I contacted Speedy Autoglass to replace a cracked windshield. They initially told me it would be $800ish plus tax. Once I gave them all of the specifics of the windshield, they then upped it to $1222 plus tax. They gave me 3 options of their facilities. All were no where near my address, even though they have an Etobicoke location, I would have had to drive out to Thorhill, North York or Scarborough. In the meantime, I called another company and that company told me they would come to my house the next day to do the replacement. That company arrived as scheduled, completed the replacement in less than an hour and charged me $399 plus tax in total. Needless to say, I will never call Speedy again. read more

Have you ever heard someone say, "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all!" Well, that was me. Driving along Hwy 401 yesterday, I heard a sharp cracking noise and thought a rock had smashed into my windshield about eye-level. Nothing looked wrong so I kept driving along the rest of the day. Well, due to the hot temperature yesterday and a slight cooling this morning, a pinhole appeared at eye-level along with a 1 centimetre crack on either side of the puncture. The first thing I thought of was to bring my new vehicle to a place I've been twice before. Ah yes, rocks seem to find me! My vehicle deductible is $1K and a new windshield runs $1200+. Well, book a service appointment and let's get it done. Lucky for me, Frank said they were able to repair the damage as it was less than the size of a 25 cent coin. I was back on the road an hour later for just $119. Customer service was great for the third time but I'm hoping to avoid making this a recurring visit. I won't be visiting this location ever again! I had been to this location a few years ago and I had an amazing experience BUT this time it was absolutely awful! I had an appointment booked to change my windshield and he made me wait 3 hours although I was the one and only customer there. He gave me extremely mean attitude from the moment I walked in. And didn't tell me the cost until after it was finished..so then I had no choice but to pay. read more

We found Speedy Glass through our insurance provider who uses Speedy Glass as their trusted vendor. We went in to have the windshield on one car replaced so car had to stay there for a couple of hours. While we were there for our appointment, we asked if they could give us an estimate on our second car for a large chip. Julie, the customer service rep, came out and took a look at our second car and even asked a technician to come out and take a look. She even took care of calling my insurance provider to inquire about coverage. Luckily they were able to fit in both cars in one day, so that saved us a lot of time which we appreciated. One thing we really liked was the floor to ceiling glass window in the waiting room allowing you to watch your car be serviced. I also really loved that they offered Keurig Coffee with a large variety of coffee pod options. Our overall experience with this location was excellent, very friendly and prompt service. Imagine my horror when I went to my car to drive home to see the window smashed in :( Never having experienced this before of course I was upset and nervous about wondering how I would fix it...and fix it fast! After googling I came across Speedy Auto Glass. I called them first thing in the morning and they walked me through the entire process, gave me a quote and booked me an appointment that morning. While they advised it would be a few hours before getting it fixed, it was done in about 1.5 hrs. Throughout the entire experience they were kind. They vacuumed the ENTIRE car to get rid of the pieces of glass (they even did the back seats and floors even though the glass pieces were in the front of the car). The quote was exactly what I paid - which is always a relief. Last thing after going through a shock like this is to have to argue about prices! They do have a service where they will come to you (I didn't use this), but it is nice to know that if your car is truly undriveable or the weather sucks, this won't prevent your car from getting fixed. read more

My vehicle was broken into last night by smashing one of the windows. I imagined I was going to be spending the weekend looking for a shop that had an opening in order to get it fixed. Late last night I booked an appointment request online with Speedy Glass and received a phone call first thing this morning advising me that a mobile unity could come right to my home at no extra charge/same day! The repair person was professional, and had the window replaced and vacuumed my vehicle within 45 minutes. Speedy Glass called my insurance company and had the claim all taken care of before the guy even arrived so I only had to pay the deductible. Amazing! After detecting the small chip on my windshield and the crack leading from it I called Speedy Glass to make an appointment. The phone was answered quickly, friendly and very competent, appointment was set up easily. My windshield had to be replaced. So car had to stay there for estimated 3 hours but work was done ahead of time and only took 2 hours. The original estimate was higher than what I had to pay for in the end, which was much appreciated. I had an appointment booked for a windshield replacement at my house. They took a deposit on my credit card. You would think the deposit would hold the reservation. Three days before the appointment I receive a message on my phone saying from Speedy requesting me to call to confirm the appointment. WHY?? You have my deposit. I was unable to reach the number they had given me. This was very frustrating. After repeated calls I finally managed to get hold of them. They then said the installer would come between the hours of 8 - 12. Guess what time they showed up.....12. Unbelievable. Not sure if this location was the culprit...I'm writing this in regards to the entire organization. Bad customer service. read more

I've got a small chip on my windshield with a crack approximately one cm in length. I have booked an appointment for the next day. The specialist advised me to do it using comprehensive on my insurance, and he checked eligibility with my insurance company himself. They fixed the chip, but the crack was still there even after several tries. The company invoiced zero! Confident and fair. I am pretty happy with the result: you can barely see the chip. Guys! They didn't give me any help after they told me they couldn't do my windshield with my work gear on top, once they stated that they stopped speaking to me and offered 0 help or time to change. I came in today with my lovely brides car to have the cracked windshield replaced. I couldn't have been happier with the service. The chap behind the desk was very helpful and made all the arrangements with my insurance company. The location is clean and well laid out with good wifi coverage. Nice, big windows let you watch the service bays. And to top it all off, they cleaned the salty floor matts. Very happy. read more

Really bad experience. I made an appointment to get a chip in my windshield repaired. The manager at the Brantford location told me it doesn't need to be filled and it should be fine. Two days later the chip turned into a crack across the whole windshield. Now I'm struggling back and forth with the complaint department and head office for a solution. They're even denying that I had an appointment at all and the manager doesn't recollect the situation whatsoever. So after doing my due diligence of trying to repair a minor $90 chip, I now have to spend $400+ to replace the whole thing .With no help, answers or even attempt of a solution from Speedy Glass . read more

These guys are the best. My lane departure on my 2013 Honda Accord failed some weeks after glass was replaced. Sent it to dealer which gave me the runaround. The manager, Paul, took responsibility. They took off their windshield, installed a Honda windshield, tested again and bet on the camera failure. They fixed everything and repaid me what I spent at the dealership. I can find many ways for them to sherk responsibility but they did not, some old style business ethics here. They have my business for life and not just for broken windshield! read more
