Back then it was honestly one of the few medical offices I actually looked forward to visiting. The staff knew their patients, appointments felt personal, and the care was consistently excellent. Since the ownership change, the practice has gone steadily downhill. It has become a revolving door of dentists and hygienists, with very little continuity of care. The first dentist I saw under the new ownership literally sang to himself while working in my mouth and then spent the appointment trying to upsell me on every cosmetic procedure imaginable. The next dentist I saw was pleasant enough, but it was obvious she hadn't reviewed my history before walking into the room. Today's visit was the final straw. After another new hygienist completed my intake, I spent so much time waiting that I actually had enough time to research other in-network dentists while sitting in the chair. Unfortunately, the appointment only got worse. This was easily the most painful routine cleaning I can remember, and the dentist's bedside manner was shockingly poor. She pointed out a slightly recessed gum and immediately scolded me for brushing too hard, speaking to me as if I were a child. I had to explain that the gum had actually been surgically repaired following an injury--and that the treatment had been performed under the guidance of this very office. She then continued lecturing me about flossing and my gum health, making it painfully obvious she hadn't bothered to read my chart before treating me. A while back I had a fairly serious acute ANUG infection that this office treated. I had specifically been told we would monitor it at my next cleaning, which was this appointment. It never came up. At that point I realized there was no point trying to discuss it because it was clear my records hadn't been reviewed at all. I left without confidence that anyone treating me knew my history or cared to learn it. I immediately requested my records and will be finding a new dentist. It's disappointing because this practice used to be exceptional. Now it feels like the focus has shifted from patient care to maximizing revenue. There has been an attempt to refresh the office, prices have increased significantly, but the quality of care has declined. I don't mind paying more for great dental care. What I won't pay for is a provider who walks into the room without reading my chart, doesn't understand my history, and treats patients with arrogance instead of professionalism. I genuinely hope the practice turns things around, but unfortunately I can no longer recommend New Smile Dentistry. That said, the hygienist who is currently also managing front desk responsibilities is exceptional--professional, capable, and clearly dedicated. Any practice would be fortunate to have her on their team.

I had crowns done on the left side of my mouth (back 3 teeth) they took impressions and put them in my mouth without issue. The problem is that Dr. Fakhimi then removed all the anatomy from the newly delivered teeth leaving me with flat, horizontal pegs for teeth. Perhaps it's my fault for telling him my bite felt off, I don't know. It took forever to chew anything and I couldn't figure out why, I then noticed my teeth were flat. I called the office to see if they could use the impression to redo the teeth but they get rid of impressions once the teeth are delivered. I asked if they could use the teeth on the other side as a guide to give anatomy to the other side but apparently that is not a thing. In summary I paid about $5000 (thats with insurance coverage) to Dr. Fakhimi who permanently disfigured my teeth and bite. He does have a soft touch the anesthesia was painless, and grinding my teeth down didn't hurt. If you go to him just don't say your bite feels off because there is no way to fix teeth with no anatomy. Compare the back 3 teeth on the left to the ones on the right. It may not look like a big difference but it will determine if you eat steak again or not.

Took me over a year to write this review because I have such trauma from it. First off, I'm in my…read more30s with a missing tooth due to an infection that Dr Hejazi missed for 3 years, from a root canal I got there. Even though I'd complain of pain, & my gum receded to a "10!", it took multiple professionals here to miss the infection. Hejazi told me I must be stressed from school & needed a bite guard, which didn't even fit when it came. Thank you to Andrea who finally cared to listen and consulted a periodontist (who saw the infection without any equipment and recommended an immediate extraction.) Then the recovery process to get an implant, which took 9 months, ended up being infected because I wasn't properly instructed & didn't have antibiotics. The written discharge said Tylenol & IB. My sinus was perforated and infected as well. The pain was unbelievable & went for weeks before an xray showed the crazy amount of pus clouding my head. Dr Hejazi also offers free crown replacement as long as you keep up with your cleanings, he replaced each crown he did for me cuz they kept breaking. Also charged over 1k for each crown when my insurance told me it should have been $425, so shame on me. Call your insurance and confirm before agreeing to treatment, they also tend to use high pressure sales when agreeing to the financial aspects so you feel trapped. Definitely consult your insurance! Better yet, just don't go here. Dr Hejazi has great social skills but dentistry skills not so much. Please don't put your trust or health in this place, I made that mistake for you.
