentally conscious they'd be telling people to take the train or the bus to the airport instead. After attempting to contact a couple of other companies, Archer Limousine came up out of Chicopee. Rick (the owner) from Archer answered immediately and was incredibly helpful in scheduling to pick us up after his earlier fare. He was on time (even early), showed up in a suit and tie, offered to help bring our luggage from the house to the car, and wouldn't let us lift a finger. He was extremely pleasant and professional and his rate was quite fair. $80 for the hour-long trek in Monday rush-hour traffic. We will definitely use him the next time we are in town, and our family in Belchertown is extremely happy to have an inexpensive and safe option to travel to and from the airport.
