I brought my 15 yr old here. She has an old soul as they say. Antiquing is her favorite pastime. As soon as we walked in, her eyes got big and she said "Mom, I'm going to be here for a while." We were there for 2 hrs. It's a treasure trove of possibilities. There are tons of venders who have sections of items. Some can be pricey, but there are definitely deals to be found. In one afternoon, my kid was inspired to redecorate her whole bedroom with antiques and florals. We bought lamps and pictures, and decor for shelves. She was so happy, which made me so happy. I collect vintage Christmas elves from the 50's. I was so excited to find some. I usually find them at estate sales, so finding one in a shop was a bonus. When we rang it all up it came to $250. We walked out with a lot of stuff, so $250 was a great deal. Just remember they don't do returns or exchanges I can't believe I waited so long to show her this place. I was really looking forward to being a part of this store, but the service from the manager was unexpected and quite disappointing. I followed his rules and even showed him what was wrong in the booth space upon needing to downsize but because I showed him his mistake, I was told I was unhappy and had to leave the store. I actually stumbled upon this place by accident since I was in the area checking out a local festival and finally getting a chance to explore the Riverwalk. The door was wide open and I had an amazing time browsing around great antiques. I wanted to check out some fancy pins and specific toy trains primarily. Staff here was absolutely warm and friendly. Plenty of people come here too. Please be cautious because it's a small store and it could be hard to walk around at times with so much stuff here. This place is not trustworthy! Before purchasing baseball cards, I asked the representative if they were all original and she confirmed that they were, and that none were replicas. After further research, I discovered that they were in fact reproductions. This establishment refused to accept a return and the same rep denied that she said they were all original. She lied and said that she told me the day before that only the 1930 cards were fake. Doesn't add up. Why would I buy fake 1930 cards? read more

PROS: Many vendors under one roof, all of whom maintain attractive booths featuring a wide price range and array of goods ranging from true antiques to vintage to used shabby chic. Booths are well lit, items clearly priced. Nobody bothers you so browsing is enjoyable. Location is great, parking right in front of the shop. Be aware and check items carefully, because as another review warns, there are both treasures and trash to be found...some booths display newly made 'antiques' along side true vintage and antique goods. Dealers aren't infallible, they sometimes make mistakes like everyone else...but a few do this kind of thing ( representing new and repro items as genuine antiques and priced accordingly) on purpose. Once you observe a reoccurring behavioral pattern, its not a mistake. NO RETURNS ALLOWED HERE . To avoid disappointment take personal responsibility and do some research because its a bummer to find one's nice purchase is overpriced junk. Bring along a strong friend to help load the truck, or arrange for somebody to come back later and load heavy purchases, there may not be anybody on staff available to help. read more

I love junk and resale and I thought this place was ... boring. The stuff I did like seemed pricey. This place was very large for a antique store- the setup inside was a bit like a maze. I had a trouble hitting all the aisles due to the rows not lining up. While the stuff for sale was nice, I honesty could not find one thing I was interested in. the outside has garden furniture that is not in very good shape. They have a 50 % off room. It was mostly mismatched dishes. Again, Couldn't find a thing. The selection is better than when it was in downtown naperville. I was excited to visit for the first time and purchased a few very cute items. I enjoyed the warm welcome and the selection of booths to browse. What concerns me is after I got home and reviewed our receipts I realized we were overcharged for an item. This particular item my daughter and I pondered over whether to get and went back to the item multiple times and we clearly knew the price, we decided to go with it as there was a sale if you paid cash which we did. Tags are removed from items which is understood as I would think for inventory reasons for the vendors. Being overcharged is disappointing as this was a nice store to shop but due to trust now we will not return. Not particularly affordable, and not all of it is antique. Many of the dealers appeared to be selling items they no longer wanted in their homes. I saw 80s/90s furniture, used make-up from 5 years ago, a movie poster from the 90s, repro costume jewelry, cheese ball signs that say things like "wine. laughter. love.", etc. etc. To be fair, I did see two antiques that really struck my eye, but the prices were above average. It would be a much better shopping experience if they eliminated all of the non-antiques (it seemed like ALL of the booths had a confusing mix of old and new). For the aforementioned reasons, this is the kind of place I might stop by only once or twice a year. read more

I'll tell you, I enjoyed looking around at the items. They have a lot to look at and the items they had were clean and in good condition. Often times you go to these places and find junk covered in dust and cobwebs. While I wasn't blown away it was a very decent store. A lot of the items though weren't antique. Staff very rude walked into the store few minutes before closing, the lady followed us. Did not great us or say how can I help you? She approached us and said we are going to close. I asked her I was looking for a butter dish and if she can help me to spot one. She said there are many in the store and you need to leave as we are closing. As I was walking towards the door. She followed us. I was with my sister. The odd thing, my husband came into the store after me, the lady did not approach him or asked him to leave. And he stayed in the store thinking I was still there. I was waiting for him next to the car as he had the keys. I then ask him where were you. He said in the store. I said did anyone ask you to leave as they were going to close he said no. The only things that come to mind is because my sister was wearing a head cover and the lady did not welcome us. This store is nicely laid out and merchandised. Many things are indeed vintage (50 years old) and antique (100 years old) but buyer beware!! I noticed several newish items marked as vintage but I shrugged and forgave because they were generally good quality, maybe painted to look old. The killer was a "vintage black dresser" which I could tell immediately was not only very new, unused but upon inspection (removing a drawer) I realized it was a piece of junkie new furniture of the quality you might find at Pier One and the like. Nothing wrong with those types of furnishings but Pier One sells them and prices them as such. This was marked around $800. So either the people that run it turn a blind eye to what's being sold or they are ignorant, not sure which, but neither is good. If you know your stuff you'll be fine but if you don't.... read more

