Not sure what happened with Dustin. Initially, he was responsive to issues and questions. Then, he…read morebecame unresponsive and when he did there was some attitude. After a while, Dustin would make comments to make it sound like he was doing me a favor for doing his job or he would get very defensive. Makes me think there is something else going on with him that is affecting his job and temperament. Dustin was never able to get the pool level restored to the correct level, that was typically an inch or two too low. Dustin claimed he wanted it low for "skimming purposes", but the intake jets should not be gurgling when the pump turned on. He never could get the Leaf filter to remain secure that regularly opened-up dumping debris in the pool. The hose pieces for pool cleaner would regularly separate as well. I asked several times to find a way to secure the components better, and the only laughable attempt that I saw was using electrical tape. Other issues required several follow-up texts and calls. At some point Roger, was not doing a good job skimming once a week, in which I had to follow up after him. I do not mind skimming the pool the other six days, but please do a good job with the one scheduled day to clean the pool and spa. Apparently, Roger is moving on, so maybe he was phoning it in... Technician Ricki was excellent. He did a great job with the new heater installation, which is the only reason why a rated 3 stars instead of 2 stars.

Last week our pool tech Trevor notified me by text that our pool water level was getting low. I asked him to check the automatic fill valve to which he did and reported back that it was stuck. Trevor is to be commended for his detailed approach and follow through as well as follow up and communication with me. He likely saved me over a thousand dollars due to avoiding a fried pump. My maintenance guy neglected my pool while I was out of town for a few months…read more It turned green. We followed the advice on the internet, shocking it and waiting, but after two days it had only improved a bit. We went into Leslie's pool service looking for a pumice stone to scrub down the sides. Omar took one look at our pool pictures and said, "A pumice stone is not going to help." He recommended that we drain it and treat it directly with chlorinated bleach. He explained the whole process and cautioned against doing this during the day when the plaster might get too hot and crack. He didn't push products on us but instead was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We explained to him the problem with our previous pool service and he recommended some pool services that he knew were great. He added that this was the busy season and that if these guys were full, to call him back and he'd help. Well, we followed his advice and it worked! I got my sparkling pool back! While we were draining the pool, we found black algae was starting to grow on the floor of the pool. If we hadn't drained it, we probably wouldn't have been able to directly kill it the way it needed to go. The pool service he recommended came out a few days later and also did a terrific job taking care of us. I depend on the internet for a lot of things, but Leslie's Pool Supplies is where I will always go from now on. Thanks Omar!

We hired PPP to chip out our existing pool, repair cracks, replaster, replace the ladder, install…read morean auto-leveler, and replace the pool light--basically a brand new pool. The quote was on par with other companies, and our pool guy had recommended PPP so it seemed like a no brainer. It took a really long time for the work to be completed, and there were nonstop additional costs all along the way. The gentleman who did the quote botched it, and at one point we had 4 gentlemen from PPP come out (including the gentleman who gave the quote) to our house to discuss all of the additional costs. They bickered amongst themselves and told the gentleman who gave the quote that he did a poor job, and then they walked him around the yard to give him pointers of where he should be looking for future quotes. It was awkward and unprofessional, and in the end we agreed to split the cost. After that, communications became extremely curt, all of the work seemed to be done much more sloppily, and we are still waiting for them to come back to fix the ladder that they installed incorrectly. When friends ask me who did our pool, I tell them "Pima Pool Plastering, but I do not suggest you use them".
