They really are affordable and they do their jobs well. When my parents or I ever had a problem with our vehicles we would come here because we knew they were the only place that we had found so far that wouldn't screw us over in either our money or our time. We had been to a couple other places in the area that sucked at either one or both of those things. Broke down on our way to Detroit. Had our car towed here. It was a Friday night and they were closed. We had no idea how we were going to get to our destination. Ended up talking to Stormy and she was so nice. She was able to give us a loaner car to continue on our trip and said she would get the car checked out Monday morning when they reopened. WOW! My husband and I (Chicago) dropped off a friend at Michigan State and on the way home had car trouble. So I called my dad (my mechanic) told him what was happening and he told me to get a hotel and see a mechanic. UGH! We landed in Paw Paw, MI and after calling a friend to google mechanics, went to Affordable auto care. They were amazing! They fit us in, even though originally that meant they had to stay late . . when the opportunity arose to bring our car in earlier they did . . . we were supposed to get out of there around 6, instead we left at 1! We got the Water Pump, Thermastat and seal, Timing Belt, and various other belts done for a very good price. When I reported the cost to my father, he said we got a GREAT DEAL! Our mechanic filled up our fluids and put air in our tire that he noticed was low. They had a bay dedicated to oil changes and took appointments and walk-ins, and were only $20 for an oil change-although we did not get one, I thought it was worth mentioning. My husband and I were so happy with the service. We wish they were in Chicago, we would take our car there for everything! Best prices in town . I trust them completely . They are honest people to do business with . All four of my sons bring their cars here , including all their friends and all their friends . I highly recommend bringing your car here as they take excellent care of not only your car , but the customer too ! Stormy is awesome and ALWAYS takes the time to explain every little detail with me regarding work being done on our cars . I love that they get me in with a appointment either the same day or very quickly . They do excellent , quality work with amazingly low prices . Don't go to this repair shop. The owner, Carlos, does not stand by his work, or by his word. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the Bureau of Automotive Repair. All they are there for is to get your money and forget about you after you walk out the door and drive away. read more

We had our vehicle towed to Affordable. Received an outrageously high estimate for a new engine. When we declined the estimate, the owner offered to buy the vehicle to fix himself. He made multiple offers and we declined them. Because it was not able to be driven, we had arranged to have it towed to another service station. The owner and employees lied several times to us as well as the company that tried to tow it from Affordable. They tried to seek revenge on us by reporting our vehicle abandoned on their property. They had it impounded then acted like we just pulled into their lot and left it sitting. On top of having it impounded, the owner made arrangements with the owner of McDonald's Towing to have the vehicle privately held in his name so he could personally claim it for himself. We PAID them to access our vehicle and simply couldn't afford their estimate for a new engine-- not a personal problem at all. Thankfully, the police department and legal system could see the truth. The owner was trying to steal our vehicle and he didn't get away with it. I can't imagine that the work they do is real honest considering the amount of lies that were involved with our situation. First off, the level of professionalism in that shop is nonexistent. They will promise you the world and then argue with you when their promise comes up empty. If they treat any other customers the way they treated myself and my father I don't know how their doors are still open. I started going to Affordable Auto Care because of the close proximity to my house, and I now have no problem going to a big franchise to get my work done. I will never do business with them again nor will I recommend Affordable Auto Care to anyone! read more
