I ve changed my windshield with these guys in the fall of 2024. When I called them first they asked me the year and model of my car (rav4 2022) and said they had the proper windshield. I came and they installed during an hour which cost me 518 cad total. But beware the following: 1. The quality of their windshield is very poor. The one they installed gives distortion in the middle; 2. The viper blade heaters are absent because the windshield they installed doesn have them. While searching for a quote and same-day service that was only giving me either an estimate of $675 from a competitor in Scarborough near Warden and Eglinton for same-day, or connecting with Speedy on Kennedy, whom were saying they could only clean-up same-day but will have to wait for an install a day or more, we got a prompt quote from the owner of Afghan Auto Glass, Haji. Terrible people to work with. I brought my car in to get my rear window fixed. When I went to pick up, they removed the wiper motor without letting me know the price beforehand. On top of that, they somehow removed the roof of the car, WHICH IS NOT NECESSARY FOR THE REPAIR, and it flew off while I was driving. When I brought up this issue, they insisted that they had not touched that part, which is impossible as suggested by two other professionals. They then tried to say it was stolen instead, but will talk to their mechanic who worked on my car. Throughout the week whenever I ask for an update, they either keep delaying or straight up ghost me. When I confronted them about reporting this incident to the Ministry of consumer services, they straight up told me they could say it was stolen and there's nothing I can do about it. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND IRRESPONSIBLE, they did a sloppy job and have bad customer service. Please AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND: Absolutely substandard work and dismissive, patronizing tone from Haji (from whom, as I see he reads and responds rudely to poor ratings, I have zero interest in hearing from). He replaced my cracked windshield, and left a half-inch gap all around the outside (glass shards all over the dash too). I called to inform them. He did not call back. I dropped it off the following day, (he tried to make me wait for him to arrive, although I had been clear I could not be late for work). I called later, and he asked what seemed to be the issue as if he couldn't see the giant gap all around the windshield, revealing the under metal part. Gaslighting at its finest. When I picked up the car, I asked why on earth he would have let me take it home like that in the first place, and he found every excuse under the sun. I must not have had a piece there in the first place, then "some people like it like that", it must have been his employee, etc. He interrupted me repeatedly, and told me to "relax", when I was talking in a normal tone and asking very reasonable questions. When I pointed out some scratched paint, he insisted it was just glue, and that he "hope(d) I wasn't going to blame him for the dent in the roof too." Just completely rude, dismissive and unapologetic for the shoddy workmanship and my inconvenience and lost time. I would have rather paid the thief the $ it cost to replace my window so he could saved himself stealing my $14 in change but alas. I needed to replace the windshield on a 2000 Toyota Corolla. I tried a big name company that offered several confusing options on their web site. Because of the cars age they could not provide an appointment ( I presume they had to locate the glass ) but when I phoned I was given one price of $370. I was given an appointment the next day. They were able to take me in an hour and had the glass on hand ( in fact they supply glass to many of the big boys ). They quoted $190. I took my car to 80 Midwest ( not 140 ) and they were great. Service and quality of work perfect. They have a comfortable waiting room ( it's not fancy ) with TV and free wifi. The job was done in the 1 1/2 hours that they quoted. I met a very nice lady in the waiting room. She had her BMW X1 there for a new windshield. Her BMW dealer quoted over $1400 and a 2 day wait for the part.
