The music was at the perfect volume and it was very small and cozy. The espresso is terrible imo but the pumpkin cake makes up for it. They have a unique and interesting selection, and you never know what you might come across while browsing. I really like supporting small independent bookstores like this. I love that it focuses on queer writers as well as writers of color. They had a great selection and I left 3 books later and had a delightful matcha latte and a mimosa. I intentionally have been supporting local businesses with a focus on Black and minority owned businesses. I'm excited to dive into these books during the colder months which tend to be my recluse season. They also serve brunch on weekends, have a ton of community events and talks. They also have a beautiful lounge downstairs where they serve wine after 5pm. They also have a really pretty outdoor area in the back but it was a little too chilly to sit back there and read. I can just imagine how great it'll be in the warmer months. I can just picture myself, perched on a seat, sipping on my matcha...and mimosa reading a good book! Check em out.
