From intake to our final class, the staff made sure that the scheduling process was a breeze, and that visits did not fall short of expectations. They have an excellent staff dedicated to your child's development, and the office is pristine. Not just clean; very well kept. I noticed that there wasn't one tear on a book or broken toys. They put lots of effort into upkeep, knowing well that toys and books can take a beating with younger kids. East Bay Child Development Center has terrific speech therapists and therapists specialized in helping in all other types of child development, including but not limited to physical therapy, etc. We went through 2 different speech therapists and 1 or 2 therapy students which was a little harder for our son to grow accustomed to because it would take him awhile to warm up (which I've learned isn't unusual for any development therapy center), but each therapist tried their absolute best to ensure they were giving him the utmost care and attention.

That speech is not a good fit for him, that his sister runs around the hallways exploring toys and opened doors of offices, about me get a phone call so they discharged him from services. This is racism and discrimination by the way ladies I want to give you suggestions, your office needs a new administration, organisation and functionality. Everybody there seems to go everywhere, I don't know if these people work here are they clients. The back door to the outside was open, this is called dysfunctional. The office receptionist was like his first day to work, confused and looked around like a lost boy. There four people by office were speaking loud and chatting. They failed my son years ago when he was younger because they said he was not ready for speech when I just changed my insurance to get accepted to come here. Now he's 12 years old saying he's not a good fit. Shame on you to say that to me. You can't discharge him that's illegal. My son is trying with his speech and he has rights in California to receive speech therapy any age. Discrimination by the ability, then age, what's next because his sister running around the office and also I was on the phone? For that lady who spoke with me today over the phone couldn't wait on me. And making me feel like I was being fired from the job, she sounded rude and said my daughter was running around the room and I was speaking loud on the phone so the excuse to fail my son. Then changed her words saying he's not a good fit and he runs fast and wants to push the kids. She needs to find more excuses for her to dismiss him. You don't know how hard and challenging to be a mother of autistic kid. I finally thought I have him his speech going and then you locked me up like shutting my mouth. Go see if your speech therapist is the one who has the problem. She too lazy to give speech therapy or has a lack of skills. This is Shameless and discrimination.

The facility is nice and clean (no nursing home smell!) with activities and tasty meals. However it is the employees that make this place special. It is not just a job for them, they truly care about the patients. The PHYSICAL/OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY department is EXCEPTIONAL. Through humor, encouragement and skill they got me back on my feet and made me want to do my best. I couldn't ask for a better team in Eddie, Rachel, Nicole, Janelle, Matt, Jamie and Ken. The NURSES (CNAs, LVNs, RNs) are caring, attentive, personable, kind, respectful and dedicated. SARAH is AMAZING and exemplifies what a great nurse should be. She anticipates your needs and has them met before you can even ask. She is so SPECIAL. Right by her is Esther, Pedro, Wilma, and a team of other wonderful staff there to take care of your basic needs and comfort. Mariah Janna, and Amy are just a few of the skilled nurses who make sure you are informed about the medication you are receiving and quickly tend to any medical needs you may have. They are so KNOWLEDGEABLE and APPROACHABLE. As a diabetic with a heart condition, WOUND CARE can be challenging, except for someone like Nurse Renee. Not only did she tend to and heal a complicated surgical wound, she healed an old wound I was told, by several wound care professionals, would never heal completely. Renee is SKILLED and GIFTED. You are in good hands at Sonoma Post Acute.

They starve, neglect, and abuse patients. Their beds are infested with bedbugs. Their food is very bad, no one eats it. The health department should shut down this facility. My cousin almost died in their care, lost half his weight and spent one month in the ICU. Do not take or leave your loved ones in the Sonoma Post Acute, Sonoma. If you go to this place to visit, you will immediately notice the very loud music, that's on purpose so the staff don't have to hear the residents calling for help. This facility is a dump and a horror show.

The staff is also very easy to reach and a pleasure to work with, and they often check up on me if I haven't reached out in a while. It is easy to get extra help, when necessary, and the timesheet process could not be easier. With so many other aspects of my son's OT needs being laborious to traverse and taking up so much of my time with administration, I truly appreciate that this is literally the most hassle-free service with an incalculable benefit to me, my son, and the rest of the family.

I DO NOT recommend this place for anyone. The day shift were very nice to my father, but the night…read moreshift the staff didn't speak English and when my dad would hit the call light they would walk by and turn it off and keep walking. They did not give my father his medication as the doctor prescribed: it was either not enough or too much. One day I came to visit him and he had a huge bump and bruise on his head; bruises on his shoulder and his entire right side. I asked my dad what happen, he did not remember, when I asked the staff they stated that he fell out of his wheel chair. No one called us to let us know, it was very startling to come in and see your loved one look like he had been in a huge brawl and lost. He would have bruises on him all over the place. I understand that his skin was thin and may have bruised easily, but did they have to be so rough. I would watch his face when the turned him or moved him and his face showed that it hurt, they would just flip him like he was nothing. He was not nothing, he was my father. The nurses were very rude and would just walk away when you were talking to them, if you could get them to talk to you. Once my mother tried to talk to a nurse and she put her hand up and said "not now, I'm busy". My father when he first arrived did not like this place, every day he said that he had to get out of there. He would ask to participate in some of the activities but they would never come and get him (he was a double amputee). We asked them many times. After a while my dad gave up and asked us if he was just brought there to die. We tried to find other nursing homes for him to go to, my mother called every one of them, there were several that said they would take him they had the room all Sonoma health care needed to do was send them a referral. We would be so happy, then we would go visit dad and they would tell us that they were contacted by the other home and they made a mistake and they were sorry but they did not have the room for dad, my mom would just cry. I hated this! We couldn't even get him out. My mom would go home and call the place that said they had room for my dad and ask them what happen, each of the homes said exactly the same thing 'I'm sorry but he person that was being discharged suddenly got worse and could not leave". Funny all three of the facilities that said they had a room for dad said exactly the same thing, like they were reading from a script. He was there for 6 weeks, when he went in, he was laughing & joking around but within those 6 weeks, he gave up; he wouldn't even eat the last two weeks. My father passed away on 7/19/14; in the place he hated the most. The day shift seemed to treat my father well. But we were also there during the day. So I am not sure what happened when we were not there. Good Luck to whomever is reading this, I wish you the best. I do not recommend this place for your loved one.
