Nicest people to talk to, the office (inside) is very fancy, it will make sense when you get your bill, the parking lot needs some help. The support staff is nice and seem to care. I had crowns done on the left side of my mouth (back 3 teeth) they took impressions and put them in my mouth without issue. The problem is that Dr. Fakhimi then removed all the anatomy from the newly delivered teeth leaving me with flat, horizontal pegs for teeth. Perhaps it's my fault for telling him my bite felt off, I don't know. It took forever to chew anything and I couldn't figure out why, I then noticed my teeth were flat. I called the office to see if they could use the impression to redo the teeth but they get rid of impressions once the teeth are delivered. I asked if they could use the teeth on the other side as a guide to give anatomy to the other side but apparently that is not a thing. In summary I paid about $5000 (thats with insurance coverage) to Dr. Fakhimi who permanently disfigured my teeth and bite. He does have a soft touch the anesthesia was painless, and grinding my teeth down didn't hurt. If you go to him just don't say your bite feels off because there is no way to fix teeth with no anatomy. Compare the back 3 teeth on the left to the ones on the right. It may not look like a big difference but it will determine if you eat steak again or not. read more

Very nice facility and nice staff at first. Went there because they promoted a special for 4k invisiline. Plus, if I booked in the first week, then they would credit 2k. See picture attached. When all said and done, they show me the bill for 6k, then they mark down 2k. So the balance is 4k. I tell them that not what their ad says. They should have said something like 6k current costs and 2k off equals 4k total. I told them this is false advertising and it should not be allowed. Then the lady comes back and says we will honor the price shown in the ad, but I'm like it's the same thing. If you're honoring the price then it should be 4k total price minus 2k credit so the balance is 2k remaining. Ooooo we can't do that! But that what you are promoting online. I sent a follow up email and I got a call today with a lady who claims not to know who I am. Did I inquire about invisiline, like if it was my first time calling. Listen, I don't like ruining people's business because it's about making money and living in a good life. But when you are online promoting falsely and wasting peoples time, that is when I will take the time to write a negative review about your business and warn others that your predatory practices should be highlighted amongst the community. The objective is to sell the deep cleaning for $1627.00 and still charge the $99 Dlls anyway. It is very misleading plus my upper gums got swollen after his exam and 4 days later I still feel uncomfortable to the point I need a Dr to check it. They told me they could offer a 5% discount if I do the deep cleaning as a gesture from the owner for not doing the normal cleaning. Everything and everyone in this place are very welcoming! They offer a $99 special for exams, and they really guided me through everything. I am terrified of the dentist( haven't been in a while), and everyone was so kind. Emily and Alex are the receptionist and are wonderful, so kind and accommodating! These people are grossly incompetent. They completely FAILED to put in a temporary crown that would last more than five hours. They had a hygienist performance work that she wasn't licensed to perform. A dentist stopped by at the end of the visit and said hello. He did NOT check the work, he did NOT look at the crown the hygienist placed. The after hours emergency line doesn't exist. They leave a number on their office voicemail that goes nowhere. I went in specifically to take out 3 wisdom teeth so my review is about that aspect of this practice. The office is well-furnished and has a good overall vibe, and the workers are very personable. Knowing that I was only really coming for my wisdom teeth, I felt fine turning down immediate recommendations but they are sale oriented in this office it would seem. The medication and surgery worked very well, this is my first time using arnica and it seems to do its job. The conscious sedation was also new to me and worked perfectly, I was asleep for about 3 and a half hours and apparently the surgery took 1 and a half which seems pretty quick and efficient. I have had no major pain or complications and it's day 3, I can say they seem to have been careful and closed the sockets nicely. I'll be getting sutures removed in a week and a half so I might update this review then. Altogether, a very smooth process yet one I look forward to never having to repeat again. I was referred here by some amazing friends that have been going here for over 10 years. I was having some pain in my mouth and they were able to accommodate me with an appointment. They do have text reminders for appointments which is great, especially if you work in a phone environment like I do. There are parking spaces out front so that you don't have to park on the street. As you can