He gave a quick onsite assessment of the situation, was professional, an effective communicator and more importantly got to work on the job. As with most of us that do not fortunately get faced with extensive water damage, we needed a lot of hand holding through the process. Went through an extreme nightmare in regard to flooding and mold. Found affordable water damage here on Yelp and gave them a call. Steve came out immediately and helped me get through the entire process. His pricing came in better than the other companies I called for an estimate. He took the time to walk me around the house and identify every problem contributing to the mold. None of the other companies did this. Steve is the hardest worker I have worked with in the contracting realm. He genuinely cares about his customers and it shows in his pricing and his work. A lot of the companies doing mold remediation are only looking to take advantage of insurance benefits and do not care about their customers when insurance denies coverage. Steve fully understands the insurance benefits in Colorado and goes out of his way to help when his customers when the insurance companies fail. I can't recommend Steve highly enough. We had a pretty bad mold situation after a slow leak went undetected for a number of years. I had a number of other contractors come over and I did not feel confident in what they were telling me. Steve came over and his knowledge and expertise were evident right away. He pointed out things that the others had missed and I could tell that he was honest and would do the job right. He went above and beyond my expectations and did a very thorough, excellent job in every aspect. He is very personable, good with communication and made me feel at ease every step of the clean up. We've used Affordable Water Damage twice; three years ago when we moved in the painters noticed potential mold we had Steve come in and eventually pulling out most of one wall later to realize there had been a leak at the fireplace probably since the condo was built. Because of the mold he had to partition off the room to avoid contamination in the house. The second time, most recently a toilet fill valve burst and damaged the bathroom floor, went under the wall to the laundry room and eventually to the basement. Both times Steve was prompt, pleasant and very communicative. When the second event occurred, we did not hesitate to call Steve. We were not disappointed! We are not full timers at the condo so we had to give Steve access to keys, he has proven to be very trustworthy. read more

I had never been in a situation like this. I called Steve and he was there within the hour. He was professional, kind and super helpful. He walked me through how the Insurance process was 'most likely' going to happen. My Agent called me while he was still there and sure as Steve said, all went well. Even though it was a small job, he still took the time to help us and to answer all of our questions; and he gave us a very reasonable price.
