ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! Drove 7 hours round trip to take my mom for dentures, not only did she tell them who her insurance was prior to, but also when we got in there told them again who her insurance was and they still said nothing. Only till after her xrays and consultation did they say they don't take it. Knowing prior to that they didn't take it all at all. Then when I call corporate, they say that their employees should have let it be known upfront that they don't take the patients insurance, and that they're sorry that this happened. Then when the office lady called back about getting an email of us wanting a copy of her chart, we tell her no we called to make a complaint and she was like oh would you like the number? We said no we already made it and she happily said oh okay, thank you, have a good day!! So now not only is your professionalism shit, but your customer service is too. Tooth extraction says 100 dollars, maybe a little more I can't be exact but when I called I was told $350.00 and 4 or 5 hundred for bone graph? WOW. Not affordable at all. STOP, STOP STOP, do not go here, 6 months into my implants, one came loose went to see Dr Tad and he yanked off both the Crowns and reglued them, Charged me $300 more, and one wiggled, he said dont worry about it, My personal dentist told me if i don't get it fixed, it would come out, Found a local implant dentist who found out the post wasn't secured down perfectly and the crown had nasty sharp ridges causing my gums to be inflamed, had this all fixed for another out of pocket $640. I was really excited, and couldn't wait to see myself with my new smile. I finally saved up enough money to get my dental work done. My dream was to get implants, but my budget would only afford dentures. My experience was horrific. Being visually impaired only made it worse. They took advantage of me, overcharged me, sold me their cheapest denture for the highest price, then when I went in to discuss the situation the dentist snatched my new denture out of my hand, stated I would only be refunded 1600. of the 3918. I paid them. Screamed at me to get out of his office, never return, nor receive any services from him, then they locked the doors, closing early, and left me toothless in front of their store. Dr. Mohammed and his team, Elizabeth and Lisa, are criminals. I don't recommend them to anybody. First off all I got top dentures about a year ago. They never really fit well. Well now I called for a tooth extraction and they said come on in. After being referred to this place by a dentist to have a possibly infected implant checked out, I went in and Dr. Tesfamichael looked at it and said he had no advice for me. I asked him whether he knew someone who might be able to help, and he referred me to University of the Pacific dentistry school. The folks at the school told me that they needed a written referral from Dr. Tesfamichael, a pretty simple thing. So I called and asked them if they could write me one. They said they could, and that I would just need to stop by the next day to pick it up. The next morning, I get a call, now the lady on the phone tells me they can't write me a written referral and gives me no reason. She then proceeds to _lie_, and tells me that Dr. Tesfamichael told me to go to a general dentist (hello? I was just referred from a general dentist to you!). She acts incredibly rudely when I point this out, and instead of listening just starts talking over me, saying, "Helloooooooo?" and then hangs up the phone. Worst. Orthodontist. Ever. Clueless as well. Don't waste you hard-earned $ at this place. read more

Tooth Extraction, Implants and Dentures, my story. I've been hesitant to have this procedure done for some time. It's a difficult choice cost yes but deciding to go through these multiple extractions, pain versus relief of ongoing dental issues. I was referred to Affordable Dentures & Implants (ADI) by a very dear friend who had this done and was pleased with the final outcome. This journey started over two years ago when I made the decision to move forward. The first appointment was first week after the 2017 Tubbs fire. I had to cancel due to cardiac arrest due to the stress and smoke inhalation. ADI (Martha) was extremely understanding and supportive and maintained this support for the two years after while I went through numerous health issues. Last April 2019 I was feeling well enough with have no health problems for over 6 months. Martha called to check on me and I said let's do this. The extractions were not easy for me or Doctor Tad. It was estimated for two hours but he kept with it for over 6 hours checking with me often to see if I was up to continuing. That was rough after 4 hours, but I wanted it done. I was fitted with temporary dentures which became my dentures for the duration coming back after a few weeks to have them soft-lined, what a difference that made. I struggled for the next 6 months with Seabond a temporary type of adhesive because I couldn't use other types due to implants and the others would or could damage those implants. 6 months was what I had in my mind for completion unfortunately it took 8 months for me due to the Kincaide Fire. All during this journey of a thousand teeth I called it, ADI staff and Doctor Tad were supportive and helpful. When I had questions or wanted to be seen there was no hesitation by ADI to answer or see me asap. I've developed a confidence in Doctor Tad and reliance on Martha and a new appreciation for dental professionals. Conclusion of this for me was better over all health, I've not had any medical issues again... well so far. Oh and of course a million-dollar smile that I've never had. Advice: take time and be patient even when it seemed impossible you have to remember and tell yourself "This too shall pass". Good Luck and God Speed. read more