tell by the pictures, the office is top notch. It is immaculately clean and decorated well. They even have a high tech bidet in the bathroom. So expect to be impressed! I had a periodontal cleaning and before the procedure, I told her that I get motion sickness and sometimes the vibrations from the tools can cause me to become nauseas. She reassured me that she would take great care of me, that I wouldn't become nauseas. Danna was friendly, and I highly respected that she was transparent about the condition of my teeth. She told me about to take better care of them, and I even purchased a tooth brush from the dentist office. A month later, I returned and my teeth are doing much better. He was very polite and walked me through the condition of my teeth and what I can do to improve their health. What a glamorous dental office! I've passed by Soft Touch Dental throughout the years since it's nearby but I only went in for a visit this past week! I actually first heard about Soft Touch Dental a few months ago from social media! I saw a photo pop up on my feed for this practice and when I checked out their account, I saw that some social media influencers go here like Ariel Tejada (Kylie Jenner's makeup artist) and Lilly Ghalichi (aka Lilly Lashes) who is my idol! I was surprised that they were local and really close to me! Since I just switched dental insurance providers recently, I thought it would be the perfect excuse to check them out! Scheduling an appointment was a breeze, their staff is really nice and friendly. I spoke with both Hali and Sheryl on the phone and they were both awesome! For some reason their website wouldn't let me submit the new patient paperwork and I was dreading filling it out in person, but Sheryl was fantastic and filled it out for me! They are taking extra precautions for COVID which is great! You have to call them when you arrive and wait in your car until they give you the ok come in. While I was working with Sheryl filling out my paperwork, another patient came in and she was politely asked if she could wait in her car so we could social distance which was reassuring. They asked me to wash my hands and also gargle an anti-bacterial wash before they allowed me into the exam room. They also installed doors to each exam room as an added precaution. I felt safe the entire time! Also, did I mention? The dental office is so fancy and GLAM! I wouldn't expect a dental office to look this nice but it is GORGEOUS! I want them to decorate my place lol Even their bathroom has a fancy toilet that's automatic with a heated seat haha Dana was the one who took my dental x-rays and did my cleaning and she was the sweetest girl ever! She made sure to inform me of what she was doing along the way, which I appreciated! I met Dr. Fakhimi briefly and he was a nice guy! I just saw Dr Fakhimi on KUSI news and want everyone considering going to Soft Touch Dental because it's open during the pandemic to think twice. I had a terrible experience where Dr Fakhimi advised me to do serious dental procedure (which cost $6k) and did not provide me with alternative options. When I provided my x-rays to another dentist they said it didn't look like I needed any work at all. My insurance company performed an investigation and found his office charged me for medication that I never received and when they requested he refund me he refused. I have nothing good to say about Soft Touch Dental - if you decide to go there please be skeptical for your own sake. read more

I never really liked going to the dentist until I found this one. I mean I REALLY like this place. You walk in... Stunning Lobby. It's not just a Waiting Area with some seats and old People's magazines scattered on a table. It's elegant, it's gentle, it's warm. It feels as if you're the guest of honor in Oprah's home for Sunday dinner. Usually any office will ask you to arrive 15 minutes early for your appointments. I show up 30 minutes early because of how nice this lobby makes me feel when I sit in it. The Reception Counter You're greeted with a smile, if not, many smiles. A soft subtle voice emerges "Hello, welcome to Soft Touch Dental, I'm Sherryl. How can we help you today?" If my entire dentist experience was like a dining experience, I'd leave a tip bigger than my bill because of Sherryl. You're immediately made comfortable. I'm talking First Class beverage refreshments are available level comfort. (Not an exaggeration. Beverage refreshments were actually available.) The Staff I can write all day praising each member individually, I'm not. Instead I'll tell you again that I am made comfortable here. You are made comfortable from the very first visit. It doesn't feel like a bunch of strangers with their hands in your mouth fiddling around. Every step of the process is explained to you as it happens (If you're not put under.) If you have any questions they are answered. If you are at any point uncomfortable a simple raising of the hand stops the process. I've been going to this office for a while now and I've never come close to having to raise my hand. Sometimes I fall asleep in the chair during