As a patient for many years with this office for routine teeth cleaning religiously two times per year with my hygienist Heather, I was scheduled in advanced for 8 months and received text messages confirming my appointment on three occasions which I DID CONFIRM with them, then on the day of my appointment was dismissed by Dr. Anderson, because he assumed that I would not consent to x-rays or an exam. I want to state that I am a physician of 41 years and I know my body! I had mentioned on my previous visit that I would consent to an exam and x-rays would be only an option to me only if I had a condition regarding my teeth and cranium if I had an issue. I take a minimum of 3-5 sets of x-rays every day in my clinic in Santa rosa and have always stated to my hygienist when I have had TOO MUCH scatter radiation. Let me explain to those of you who are laymen... THERE id NO SAFE LRVEL of RADIATION as it is cumulative...!!! I had always told them that if I had an issue with regards to my teeth or cranium, then I would be the FIRST to tell them to take some films to accurately diagnose a condition! I want to repaet, I am a physician and know my body' I can only feel that this office with there unethical tactics are only mercenary NOW and do not have the patient's interest at heart. \ after this experience I feel violated and feel that they practice unethically and are only concerned about the dollar. Not only was I bummed about the cost but I knew my two front teeth would never look the same. I called FG Dentistry they were able to get me in for a consult the very next morning. Are they friendly and professional? Yes. Do they do a good job in cleanings and fillings? Sure. We just can't get over the fact that they a bit pushy when it come do having work done, and then they struggle to get the numbers right with your insurance. I know it is not easy, but come on, that is your job, kind of, you know. So we end up being pressured to have done a little extra, so they can charge a little extra at the end as well. I just had dinner with my friends tonight and told them about what a fantastic and amazing appointment I had with the sinus lift and implant placement I had yesterday. I had just expressed how I wanted to text the gentle assistants Jackie and Gina and of course Dr. Erlach to say what a wondrous and easy appt it was. Yes, I was anxious because I am not familiar with the little details of the surgery and really did not know how it was going to go. I really wanted to tell them that they guided me through the procedure, warning me of " you'll hear scratching" and "this is a saline wash" so I knew what to expect and could anticipate. Afterwards I went shopping then headed home. I have not felt a bit of pain! I was a tiny bit sensitive upon brushing around the tissue adjacent to the implant because I forgot it was there. My sinus has not been an issue, at all. Do I really have to avoid work outs and avoid bending over? I feel normal and even better since the Decadron is helping with my hip pain. I was interested is getting my dental work done here, I've tried contacting them several times after hearing great things from a friend and never once received any response in each of the times I've contacted them over a 6 month period. There's a huge difference with being busy and just plain snobbery. My last time I reached out was over a week ago with ZERO responses. I've e-mailed, and called and even messaged this dentistry online and no response. If the Dentist has a full clientele let me know instead of leaving my hanging... Normally, I am not one to write reviews, but I was so incredibly pleased with the service at Fountaingrove Dentistry, I couldn't hold back! As a new patient, I had a wonderful experience here. I was so scared to go back to dentist because it has been so long and I didn't have an insurance card, but Jessie, the practice coordinator, made everything so much easier for me. She contacted my insurance company and asked for my information before setting up my first appointment. I filled out a questionnaire before my first appointment, so they were very prepared and knew I would probably need work because I hadn't been to the dentist in so long. Dr. Erlach did an amazing job helping me plan out my next steps to have healthy, white and clean teeth and healthy pink gums. My hygienist also did a great job giving me tips for proper flossing and brushing techniques that have helped me greatly improve my oral health! The front desk staff were also friendly and abiding by all safety protocols, wearing masks, checking temperatures, and asking patients to sanitize their hands. This office really can demystify the old saying " as much fun as going to the dentist". While it's not exactly the most fun experience, the staff do make your visit pleasant and comfortable. I just got back home from my dental appointment at Fountaingrove Dentistry. I had a 6 month cleaning with Heather, the hygienist, xrays, and a full exam from Dr. Anderson. I am 70 years old and in the "vulnerable group" for COVID, so my husband & myself have been staying at home and isolated. Fountaingrove Dentistry has rigorously followed the CDC safety guidelines for COVID and I felt very safe and well protected throughout my dental visit. Is there another time that might work better....??? If you miss two... and they charge you for it... They dump you. Even if you have been going there for years.
