Delivered with a light on indicating the rear safety sensor was not working. Robert, the salesperson, assured us that this was an oversight and we could call the office to have it repaired. We thought it was a simple issue (yet optional) that would need repair. Made an appointment only to be told they cant repair and needs to go to "dealership". Never told this was a critical issue. Entire electrical system blew in 9 months due to faulty wire. Called Mobility works and told that this was not their problem and wouldn't cover repairs or even assist with cost. Also called us liars as they "didnt have a record" of our service appointment. We brought to a Dodge/Chrysler dealer who finds numerous and dangerous issues: broken in half sway bar, leaking water pump, engine needs to be completely replaced(15k dollars alone). Thousands of dollars in repairs needed for this WHEELCHAIR van that was an astronomical price given all the issues. This is my primary car as well. Mobility works claimed no recalls (lies) and no accidents (lie). The sway bar had the incorrect bolt which indicated it was an attempted repair. How can you prey on such a vulnerable population? My child has been through so much. We financially can't afford these repairs. Please, please, please DO NOT USE this company. They do not stand by their cars and have predatory sales people who are clearly not concerned with disabled people, families or their saftey.

I'm still researching chairs and I'm not eager to get one online with out seeing it first. However, I need a chair. I tried to give my money to the brick and mortar store but it was a total failure. When there are no more stores available, it will be because of situations like this. Obviously I can't rate how you'll be treated if you go there to shop. I called Lifeway Mobility and spoke with Tabitha. She was pleasant and knowledgeable, and told me the fee to remove the stairlift would be $215. We scheduled a date and time. The technician, Luis, called me when he was on his way, he arrived promptly, was very nice and friendly, and had the stairlift out of the house in 15 minutes. I paid him, he emailed a receipt, and was on his way. I could not have asked for a better experience, and highly recommend Lifeway Mobility.

Only ding is that the seat pad refuses to lie flat, irritating my wife. Just part of the pad design I guess. That could be better. Everything else is great. The initial sales interview, installation, service, customer service, and especially the tech/service reps...were all super. I'm usually a 4 star guy, but this company deserves 5 stars. I had one small issue, nothing really of importance. I called and spoke to the operations person. What was a small inconvenience to me was not small to him. He was amazing to deal with....candid...open...and honest. Problem fixed, and I left with a great feeling about the company. The service reps are not just super competent, they're ambassadors for the company. Every rep had nothing but praise for the company and for the company culture which is totally customer focused. Stannah has been in this business for 3 generations I think. They really have a grasp of the business. I did lots of research about stair lifts before contacting Stannah. I actually put together a booklet of all the players for my wife to review. Stannah was the first company we actually contacted. The sales rep was superb. No nonense, very knowledgeable, low key, zero pressure. It wasn't really a sales call, it was an information sharing call. We liked the approach so much we never contacted another company. About costs....do your homework....don't believe me necessarily. Stannah is not even close to some of the more heavily advertised companies...like Acorn. Stannah is an excellent value. If you're shopping based on price, maybe someone could beat Stannah (not by much), but if you're shopping based on value, I'd say Stannah is the best choice out there. Ok, I'm done. I do know that by the time you're looking for power chairs, there are health issues in the home, and that you don't need any additional issues. Based on my genuine, real, year long experience....just turn yourself over to the Stannah people. They will take good care of you.