I can't speak highly enough of Affordable Antiques. My family has gotten a good amount of antiques from Gary and the crew here. Everyone is crazy helpful, and really get invested in helping you. Example: I went in looking for a treadle sewing machine (the giant ones with the big foot pedals) for my mother. I had a budget in mind, and a brand. If possible (gotta be somewhat flexible with antiques, right?). They knew exactly what I wanted, and said if they didn't have it in store, they had contacts they could reach out to to help me out. Cut to one of the staff, myself and my boyfriend all circling the store, looking for a sewing machine- divide and conquer, right? Lo and behold, there it was! And in a booth with 20% off! It was meant to be. The staff helped me load the sewing machine (weighing easily 75lbs) into my truck, bolster it and brace it with bungee cords (that they so helpfully provided), and made absolutely sure that it was okay before I left. Bottom line, I love Affordable Antiques. They have pretty much everything you could want to find, and if they don't physically have it, they'll help you find it. They're a treasure. This is a pretty large store with many different vendors. Everything is kept up well and there are no "junk antique" booths. During my visit, at least two of the booth owners were there, walking around and visiting with folks. It made me feel more confident because I could ask them questions about their pieces, and some even offered me lower prices on their items. This is a good-sized well-lit space with nice carpeting and layout. Nothing dingy or dusty here, but there aren't many bargains either, despite the name. The dealers tend to have more interesting, unusual and higher-end merchandise. Everything is nicely displayed. I saw a lot of costume jewelry, both old and new. There is also nicer vintage furniture, lighting, knick-knacks, advertising, primitives and glassware, most pre-1950s. Parking can be difficult. The location is in a strip mall with limited spaces. My favorite Naperville antique store because the staff is so friendly, and the areas so well lit and laid out. There are a ton of more expensive items, like unique furniture pieces, pottery, silverware, dish sets, and more. I have such a great time looking for fiestaware, white furniture, and butter knives here whenever I drop by. They also have an amazing collection of vintage jewelry and apparel. There is a discounted section/room towards the far back area. There also seem to be some handmade jewelry artisans posting items for sale towards the back. This is a beautiful shop with numerous vintage items and antiques of varying prices. It is a mom and pop shop with a well-behaved rescue dog supervising everyone while he lounges in his bed. Thetr are some aisles where it may be a bit difficult to move around if you have a disability. The owners are an asset to the community. It will take you a few hours to view all of the items and decide what treasure you must buy. They have so many dealers that it is difficult to remember all of the goodies. They are often so busy that there is not a lot of time to exchanģe pleasantries but they are nice and helpful. I definitely recommend shopping at the shop. read more

I ended up getting a beautiful settee that the owner had reclaimed and painted with chalk as well as re-upholstered. I was raised going to antique stores with my parents. Now that I have moved away I needed to find a good place near me and this one is just right down the block! The store is huge! I have only been in there once but had fun spending over an hour looking at everything. I heard that they are constantly obtaining new products and to check back monthly which I definitely plan on doing. Prices were fair for the 2 items I bought. Everything is in wonderful condition and there is a wide variety of items to shop for and chose from. If you like to antique this place is a must check-out. This is a locally owned business and the owner is devoted to making his customers and the dealers who sell their merchandise there happy and comfortable. If Gary, the owner, happens to be standing near the door when you enter, he'll greet you with warmth and a cheeriness that's engaging. His staff is very helpful and if dealers are in bringing in new merchandise or helping work the floor, they're just as nice. The store boasts a pretty impressive array of antiques and collectibles. As others have noted, you'll find some seriously expensive stuff but you'll also find well-priced things. If there's something you have to have, then engage in some bargaining. I have and received decent reductions. All you have to do is ask! Another thing you'll notice about the store is it has a lot of repeat visitors (like me) and it's not just for the atmosphere. There are a lot of ways to spend your time, and I like antique shopping. (Ok, honestly, I probably like any shopping but antique shops are some of my favorites.) Last summer I decide to check out most of the antique shops in my near vicinity. Once I got to this location, I realized I had been to their old location once and never looked back. The previous location was cramped, stuffy and I wasn't impressed. The new building suits them! The staff has been friendly, and super-helpful in trying to find things, each time I've gone back. They have A LOT of things...so don't go in a rush. They also rearrange, usually with a seasonal/holiday display in the front. This can make it complicated to find something you saw once before...but like they say 'the time to buy an antique is when you see it!' There are gift items, collectors items, and furniture pieces. There are knick-knacks, art, jewelry and home decor...If you need something unique, you could find it here. They have a selection of vintage clothes, which has been priced higher than most I've seen, however there is often a sale. I don't think I've ever purchased something with the full price on the tag...if you seem interested, they may make a deal with you. There is also a notebook, just inside, where you could write down a request. If they find something you are looking for, they will call you. You can tell the owners love what they do and they work to supply an 'old' business with a fresh edge. Of all the places in the area, this is the largest and well worth a visit! read more

When I browse the aisles I wish I had a sugar daddy that could support my love for antiques, but sadly I do not... yet... I've been here a handful of times and always find something I want to buy. Great, and overwhelming selection of everything you can think of. Some stuff can be pricy/some affordable. Kind of just depends if you think its worth it to you I guess. Wouldn't recommend going with wondering kids. Tight aisles and walkways, and a lot of breakable items. This place is pretty cool. There is definitely a HUGE variety of items to choose from... furniture, clothes, accessories, records, home decor, etc. I wasn't too impressed with the prices. I guess things were "affordable" but were nothing to write home about. I'm sure if the vendors were actually there you could negotiate a lower price, but I only saw about 3 or 4 of them. I actually really liked this washboard priced at $35. When I left the store I went next door to a resale shop and the same exact washboard was $10. Overall a nice place with friendly people working.