After reading the yelp reviews I was hesitant to bring my 91 year old grandfather here, but I decided to give them a try anyway and I'm so glad I did. Martha, Michelle, and Mary were amazing, incredibly friendly, and helpful. Dr. T was pleasant and caring as well. The initial exam and x-ray were complimentary and the treatment plan he was given for completely new dentures was six thousand dollars less than a previous dentist we had visited. They worked with my busy schedule to make appointments that accommodated my busy life. They also took into consideration my grandpas age and the difficulty he has getting around day to day. They made it possible for him to get same day dentures, they look beautiful and fit even better. It turns out my grandpa needed an upgrade on his dentures for the best quality fit, and they did it at no additional cost. I found the staff to be friendly and amicable. They are also good at working with your schedule. I'm traveling a lot with work and busy with family and so a lot of the steps can be done at your own pace. They also send appt text reminders. I have purposely waited approximately 12 months from the time that I started this 'journey' to write this review because I wanted to be able to share my total personal experience with the complete "SnapSecure" denture process and the personnel involved. This 'extra' time allows me to be objective and thorough with my shared opinions about getting the implants (3ea) along with a lower denture . Believe me, I understand completely the anxiety created for treatments such as this. Heck, I've swam with sharks and parachuted from airplanes, but this procedure was scaring me. I even postponed my initial treatment date because I was so nervous. For those of you that may be slightly impatient, cutting to the chase, I should've done this years ago. Delaying it that initial time was my biggest error. Candidly, I 'love' my new lowers. The appearance is outstanding...they match my top natural teeth perfectly. My family is amazed. The feel is very comfortable. They're like natural teeth and the 'bite' is perfect too. Although removable, the fit is secure and I never have to worry about any type of movement while eating or speaking. How great is that? Yes, I can eat everything that I desire e.g. steaks, raw vegetables and fruits (yep, raw carrots and apples), crunchy "Cornuts" (shhhh...don't tell Dr. Tad...I love those things). I have not been able to eat raw veges, or bite into an apple for years without some sort of discomfort, regardless of what those denture securing products say in their ads...I can now! It's a joy that I didn't realize I was missing until I could eat them again. In fact, I haven't found anything that I can't eat comfortably and enjoy. Simply, 'crunchy' is my new favorite sound ;-) Maintaining the denture and your implants is easy...just keep everything clean. Everyone throughout the process was empathetic, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They were really supportive and answered all my many questions. The implant procedure was painless...I didn't even feel the initial numbing injection. Yes, the sounds of the actual procedure can be concerning (c'mon, they're drilling into my jawbone), but, don't worry, you are in great hands. Throughout the healing process, I didn't experience any discomfort. I just followed Dr. Tad's advice. In closing, I recommend Dr. Tad and his associates very highly for this implant procedure. Late last week I went in to have my dentures checked and a few rough spots fixed. I had encountered Dr. Tesfamichael's attitude before but this time it was entirely unacceptable. He was rude and very condescending. I made the mistake of not looking at Yelp before I made my initial appointment and I am so sorry that I didn't. I never would have gone to this man if I had. This man is so full of himself it isn't funny. I have gotten a couple of texts asking if I would recommend this place to anyone I know and my answer is a resounding NO. After he grudgingly fixed my plates, he rushed me out of the office because he had another patient waiting. Even though I had to wait almost 15 minutes for my turn in the hot seat. He has absolutely no bedside manners at all. He is the worst, rudest and condescending person I have ever met. So, in the long run I would not recommend this man at all and in my opinion he doesn't belong in practice. The only bright spot in the visits has been the staff. UPDATE: I ordered an upper partial denture, the top-of-the-line Ultimate Denture. The fantastic lab tech that did such a great job on my lower partial was no longer working there. This time things were challenging and it took 3 try-ins to get a natural look. At the pick-up, the clasps were too tight around the abutment teeth, and the dentist couldn't get the partial in. After many adjustments (not unusual), the dentist was able to get them in, but by then, the inner plate had large gaps where food would get lodged, and the clasps were still too tight to get the partial