Used them for a few years with good service and no issues on investment properties. Recently, we had issues where a tub peeled after a year and were told "tenant damage" so we paid again to have it refinished. Had a tub refinished in June, 2019 and it was peeling in December, 2020. Sent pics and were told "tenant damage" again even though the tub was clearly peeling at the base. Even though I was willing, unwisely, to pay again they stopped returning my calls/texts. Sent pics and requests for quotes to other tub refinishing companies and were told it looked like improper application of the refinishing and some potential tenant damage. As another reviewer mentioned, it's not affordable if you have to pay for it twice. We also don't work with companies that don't honor their warranty or return our calls/texts so we are trying a new company and will provide a review of that company when their work is complete. read more

My wife and I have a baby on the way so we needed to redo our super dirty but awesome 1950 cast iron tub. It'd clearly been DIY'd with cheap tub paint at least once before and was chipping all over. A buddy of mine recommended Luis and I am so so so happy we hired them. The tub looks awesome and they are super good people. They work clean and don't skip steps. Can't recommend them enough. The house sorta smelled like it got sprayed with a hose full of nail polish remover for a second, so if you're sensitive to that just plan on hanging outside for a bit. There were bubbles and drips, as well as overspray on our new matte black fixtures. Luis and Hazel immediately responded to our complaint and offered to install new fixtures and redo the tub. The second visit Luis did the work himself. He and his crew were extremely careful to mitigate dust (put down drop cloths and used air suckers). While the initial work was subpar, the final product-along with their degree of professionalism and customer service-is definitely worth recommending to others! read more

This was my second time using this company. I spoke with Hazel, the office manager, and she set up the appointment. Luis' (owner) guys met me at the home on a Saturday, around 8:00 a.m. The guys used drop cloths, in order to keep the rest of the bathroom, along with all the areas on the way to the bathroom clean, before, during, and after the work was completed. I left them there, and when I returned, a few hours later, I couldn't have been more pleased. The tub looked like new! I will continue to use Affordable Tub Refinishing for all my tub refinishes! Do not use them!!! They don't stand behind their work!! 1 1/2 years and peeling everywhere & they want $300 to fix!!! They are not affordable when you have to pay to repair every year! Blue color coming through on the walls. No harsh chemicals or bleach used & no scrubbing done. Don't know what mote ANYONE - tenant or owner - can do to protect the surfaces.
