The short story: Terrible workmanship. Don't go here. They deny everything they've done wrong. The long story: They upgraded the transmission cooler and radiator, replaced the brake rotors and pads, and rebuilt the shocks. After replacing the radiator, they hadn't bled the system. It required almost a gallon to top it off. Also, left a clamp undone on the air intake that was taken out to perform the work. The responses to both issues: "Those V8's take a lot of fluid" and "we took out the entire intake so we wouldn't have touched the clamp in the middle". They basically admitted that they didn't bleed the system and supposedly didn't pay attention to see a clamp that was completely undone. One of the shocks started to leak after the rebuild. Things happen and understandable. However, the response was "it was residual". Well, this was 2 weeks after the fact, and they weren't leaking before at all. It was pooling on the shock and in the driveway. Fortunately, they did rebuild the shock and it has not leaked since. They at least stood behind the work even though they gave more excuses. Now, with all this going on, there was a weird noise coming from the truck. I thought it was possibly due to the transmission not being filled after installing the upgraded cooler. They jumped on this issue and had the truck on flatbed to their shop. Very stand-up thing to do. According to them, the transmission was filled. However, now I had a check engine light. Pretty much got a "good luck with that". With the new check engine light, the truck was taken into a mechanics. After a $1300 bill, the mechanic was asked what had happened. The immediate response was "who installed that radiator?" They had damaged the wiring that wrapped around the radiator and went to the fuse box. When I called to let them know, I was told "we didn't install a radiator". I have all the receipts that say otherwise with Aftermarket HQ printed all over it. After 3 months, the brakes seem good. There is at least that. read more

These guys are great. I'm from out of the area and was off-roading my Raptor near Jean Lake. I bent my tie rod. Called them from Jean Lake and they said to limp it over. This is on a Friday afternoon. As soon as I got there they got working on it. In less than 1/2 hour it they replaced the tie rod and had the truck aligned and ready to continue my weekend. The price was on point, especially for an unannounced repair. I wish I lived to closer to give them more work. read more

I blew a coilover on my truck and called around to find a shop that rebuilds. Found Aftermarket HQ. Got the new seals and set my appointment. Dropped the truck off in the morning. Twenty minutes later, Walt called me and asked me to come back. I knew this wasn't good. Arrived back at the shop and Walt and his guys went over everything in great detail. My shocks were no good due to an improper install on my lift originally. Shock bodies had rubbed on the coils. To make matters worse, bolts weren't properly torqued and my suspension had been moving for quite a few years. This resulted in needing new LCA's, inner/outer tie rods and while they had everything apart might as well do the hubs due to age of vehicle (2010). Walt got on the phone right away. Got all the necessary parts ordered and when everything came in, his techs went to work. They did a fantastic job and fixed all the screw ups form the original install from a now defunct shop that obviously (at this point) had no idea of what they were doing. Walt called me the following week to tell me my truck was done. I picked it up and it rides better than ever. Lift components re-installed properly along with new parts. The new Icon 2.5 set up on all four corners is boss. I can't thank these guys enough for the time and effort they put in. Customer service and communication was outstanding! Highly recommend Walt and his staff at Aftermarket HQ for any and all your off-road and upgrade needs. Quality work done right with pride and no BS. Although my vehicle was repaired correctly I was totally unhappy with the paperwork and settlement charges experienced. I went there because the shop is one of two authorized shops in town for Icon Suspension rebuilding. My vehicle was evaluated and a estimate of $1,700 plus would be the cost. I was not given any paper work indicating what parts would be used or needed , just a verbal estimate. An appointment was made for the following week. The car took two days for rebuilding the suspension and alignment. I was called about an hour before their Friday night closing to say my vehicle was ready. When I went to pick up my car, a verbal number was quoted and I paid with a Debit card (same as Cash) . I was told I would get an emailed receipt. After two days subsequent requests for my paper work, it was determined they had one letter off in my email. It was finally sent to me showing a 3% charge for use of a credit card. That fee amount totaled $51.00 I was never told that they charged 3% fee for credit card use in advance nor at the time I picked up the car when no paper work was given for me to review on what had been done. I would have written a check rather than pay a credit card fee. When went to the shop to complain about the credit card charge, Walter told me, to them, a debit card is the same as a credit card. Had it been indicated prominently anywhere in their shop before I did business with them that they charge a 3% fee, I would have paid with a check. An ethical business would have said, "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, let me credit back to your checking account debit card the fee charged in error". But that was not the case. To me this charge, for use of a DEBIT card (same as cash) is an added hidden profit they don't explain when people do business with them . BEWARE of inappropriate business practices at the company. Get every thing in writing at this shop before doing any business with them, if you have to. Grossly disappointed client by this business' ethics read more

I am not a customer yet but I could be. This is about an act of kindness and being a good neighbor. I recently had a tire blowout on LV Blvd and limped to Sunset onto Windy to fix it. I started the usual tire changing procedure and was surprised to see a young man come up with a floor jack. He told me his boss said to come give me a hand. His boss ,Walter, had driven by and saw me stranded. The young man, Evan, made quick work of the change and in a few minutes I was rolling again. This place is absolutely amazing. I took my car in after getting something done at a different place. I was told I needed to get new rear shocks, a new cabin air filter, a new serpentine belt, and lower control arms (at the other place I got stuff done). I don't know anything about cars so I brought those recommendations to someone and he had recommended I come to this place, Aftermarket HQ, to get the cabin air filter and serpentine belt done. I was quoted for $130 with Aftermarket HQ and at the other place I was quoted $210. Aftermarket HQ is slightly farther than the other place I went to, but since the price was better I decided to give them a shot. I got there for my 10am appt and my car was taken right away. I sat inside waiting for about 10-15mins when the guy working on my car (I didn't catch his name) comes in to show me my cabin air filter compared to a brand new one straight out of the box. They practically looked the exact same. The only difference was that the one from my car was slightly dirty, but not enough for a replacement. The guy didn't replace it and only replaced my serpentine belt. He finished within 30mins. I was charged way less than what I was quoted which was amazing. Being a woman, who doesn't know pretty much anything about cars it felt nice to finally have a place that wasn't trying to cheat me out of my money and instead actually cared about taking care of my car. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back again to get anything fixed, replaced, and looked at. Thank you guys so much Aftermarket HQ!!! read more
