First time here. We dined in. Friendly service, delicious food! Didn't get a picture of the lamb but it was our favorite. Good portions, the bread dipped in the yogurt sauce was delicious. It was a great meal!

The food here is delicious. Large portions, fluffy rice, and good flavors. There platters also come with really good bread.

I'm a huge fan of the Afghan Kabob and Grill location in North Brunswick; some of the best Afghani food around!  This is my third time eating/picking up from the Hamilton location. The food here is just as tasty and good as their other location.  This time we ordered Chicken Tikka Kabob, Mediterranean Kabob, and Chicken Gyro Platter. All the entrees were generous in portion size and delicious. The Mediterranean Kabob and the Gyro Platter were the best! The Afghani Naan accompanying the entrees is freshly made and served warm. Their food is very flavorful and hearty, yet not heavy. The main difference between this location and the other is the interior.  I also feel service is more friendly in North Brunswick. This location is much smaller and has a bit more of a fast food, order at the counter type of feel.  The North Brunswick location is more spacious and a nicer dining environment.  I prefer the North Brunswick location for dining in, but as far as food quality goes both deliver solid Afghani meals!

Whoa-mama!! The food is unforgettable!! I had the falafel platter and the hummus.... it's all so good. Especially their homemade bread!!! And their rice!! I love that twice with the spicy green sauce

Some items they are great at, and some are just OK. I'd advise sticking with anything that's on the Afghan side than going for American type foods. Their lamb gyro platter is pretty good and worth the trip back.

This is a hidden gem in south Jersey that I did not know of! We went here after jummah one day and enjoyed th vast food options. We started off with the samosa chat, which was perfection. The spice level was low so even my toddler was able to enjoy (which for mother's is the best). Next we had Buffalo wings, I wasn't crazy about them. But the kids enjoyed them! I ordered the chicken tikka kabab entree & my husband got the malai boti. Both Tikkas were really flavorful- esp the Malai boti! We also enjoyed the sauces! Can't wait to come back again. The management has taken covid precautions very seriously, tables are spaced apart and clean.

    Ground beef kabob

Ground beef kabob is not good . No flavor at all to the meat. I guess you get what you pay (around $13). For someone who is used to eating ground Kabob at the Persian Grill @ Lafayette Hill PA, these guys are a total disappointment . I highly recommend you try kabobs at the Persian grill . They give the definition of what a quality ground meat kabob should be From this place, I think it's best to order burgers or chicken wings etc (and not much of an ethnic food) which is what locals like and are fast moving items

I come here with my fam occasionally. There's always seating available even though it's a small place, I think most people usually just order to go. It does tend to get kinda smoky at times because they're grilling literally right in front of you. I noticed the seats are almost always sticky and that's probably because there isn't enough ventilation. But overall the decorations and interior design is nice. They have a small prayer area which is honestly so great, very few restaurants would even bother doing that. Food is pretty good! My personal favorites include the cheesesteak and chapli kabob platter. Their hot wings and buffalo wings are great as well. Naan (bread) is usually a hit or miss, but the rice is always cooked well. I've been coming here for years now and the quality of food has remained consistent throughout! Definitely worth trying :)

I would've thought maybe it was a three all day long but after dinner tonight and getting to meet.Muhamme it was definitely a five and we will absolutely be back. We start off with an appetizer of chicken Samosa and not anything like an Indian Samosa a little bit different and very tasty not greasy, a nice crunch. My wife had the lamb Gyro platter that came with a plate of their rice with carrots and raisins, and a side dish and pita bread and I had the lamb shank platter. The meat on the lamb shank was to die, for it melted right off the bone. It was perfectly cooked. Tenders can be soft as can be tasty as can be a nice shoe of pink on the inside and the sauce that it was in we were dipping the pita bread in it, as well as some of the pieces for my wife's platter, which was also extremely tender very unexpected. Overall, it definitely rings bells for us as another food group that now we have a regular place to go.

The service was friendly, and the food came out extremely quickly. I felt we were being rushed just a tad, but not a huge deal. For appetizers, the falafel ($7?), Mantu ($8?), and bholani cadu ($6?) were ordered. Regarding the falafel, there were five to an order. The falafel was very crispy and had decent flavor. I thought they needed a little more seasoning present. The Mantu were Afghan style dumplings filled with ground beef, onions, and seasonings. It was garnished with homemade mint yogurt and lentil sauce. This was light and soft with tons of flavor. The dumplings were filled appropriately, and the lentil sauce was a pleasant addition. The bholani cadu was a thin fried pastry filled with butternut squash and seasoned with fresh herbs and spices. This was interesting. The wonton was very crispy. The squash filling was sweeter than I thought, but still tasty. I also might add all of the three sauces provided at the tables were good, with the cilantro one being my favorite (cilantro I believe anyway). For my entrée, I had the lamb shank ($38?). It came with a soup, salad, a choice of rice, and naan. The soup appeared to be a lentil soup. It came out hot and was very pleasant. The salad consisted of tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. It was prepared nicely as all the pieces were small and a good size portion. The simple dressing was great too. The lamb shank came with a few vegetables. The lamb was extremely tender, but not much meat was on the bone. There needed to be a little more seasoning too as it was lacking. I am just glad the lamb was so tender. I went with the Kabuli rice which had steamed carrots and raisins on top. This was fluffy and flavorful with a ton of it. The naan was okay, a little too crispy. I also tried the lamb chops. They had an unreal cook on them and seasoned well. I also tried the zamarud rice, which was good too. For dessert, the rice pudding ($8?) was ordered. It was creamy and filling. The nice crunch from the pistachios on top was a good addition. Will I go back? I would, yes.

We were told it would take 30-35 minutes, which is fine for cooked to order food. It really wasn't very busy, but the order took 50 minutes. The order was sitting on their counter ready to go, but it appeared they were backed up with making the bread. Once the bread came out, they bagged it up and we were ready to go. They almost forgot to give us the side salad, but they remembered before we left. Now for the food... - The bread that we waited for- was doughy and undercooked. It had burnt pieces stuck to it and they were not shaped as nicely as their usual bread. - The hummus side that we ordered, which was almost $8, was a half filled half pint container (very small amount) of what appeared more like a sauce rather than the thick hummus we are accustomed t. I wouldn't order this again. - The salad was watery...they need to drain the water better - The rice was cold - I think it was sitting out too long - Now for the main event - the meats - we enjoyed the flavor. This saved our dinner, we did enjoy the meats. We called them about the bread and they were apologetic, and told us we can stop by for bread next time we are there. As this is one of my favorite restaurants, I want to give them an opportunity to do better next time! The afghan bread and their rice have alway been my favorite part of their meals! I think it was an off night for them, I'd definitely give them a chance again in the future.
