You accept the price and want them to move you. until then they string you along and promise to send a contact and assure you it's coming and make you stop looking for movers . I would not recommend, or use, this company again. The move itself was fantastic, the two employees who did the literal moving were courteous and efficient. I was all moved in from truck to room in under one hour with two rooms worth of furniture. The owner of the company, Chris, however leaves much to be desired. He stated he would call me to confirm the loading time, the day prior to the actual move and never did so. He also quoted me a price without ever once mentioning a preferred method of payment. When the employees showed up to load the truck, they told me they needed a deposit, which had never been mentioned prior to that moment, so now I needed two checks. I was also told that Chris preferred a payment in cash; the night before a move is a ridiculous time to notify me that that sum(rather large as I was moving across state lines) was desired in cash. Nearly 1 month to the day after my move, I was notified by Chris that my check for the deposit bounced( which was not true) and he needed cash. It turns out through investigation at my bank, my check was never deposited because he was using mobile banking and the image wasn't clear enough; the check wouldn't go through.Not only that but he shredded the check! Thus the reason for why he needed cash.It is too much hassle to deal with this company, I would NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Used Chris and his men for local moves, they did a nice job, but seems to have a problem with Long Distance moving. Told us he would move us South, in following year, but I must have called & texted him over 10x's.......... NEVER called back or texted back to say he couldn't or wouldn't do it. I had a very heavy hot tub delivered to my house. There was no easy way to get my tub on the concrete pad down to my walkway. I called and spoke to Chris. He made an appointment for the very next day to give me a free estimate. His price was very reasonable and met my needs to get it moved the next day. His workers were very kind and his company was very respectful of my property. They moved it effortlessly and without a scratch. So these guys came in at half the price of everyone else. We agreed on the date to move, and that chris (the owner) would come the night before to check everything out since it is a big house. Friday he calls and says his truck broke down and wont make it to come look but will be at the house at 8am the next morning to begin the move. No big deal. 8am, he calls and says 10 am. 10 am he calls and says 1. At 12 he calls and says he wont make it until 2. Then he calls at 1:15 and says hes running early and will be there at 1:30. He then finally shows at 2:30, to tell us he wont be able to move us that day and had to do it the following day. Luckily i had an extra day before the people that bought the house planned on moving in. He swore up and down that 8am he would be there the following morning, and that hes dropping a truck off in a few hours just to show his commitment to coming that next morning. Well, he never dropped off a truck, and then never showed up the next morning and will not answer his phone. Terrible business. Really put me and my family in a bind. Unacceptable and unprofessional. I highly reccomend spending the extra money to go with a different company. The saying is true, you get what you pay for. We just used Chris and some of his guys; namely Lucas and Matt and they were awesome! These guys showed up on time and clearly ready to work. They never stopped and never complained once, even moving in the pouring rain! These guys are consuumate professionals who are efficient and extremely good at what they do. They're trustworthy and have great personalities. I plan to use them again and recommend them to everyone I know. They removed all the stress associated with moving. DO NOT EVER USE THEM! The owner Chris came to our house and gave us a quote to move from NY to the state of Florida. He claimed he was going to call us the day before the move and he never did. I called him and he said don't worry everything is ok I'll call you later tonight to give you a time of arrival (never calls) so I call him and no answer. I left voicemails and no response from him. Here comes moving day and he NEVER calls. I called him from my cellphone several times and left several voicemails (no answer) and as soon as I called from another phone number he immediately picks up his cellphone. He proceeded to give me a story of how his truck broke down and he's at the mechanic and will call us within the hour! What do you know he never calls back! We weren't moving down the road. He made us feel like everything will be ok and left us with no way to get to Florida! This guy is a scammer do not ever use Affordable Movers!
