After being left high and dry by a competitor, Malloy was at my house the same afternoon as our phone call scoping out the job. They were at my house at 8:30am the next morning clearing out the competitor's tank and replacing with their tanks and filling them. This was with 2 feet of snow on the ground! They were very thorough and were a breath of fresh air after what I had been through with the other propane company. They have since kept my tank filled without my having to call them. And their prices are much better than what I had been paying. I'm so thankful I made the change. read more

With inflation being ridiculous what I really value is price transparency. TH Malloy always shows up, fills up, leaves me a slip and charge my card. So take my surprise when mid September, when you don't really use your heating, I get a charge for $193. I check my mailbox, no slip. I call, it's yearly maintain fee for your internal home stuff such as the tank and boiler. Apparently they charge you, and then expect you to call and set up an appointment. Basically a subscription fee that they're hoping you don't notice, which clearly we haven't for the last 4 years since the woman on the phone said "oh you've never taken advantage of this". Yah because it was always lumped into my oil fees before, I just happened to catch it this time. Clearly this is a fee they're hoping you don't notice, like we haven't. So yeah, we'll have them come this year but I guess we're SOL for the last 4. I just value honest companies no a days and this is a dishonest practice. No receipt, no reminder, no call to ask if we'd like to schedule. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I was just charged WITHOUT providing authorization; completely and utterly unethical company! Employees have NO professional courtesy or respect for people! Our boiler wasn't working on 1/2/23. T.H. Malloy had serviced our boiler 2 years prior, and after calling to see if they could help fix it the technician berated my wife accusing her of asking for special treatment because she had mentioned we have a 9-month old at home and no heat, and would greatly appreciate if someone could look at our system that day if possible. The employee then hung up on my wife. Shortly afterward the technician arrived, spent about 25 minutes looking at our boiler, replaced one part to where it was operational, and then left. I was then called by their office and was told the cost for this service was $435. Two days later our boiler was not working, and after calling back another employee was extremely rude and condescending towards me, implying that since we are not a customer there's nothing they would do for us to get this fixed...and that "at least our boiler worked for a day or two." I reiterated that it would be a huge help if they could come out to fix our boiler as we had no heat in our house and a 9-month old child at home, to which she replied "yeah you already used that excuse the other day and I'm not falling for it again." I was told the employee would notify the office the next day and someone would reach out. Without hearing back the next day I reached back out to this company, to which they responded they had left me a voicemail, except was not my number they "supposedly called." I asked what they could do to get this situation resolved as I spent ~ 5 hours going through our entire boiler system, replacing more parts, and finally getting our boiler operational. I insisted that the cavalier attitudes from their entire staff, the demeaning tone, and the lack of fixing our boiler but still billing us $435 for 25 minutes worth of work needed to be rectified. Now on 1/10/2023 an unauthorized charge of $435 was applied on my debit card without my consent, and have yet to hear from anyone at this company regarding the matter. T.H. Malloy & Sons staff are extremely unprofessional, unethical, and extremely difficult to get repairs done accurately and completely. This company claims to have repaired our boiler yet two days later was experiencing the same issue and did nothing to resolve this matter, leaving us to reach out to a number of other HVAC companies for diagnosis and to get heat back in our house for our 9-month old son. The lack of professional courtesy from this company is simply unacceptable. read more

I watched this company deliver almost $800 worth of oil to my mother this summer in the middle of a 6-day, 100 degree heat wave. Did she need it right then? Absolutely not. I firmly believe they delivered it because oil prices were going down and rather than do what's best for the long-time customer, they hurried up to soak every cent at the highest price. I am from CT and our "service contract" with our oil company offers a burner cleaning and emergency calls at no cost if the heat goes out. My parents' heat went out and they called. It cost them $600. I called to ask why if they have a service contract. Got a real snippy, defensive girl on phone who informed me the service contract was ONLY for the yearly burner cleaning. She was a real pill in need of some interpersonal relations classes. The company doesn't even appear on the list of competitive oil companies in area. I've been urging my mother to change asap. read more

I have been with them for 25+ years. Excellent service, never ran out of oil! No issues in all those years! When my oil tank began leaking they arrived within an hour, maybe less...stored my remaining oil and replaced my tank without stress. I will continue to be a loyal customer! read more

awful..once when we were on heating assistance, the woman answering the phone actually said she hates dealing with these vouchers...i told her she should just do her job regardless...she refused the delivery despite knowing i had children in the house. since the voucher was with this company, i could not make arrangements to give the voucher to any other company so we lost out on hundreds of dollars of heating assistance. it will be a great day when this company goes out of business read more

Horrible, sleazy, dishonest company. The guy Hank constantly shared my personal account information with other customers who I happened to know. I have had a guy I work with who also had account with this company tell me how much I owed on my account and various other private information that he was getting from Hank. The customer service ladies are rude. The guy who serviced my boiler did a horrible job and even broke things off my boiler and didn't tell me. Just left the pieces on my dryer. Not worth the free service the following year. Me and my coworker are switching companies this fall. read more