cleanings. (The chairs are soft. They feel new. They probably are new) I fall asleep sometimes during cleanings. I wrote that twice intentionally to emphasize how gentle and surgically precise the staff is with their tools. Long Story Short I can write novels about how much I like this place. I look forward to each of my appointments. I feel satisfied and refreshed with the work and I leave with a smile brighter than a thousand suns. This place gives a feeling of COMFORT far beyond what I'd expect at a dentist office. P.S. I feel bad even writing this because his staff was very kind, but I just think people should know and be aware of dental practices like this. Always get a second opinion. I just moved back to San Diego from LA and while I was living in LA I visited the dentist every 6 months. When I moved to San Diego I went into Soft Touch because it's down the street from my house. After examining me Dr. Fakhimi told me that I needed serious dental work. My gut was telling me this wasn't right, my previous dentist never told me this, and I wasn't having any serious issues with my teeth. One of his staff members came in after my exam and told me I needed nearly $6,000 worth of dental work and tried to convince me to take out a loan to pay for it all. There were no options, discussion, or explanation, just them trying to convince me how I could pay for it. I believe her words were "without insurance it would have been $10,000, but with your insurance, it will only be $6,000!" as if I was getting some kind of bargain. I eventually went to a different dentist, actually my childhood dentist and a family friend, who laughed out loud when I told him my experience. He said there is no possible way I needed that much dental work and that Dr. Fakhimi's attempt to oversell and overtreat is completely unethical. He was in such disbelief that he called in his partner and said "take a look at her teeth" and the other dentist examined me for a bit and then my dentist said "now tell him what you just told me" and I retold both of them my experience at Soft Touch and they both had a good laugh agreeing that Dr. Fakhimi was exhibiting completely ridiculous and predatory behavior. read more

This was my first visit post COVID and I was very impressed with the lengths they have gone to make their office safe and compliant. When I arrived I called to let them know I was there. They had me wait in my car for a few minutes until they had a space for me. When I walked in the office I was immediately sent to the restroom to wash my hands and gargle with an antiseptic. My temperature was taken and I was asked several health questions prior to being taken to an exam room There are barriers all Around the reception area as well as doors on all the exam rooms. All the staff had masks on at all times as well. All of their updates really put me at ease. So if you have had any reservations about going into the office for an appointment please don't! I first came to Soft Touch Dental after being referred here by his wife who runs another dental office. At first my experience went very well , I had my wisdom teeth removed, everything went smooth. Dr. Ali did my surgery very well and I had no complications with my recovery. After my surgery I inquired about Invisalign & continued working with Dr. Ali to complete my necessary dental work. I decided to use another orthodontist to have my Invisalign & continued to work with Dr. Ali to have my dental work done in preparation for the braces. After completing all the "necessary" work which was over $2200, I was informed I have to spend another large sum of money to finish my dental work in order for Dr. Ali to approve my Invisalign treatment. I was so shocked when told that I have to have more work done. I requested that the Dr. take another look and make sure the recommended work was necessary in order for me to start my Invisalign treatment... and this is where things went sour. The day I came in to have a second look I immediately felt very unwelcomed. While Dr. Ali was looking at my previous fillings he stated " Did you have this work done here in the U.S.?" I was so confused by this statement because I have NEVER mentioned getting any dental work done outside of the U.S. I assumed since I am hispanic he was guessing I got my fillings done in Mexico. I was so upset about this comment that was made because I was pretty sure it was his WIFE who did these fillings. I had them done less than 2 years ago and he said they had to be re done because they were done so poorly. I left the office and requested an invoice of everything I had done here and at his wifes office. He told me he was going to find out if it was in fact his wife that did the fillings then give me a call back. I NEVER got a call back. After going through invoices I found out it was his wife who did my original fillings. I then called the office again to speak with Sheryl who was very friendly at first but then quickly changed her attitude with me. I called her in hopes of trying to understand what exactly i was being charged for and to ask her why my claims have not been filed with