Today is June 24, 2020 today I went to African braiding school and I was amazed! Anta, was the best, she did such a fabulous job on my hair, and my head did not feel heavy no headaches. She makes you feel so welcome and so comfortable she is not only a wonderful hairstylist but she really knows how to make her clients feel that she's truly a genuine person. She was the only stylist working on my head. Her technique, was fast and everyone loves my hair. I live in Florida, and I am here visiting and I was looking for someone to do my hair, because I wanted Senegalese twists in my hair. I read the reviews, everyone that wrote a excellent review about her, were absolutely right!!!Clean environment she made sure everything was according to COVID-19. I highly recommend this place she's more concerned that you are satisfied with your hair being done like you want. I speak blessings over her,and her work place. My first encounter with this business was almost two years ago when I was in desperate need of a professional hair braider. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair so research was a necessity. I found out about the African Braiding School through Yahoo and Google reviews. In all the reviews I read, customers raved about the excellent customer service of the owner, and primary hair braider, Anta. So I took a chance and made an appointment with the establishment. Upon my first visit one thing was for sure, customer service was a priority. I was beyond satisfied with the quality of work Anta provided, as my Senegalese twists were exactly what I asked for and meet my expectations. The time it took complete my hairstyle was reasonable, and so was the price. Since this initial visit, I will ONLY come to Anta's salon to have my braids done. Thanks so much for another great job on my hair Anta. I am so proud of my hair and it feels so good to have my hair did by you. You really don't know how glad I am to be able to have my hair done by you. I speak very highly of Anta; as well as, how she does my hair all the time. Many people make comments about the cost of getting my hair done by Anta. They would rather go to their friends who are not professionals and pay less money. My response to them is this; you may go to your friends and pay less in the short term. Ok; you pay you friend $80 and your hair last 2 weeks or if you are lucky a month and then it needs to be done again b/c it looks a mess. When Anta does my hair it lasts 3 months and I could go longer if I want to. So let's do the math. Yes; that's correct mathematically and logically you are actual paying less when Anta does your hair b/c it is professionally done, it will look nicer, AND IT WILL LAST LONGER! read more

I have just relocated from Pinehurst, NC. to Raleigh, NC. I located The African Hair Braiding School via Google. After reading the reviews I decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering, how Ms. Anita warmly greeted me, while still being attentive to her client in her chair. After getting all of my questions answered and NOT feeling like an interruption we set an appointment for the next day. Before starting my hair, Anta gave a THOROUGH consultation which is something that is very rare. After about 30 minutes of discussing, she then started braiding & only took 5 hours to braid my hair (which is impressive because I have a lot of hair). I was so shocked at the swiftness of her hair braiding & the quality of the braids. She not only gained my trust immediately as an experienced hair braider, but she made my time there enjoyable. I've been a client with Ms. Anta since 2008. She has been able to repair my chemically damaged hair and it has grown from a short pixie cut to hanging past my shoulders. She works fast but the styles always last at least 3 months. I've had micros, sew-ins, box braids, etc. and never had an issue with the weave falling out. Anita is the lying is mf stylist. She lied and I can see in her eyes she lied about her appointments. She knew she had prior committments but had us waiting to only not show up. I hate africans. Thankfully she get her hair done. Find someone more deserving. Hopefully trump will start deporting africans. read more