on and off without tremendous difficulty. The dentist said he did his best but didn't feel he could help me, and refunded my money. The dentist's approach confused me because mechanically speaking, if the clasps are too tight to slide over the abutment teeth, it's the clasps that need to be loosened, not the plate. If he had loosened the clasps first (so the denture could be put in and taken out more easily), and then adjusted the plate if needed, this denture might have worked. I repeatedly said the clasps were too tight, he could see the very great difficulty I had getting the clasps to pass over the abutment teeth, and yet he kept saying it was important not to make them too loose. I don't think my communications were responded to in a way that could lead to a successful outcome. In this instance, my two former upper partials fit better than this attempt, so I had the opposite experience from my first review. Partial dentures are notoriously hard to fit, harder to fit than full dentures. It's like a 3D jigsaw puzzle requiring 32 teeth to fit and bite perfectly in the mouth. So I appreciate the difficulty. I'm sure the dentist tried his best but I must move on now. read more

I had previously removed this post . I decided to go back and let them try and make it right ! My temporary dentures were great , all but the color . They looked tobacco stained . But it was for a couple months . I could manage . And they actually seemed to care , until I returned for my permanent dentures . The dentist is a horrible egotistical little man . Who refused to listen to what I wanted done . When I returned to pick up my dentures they were DIFFERENT then what I agreed upon . One front tooth sits behind the other with a very distinct ridge ! When I complained , he took his gloves off and said " I am done and could leave now ! HORRIBLE Horrible person . I am not happy with the work they have done . The lab tech definitely needs to go back to school because it surely was not the same person who did my temps ! So sorry Pam & Martha , you ladies are fabulous. I don't know how you could remain employed with such a tyrant! So here I am reinstating my old review . I was limited on time and places to go for my dental work ! But please do not go here ! You do not want me to do a review . I will be contacting you to get a refund on the dentures I never got because they were so horrible . He didn't even fit them before he pulled my teeth . He completely ruined my smile and I deal with the public everyday. I left in tears because I have never been to a dentist that is so uncaring and does everything you ask him not to do because he thinks he is right. I'm devastated by the service I received from you. I don't want to comeback His temp dentures were awful . I don't know how you can get away with providing such horrible service . The dentist kicked me out of his chair I was supposed to have a lot of work done I went into the next appointment I told him I didn't want to do it too expensive and I couldn't afford it he wanted to pull al l my teeth and give me a lower denture when I changed my mind and ask him for a partial instead and if that would work okay he told me to go somewhere else I was I was two negatives he told me to find another doctor I couldn't believe it all this place wants to do is pull your teeth out I would not recommend this place to anyone. My husband had a great experience wth upper denture and lower partial. So I wanted to go back for myself. They were able to fit me in during their busy day. The receptionist, hygienist and dentist were all over the top friendly. This is my final review as I am taking my case to small claims. I have never in my life been treated like I'm worthless & the dentist talks over you & obviously could careless about my health or discomfort. I'm unable to wear the permanent dentures I paid $4,750 for. I'm not able to dine out with friends as the dentures have to be glued in every 2-3 hours or they fall out & they cause sores on my gums. When I returned to their office for an adjustment (re-lining) they were more concerned about my review on Yelp than helping me. I am shocked that this man is allowed to stay in business. I have pictures of the bruises from my eyes down to my neck. You can even see his hand print on my face where he grabbed my face & was visibly angry with me. I never want another human being to be treated this poorly & suffer unnecessary bruising, pain & suffering as I have. I want my day in court (I'm not the 1st patient to sue) so that the Judge can see my pictures & read the letter from my heart doctor. I had the most horrible experience with this dental office. I received a top partial denture and when I got home I could not take the partial out. I was just about to go to the emergency room when the partial broke in my mouth. Tesfamichael asked me to mail the partial back (which I did) and he refused to credit my card back. When I called he screamed and yelled at me telling me he would fix it why don't I drive the four hours back and get it fixed. (I live in a rural community so I drove four hours one way to get to the office) Why would I spend another day to have treatment done by someone who is so unprofessional he screams, rants and raves when asked a question? I have never seen a medical professional act this way and treat a person with such disrespect so unprofessional. Tesfamichael expects me to pay for something I don't even have.