my insurance. I found out that Sheryl never filed my claims with my insurance and was getting upset with me when i was trying to understand my bill. After going back with Sheryl and my insurance company the "claims" started to roll in. I am not sure why she did this or could not explain to me why she did not file the claims in the first place. This was an "in-network" dentist office and when i called my insurance rep and gave them a copy of my invoice / codes of the work that was done they even stated that i was not charged correctly this is why i kept calling Sheryl for clarification but was immediately treated with a rude tone. I decided to go to another dentist and requested my X-rays and Sheryl took well over a week to get me the xrays. Every time I would call another rep would answer and say she is busy and will call me back but I would never receive a call back. I felt like i was being ignored on purpose. I visited San Diego last month! And while I was there my buddy Antonio Ayres took me to soft touch. Since we live at the Gaslamp Quarter, soft touch was a little far from there. It wasn't much of a hassle however, as there was plenty of parking available. These guys are top notch. Super efficient! Everything is always explained well and the insurance coordinator goes above and beyond for you. The last dental office I had gone to a few years ago would constantly mess up on the billing it was beyond frustrating. They set me up a payment plan that made it affordable. Stay away from this place! I started going to this practice to have some fillings done. Dr Ali then told me that I need a bridge and a bunch of their work done resulting in about 12,000. When he ordered the bridge, it was a completely different shade of white that I had picked out. Of course it was too late now since it had been already placed in. Within a few days I went back and told him that I felt very uncomfortable. I explained to him that it felt lose and I could feel cold liquids going underneath the piece. After waiting over 45 min for my appointment that I had arrived for 10 min early, he checked the bridge and told me it was fine and that I had to get used to it. Within two weeks I started having pain in that area where I couldn't chew on my right side anymore! I contacted him a second time and got the exact same treatment. The pain kept getting worse and worse where I was left with unbearable pain. I could not do anything without taking pain medication every 4-6 hrs and having to apply anti toothache gel on the are. My cheek started to slowly but surely to swell up. I contacted him a third time and this time he admitted to recognizing that my entire right side of my face was swollen. He cleaned the area and sent me back home Guess where I ended up a few days later? THE HOSPITAL!! I was diagnosed with sepsis and had to be out on an IV and was kept at the hospital for days to make sure that the infection hadn't spread further! When Dr Ali found out through his assistant what had happened since his office was closed on the day I was admitted to the hospital and he never provided an emergency contact number, he yelled at me with no sense of sympathy of the mistake he had made due to his lack of knowledge in dentistry. I requested a refund for the bridge and he still decided to charge me over 4,500 for it. I stopped going to him and have not looked back since. I can't wait till his lack of knowledge is recognized by the board and his privilege of being a dentist gets revoked! Worst experience of my life! read more

I'll always go see Dr. F at his practice. Reggie has definitely done an amazing job. I'm 3 years with veneers and very happy with everything! Dr. F. and his beautiful wife Dr. F who's so beautiful and one of the best in the world. They've since opened an office in Hillcrest. I haven't checked it out yet but I'm sure it's the best as well. Called Dentique. They have skin care, lip injections, Botox, facials and dental. Who can ask for more? Thanks for my most beautiful smile. Customized to satisfy. I wanted some off the wall stuff. I'm one of those people. My teeth were pretty good. I just wanted something else and knowing the decline of my teeth with wear and tear, grinding and age... it had been on my mind to have cosmetic dental work done. I have to replace all the rest of my crowns yet. In time. Only with Dr. F or Dr. F/Mrs. they're just an amazing couple. Together they've created the smartest dental business in San Diego. Dr Ali Fahkimi and his staff are open communicators who care about their patients. Sheryl is very proactive in researching and applying for maximum benefits of my insurance plans over the years. Hali is excellent at sending out reminders for appointments. Reggie, Edna, and Kia are very friendly and competent professionals. I have needed certain specialists and diagnostic equipment over the years which Dr. Ali did not hesitate to use. The office seems to have state-of-the-art equipment and recently underwent a significant remodeling. Dr. Fakhimi is nothing short of incredible when it comes to thoroughly observing and correcting and perfecting a smile.
