I Tried the gyro pork pita for the first time ever having gyro pork after one of the owner's recommended as it was something he grew up eating back in Greece. It was really delicious. The house made Tzatziki was the best I've ever had. The pita was great too, the owner indicating it too being imported from Greece. I really liked being able to pick your own toppings because it allows you to make your pita very full with veggies. I thought it was really cool to see a father and son open a restaurant and it be something they're passionated about. The upstairs seating area is really a gem. Clean, spacious and the views of Platte and Downtown are pretty great. Will be back soon, probably tomorrow to grab a pita before the Rockies game. read more

The place is kind of a whole-in-the-walk type of establishment; although small the interior was clean and well kept. The gyro appeared small but was rather filling and I liked the flavor. I appreciated the fact that they let you customize and add toppings for free; I added olives and red pickled onions and it made mine taste amazing. I ordered the baklava which looked appetizing, but unfortunately it was dry and not filled with much substance; it was mostly just flaky. I'll definitely come back, but get the gyro only. read more

I found Pita Central by just doing a search of highly rated restaurants near me and Pita Central came up. During my visit we met the owner. Yanni and got some really good information about how their restaurant started. He grew up in Greece. His father had a restaurant there. All he ingredients were high-quality. They actually make their own gyro meat, which is pretty unheard of and they import their pita from Greece because after taste testing hundreds of pitas made in the US None were as good as where he grew up. We had the Greek salad Ultimate and a gyro with the lamb meat and everything was perfect. Highly recommend. read more

I walked by this location one day when heading to another restaurant, and immediately the walk up window from the outside caught my eye. I returned the next day to grab a bite. Honestly, I wasn't overly impressed. The meat was dry and the beef wasn't my favorite. The pita was fresh and I liked the tzatziki. Service was quick, but wouldn't allow me to get a Mexican cola instead of a regular for an up-charge, I was happy to pay more. Veggies and toppings were also fresh and location was clean. The ingredients were crisp and vibrant, the flavors spot-on, and the toppings felt genuinely authentic. You can tell everything's made with care. The pita was warm and chewy, meat well seasoned. This is a nice place with excellent customer service. I have to admit that the euro pita looked small at first, but they packet it full so it was definitely enough! Reading other reviews, one person talked about the meat seasoning and I thought it was strange...however, after eating there I agree; they use a different seasoning on their lamb than any other I've been to. Might be cumin...? Whatever it is, I agree that it does not taste good on a traditional greek euro. Where do I even begin? The lamb/beef is unbelievable. I had the rice bowl- and my dad had the salad and my mom the gyro. Everything was absolutely fresh and probably the best Greek food I have had in Denver. The guy that owns it is incredible- you can tell he does all the work himself with- maybe his father in the kitchen? They make the dish in front of you- and it is incredibly clean. I got the beef/lamb gyro and fries and loved it! The guy loaded up the meat on my gyro and he was not stingy! The meat was flavorful and tender. It also had Taziki, veggies, and other optional cheeses and items to add on top. The fries were freshly cooked and warm. It was counter service, so very quick and we only had to wait a few minutes for the fries. Downstairs looks small but there is a whole upstairs with additional seating options.
