Great Example of How NOT to do Business: Disgusting. Wish…read morethere was a zero star rating. In May we had to change from Apollo to another provider due to my mother entering hospice. (The hospice contract was with a different provider.) Six months after Apollo picked up their equipment in May, they sent a statement to my (deceased) mother saying that we still had one of their regulators and they either want it back or want $450 for it. They also made up a Service Date of October 24, 2014 on the statement (my mother passes away in August). I called them and told them I don't have it, that maybe the other company accidentally picked it up and that I will check with them. I also wondered why they waited six months to inform us that they were missing an item even though everything was signed off on in May. I never received a response to that question, and in fact they told someone else that they had been sending me letters for six months (which is simply not true). They did say that they were going to see if they can lower the $450 to just their cost to replace it. I thought that was nice... But then they called back to say that they could lower it to $300, but only if I paid it TODAY. Typical kind of sleazy low-life hard-sell tactics that you expect from a used car salesman, but NOT what you expect from a company dealing with you after your Mother has died. It actually felt like extortion to me. I asked for another 24 hours to try to locate the missing regulator, but they said NO, and that I could keep looking for it if I wanted to, but unless I paid $300 that day, that the price would go back up to $450. Since I didn't accept their offer, they got angry, and out of spite they said that they were going to charge me for six to seven months rental of the regulator at $125/month since I wouldn't pay the $300 that day. Way to alienate customers, Apollo!! I called another medical equipment and oxygen rental supplier (one that is very well-known in this area, and is generally used for all hospice patients in this area) and was told by them that 1) the particular type of regulator that they are charging replacement cost for only costs about $80 to $100, and 2) they only charge $30/month rent for that kind of regulator. So Apollo is trying to get me to pay 3 to 5 times the replacement cost of the regulator. Do not do business with this company!!!

When we tried to contact Apollo to discuss a billing issue, the owner immediately started began yelling at me over the phone and making personal attacks. She ended up hanging the phone up on me. I have never come across a person so irrational, unprofessional, accusatory and down right mean in my entire life. Their business practices are are shoddy. Their billings are consistantly incorrect. The owner admitted to me personally that she bills based on how she feels about the clients and not based on actual set prices. Please do your self a favor and avoid dealing with this company.

The care team is understaffed and under trained so much so I would classify it as negligent. The upper level management has turned over 3 times this year alone and currently there is no one who is truly in charge of running things. The price to stay here is extremely high and the service is worse than a convalescent hospital. I gave this only 1 star because I can't give anything less...but it ranks ZERO

They raised prices, the staff is not trained in caregiving, and they are nice but young. Currently, there is no director they have another from Sonoma filling in. The residents notice a difference. The fire alarms don't work there are notices to call 911 in case of fire. The carpets in the common areas are gross, the food is subpar, Melvin who was in charge of the dining room left a few months ago; he always made sure to welcome everyone, have fun banter, no more of that. Anna Bell, Allezmoy, they are gone too. I always felt secure knowing my mom was taken care of when they were employed there. It is actually depressing. They have no more piano player, exercise cancels frequently. The billing office is ridiculous; the invoices are different every month by a thousand dollars. I am moving my mom sadly. We used to love Cogir but the last 3 months or so it has gone downhill rapidly

BEWARE OF CLEARWATER: PREDATORY PRACTICES…read more Clearwater AL & memory care in Rhonert Park... Read before you pay a deposit. Clearwater at Sonoma Hills targets families in crisis and withholds critical information until it's too late. I have filed a formal complaint with the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD). Sales Director H***** Sch**** pressured us by saying they only had one room left, and "I needed to grab it", then quickly collected our $8,455 from me with a written promise the deposit was "100% refundable." The place was always empty, which should have been my first clue, despite reading about some other bad experiences I naivly gave over my our retirement money under duress. She never once mentioned a refund timeline or any conditions before, during, or at the time of payment, despite having SO many opportunities, which is misleading at best, if not downright unscrupulous and intentional omission AKA LYING! My mother has Alzheimer's. Ho***e had met her in person multiple times before taking our money. When a nurse conducted a formal assessment, it was immediately clear my mother needed memory care, not assisted living ...something any industry professional who had spent time with her should have known. We were steered into a placement that was never appropriate just so they could hold a large sum of cash and likely reinvest it and make money off our backs, all while we were in CRISIS. Only after I requested the refund did H****E reveal for the first time that processing takes "3-4 weeks, sometimes more" !!! WTF Every interaction following was dismissive and COLD. A follow-up went completely unanswered. I was forced to file a credit card dispute because I was accruing interest on $8,500 for TWO BILLING CYCLES while paying out of pocket for emergency in-home care. Clearwater's response? MY dispute will delay the refund even further! Blame shift much?! This is a pattern. Large deposits collected from desperate families. Material information deliberately withheld. Zero urgency when it's time to give the money back...sound familiar? If you are considering this facility, look up their inspection history at ccld.dss.ca.gov (license #496803860) and do not pay a deposit without getting every condition and timeline in writing first. Don't be duped like me and Kindrah, and Ellen, etc
