Mixed gyro platter. Chicken and lamb. Very good.
    Will H.

Apologies to our Yelp community, this is my first review in a while and golly - I've got a lot of feelings, especially about Legend wings & kebab! My fiancée and I both love Halal food. We also love wings. She's a celiac, and halal spots are often safe for her, although she admits to looking longingly at a pillowy pita being dipped into creamy hummus. So to get to the point- Legend lives it up their name! They offer grilled wings, and they're amazing. Not the biggest wings you'll ever have, but you get a generous amount of them and they are packed with flavor. Beautifully charred taste and texture! Who doesn't love charred meat? If you don't, they do have falafel that looked tasty and is also lower priced than meat. Maybe next time? Wings can be ordered in quantities of 10, 14, 21...50. They'll probably make however many you want. I will say they were a tad salty, so have a drink and your beta blockers handy. While Nikki had the wings, I got a mixed gyro platter. The meat tasted like it came off of a spit, with a tasty char. Lamb and chicken were the meats, and they sat atop a bed of brown rice that was well moistened and flavored by the accompaniment of onions and perhaps peppers? Their white sauce is tasty. Perhaps it could be a bit more garlicky, but I'm a garlic nut and am frankly desensitized to it! Topping everything off was an order of hummus and pita. It was solid. The pita MIGHT not be made in house (it often isn't), but it served as a great vehicle for dipping. The hummus tasted fresh and miles above whatever you'll get in a store. The takeout containers were absolutely filled to the brim! Online ordering was easy and smooth. Normally I like to call-in orders because of fees and the fact that I'm now 40 years old. That's an option here too. Legend is definitely now in our rotation! They have other things like cheesesteaks, mozz sticks, even some middle eastern breakfast items with which I'm not familiar. They're in the Dunkin' Donuts plaza on 130 north, just before Hamilton Honda and the big wawa on the corner with Klockner road. Sorry, using Wawa as a landmark doesn't help much around here! No matter your preferences and desires, Legend has something for your palate. Their menu prices may not seem as low as other halal places, but they deliver on quality and quantity. You really do get what you pay for here. I hope they stick around for a long time!

Mixed gyro platter( very good and huge, liked the chicken better than the lamb)

Will H summed up this place pretty well in his FTR several months ago, but it took me awhile to notice. Once I did, I made 2 trips here in one week. On the first one I was at 4 stars plus, the second brought it close enough to 5. My first order was the mixed gyro platter and banana pudding which is the one dessert made in house. The platter was huge and very tasty. I automatically granted a star once I saw there was NO pathetic iceberg salad shoved into the rice. This was just meat meat and rice. I liked both but would stick with chicken on future hauls. I enjoyed the rice more than most of my closer halal options, the added onions and peppers were appreciated. I don't know when the last time I had banana pudding was, but theirs is thick and tasty, I added a few choc chips for good measure. Days later I was back for wings. I ordered 10 of the grilled garlic parm and received 15. They are small, but very good as was the blue cheese and pristine stalks of celery. I didn't think this would be as big as it was so I went for the cheese steak combo as well. This was a different rendering but good. The meat was finely shredded as were the onions and had a little bit of seasoning. My only slight complaint is that it needed just a bit more meat, if I were to reorder I'd ask to charge me extra for more. Roll was ok but worked with the protein, the fries were steak sized. Lastly I got humus for a snack. It came with 2 pitas and nicely done chickpea dip, I'd get again. This is just a little out my way, but the value here offsets that. On both visits the service was friendly and professional. On my most recent one, the chef opened each container to show me, I guess in case the order was wrong? But it was a cool touch. Of note for wing fans, they have a late lunch wing special M-Thur, buy 30 wings and get 14 free. As Will said, look for the Dunkin' and you'll find this mall.

Food is always good. Chicken wings are tasty and a good value. The chicken over rice platters are a big portion.

Hamilton, New Jersey has been waiting for salvation, or at least for something new to eat. For…read moreweeks, cars have lined up in the shoulder of Route 33 like pilgrims on a fried chicken crusade, all of them seeking enlightenment in a red and yellow shrine called Dave's Hot Chicken. Naturally, I had to see what the fuss was about. I ordered takeout because the cars stretched past the entrance way like a metal conga line led by hunger and curiosity . The object of my investigation was Dave's Sliders with fries. The sliders arrived on little potato buns, as if each were the pride of a humble Idaho farmer, topped with kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce. And reader, they were beautiful. Everything worked in harmony. The crisp of the chicken, the brightness of the slaw, the subtle rebellion of the pickles. I chose the "medium" spice level, which turned out to be about as dangerous as a well-mannered librarian. Next time I will go "hot," maybe even "reaper," because if I am going to suffer, I would rather it be for art or poultry. Now, as for the mac and cheese: tragedy, pure and simple. It tasted as though it had been boiled in a space-age pouch, the kind of food that might be served in the afterlife if the afterlife were a public-school cafeteria. It was mac and cheese that had given up on its dreams. Still, the name of the place is Dave's Hot Chicken, not Dave's Existentially Redeemed Macaroni. The chicken was excellent, and that is what matters. So I will give Dave's four stars out of five, because perfection is a myth, and because next time I intend to burn just a little brighter.

There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. I left there stuffed and so happy! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

Karim is located to the right of the market and has about 5 tables for eat in. There is a long freezer case with interesting options and a case of fresh meat as well. Although they offer several well known Indian dishes and a few Chinese ones, I wanted something different. I selected chicken Kadhai and was very happy with it. Also I had the veggie samosas chaat app( although I asked for chicken samosas) and liked that as well. The chaat was a large portion with all kinds of goodies inside, along with a few very good veggie samosas. The entree was even better. It seemed to be a half bird all chopped up, I used my hands to pull all the meat off of the bones. A boneless version is available too. This dark brown rich curry reminded me of butter chicken but with less tomato. The sauce was smooth and delicious, medium heat was verging on spicy for me, but I'll stick with it. A few whole chili peppers were added to it. It didn't come with rice so I ordered garlic naan. The generous amount of garlic was much appreciated and when reheated was a very good naan. This was such a good meal I almost came back a day or 2 after to take advantage of the lunch specials. These come with rice and salad. Rest assured I'll be back very soon, I'll probably get biryani next. 4 stars and climbing.....
