Update... our sweet Blue boy had stitches in his ear and had his teeth cleaned at the same time. We were so appreciative that they suggested doing the teeth cleaning while they stitched his ear since they were putting him under and he was due for teeth cleaning. I love how communicative they are and how well they took care of our sweet boy while he was there. They also called the next day to check in on him and see how he was doing. They even gave him this cute hat to wear for the next 14 days while his ear heals. read more

Everyone was so polite, from the first phone call to checkout. They answered my questions respectfully and got my dog in same day for a new patient appointment. They were super nice to my Lily (it's hard not to be !) but it was very genuine. They treated her very well! Greed, money is all that they are there for. One visit $900 and everything for comparison to my last (out of state vet) was more than doubled in price. Come on people, this is hillbilly Spring Hill TN not California pricing! I asked for Dr. Metz to call me back and it took two weeks for her return call after I went back to demand to talk to her because it was an urgent issue. It turns out the doctors only work one day a week or on call only. No follow up when promised. The medication given was $20+ more than I could get anywhere else. If I did go with anyone else, it would have taken days for the doctor to approve of it and I didnt have that kind of time because my cat was literally dying. read more

We first visited Agape shortly after Christmas 2023 because our Cat was throwing up and not eating. My wife expressed to them that she thought our cat had swallowed a string. Though the initial evaluation was Steep, $1,100 I had no complaints about the first visit. We were told our Vet would be out for a few days and we would hear from another vet in the clinic when our x-ray results came back and the other vet would be able to do surgery if it was needed. This made us feel like there was some urgency to the situation and the results. Agape called me to follow up on the visit the next morning and acted like they didn't know about the x-ray results we were waiting on. I was told my vet would be back in 2 or 3 days and we would know then. I told them we thought there was urgency and were told another vet would be reaching out to us. The woman on the phone said I would hear from someone shortly and hung up. Around 4:00 that afternoon I called to follow up since no one had gotten back to me. Again they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. Finally, the receptionist spoke with the other vet and were told the other doctor referred to our case as a "DUMPSTER FIRE". This very much upset me as I spent $1,100 to receive the diagnosis of "DUMPERSTER FIRE". When I got someone in Management on the phone they just tried to sell me more medicine and procedures and neglected to address my concerns. Ultimately, she did end up giving us a financial credit to cover the meds, it was after an extremely heated conversation. Ultimately we took our cat to another vet to receive diagnosis and treatment, but it was too late. The string has moved from the stomach into the intestine and was had to euthanize our cat in early January. I truly feel the time wasted and the frustration and distrust built between Agape over their unprofessional demeanor and use of the "DUMPSTER FIRE" to describe a pricy service and the health of my cat led to the death of my cat. I would strongly advise anyone considering taking your pet to Agape to find an alternative care provider. read more

Lack of COMMITTED communication from the veterinary as communicated from the staff; staff cannot answer basic questions regarding testing and indicates veterinary will communicate this information to the pet owner, but veterinary never calls; staff is rude verbally and through body language/eye rolling and argumentative rather than compassionate about pet owners concerns; veterinary did not see this behavior as an issue, nor did the veterinary see the delay of days regarding scheduling for a pet as an issue. Not a storyteller, so will try to keep it brief. This place used to be a reliable pet hospital that I trusted for medical expertise and fair pricing. Now it seems all about non-essential expensive tests and pushing you to their online pharmacy. They are fine if your pet is healthy and just needs wellness care or typical procedures. Anything more, to include compassion and professionalism, perhaps you should look elsewhere. Appears they have less business, which has led to fewer staff, declined quality of care and an effort to make up for lost revenue by gouging those who continue to use their services. This and the staffs love for my two puppies is the reason we stayed with them. The staff is delusional. Techs are out of their depth and one of them gave my dog two microchips because they were too incompetent to look at her file. I got charged for it. I got double charged way too many times and my appointments were incorrectly scheduled and wasted a lot of our time. They groom them and their nails come back rigid and get caught on their things. it truly sickens me to have to be writing this post but it is extremely urgent that others are aware of the poor care Agape gives their patients... I have two Great Danes that have been seen by Dr Pileggi at Agape- one of them has been seeing him for 4 years. he's always been a typical Great Dane- goofy but scared of everything. unfortunately he was abused by someone who was caring for him and was starved for two weeks leaving him emaciated- Dr Pileggi appeared to be a lot of help getting him back to health. I was preparing for this situation to leave him with a lot of trauma and potential to be scared of men but none of that ever happened... about a year and a half/two years into my interactions with Agape, I noticed a huge turnover rate with AMAZING tech staff that my oldest dane absolutely loved.. we were sad they were gone but didn't ask questions and tried to learn to love the new people except, this was never the case.. my oldest dane became extremely nervous to even walk into the doors of Agape- I unfortunately didn't think too much of it because he's a wussy sometimes anyways. I noticed with certain people more than others (Jannie is the BEST) he would absolutely not walk back with- would full on put the breaks and not move. 99% of the time I would have to walk him all of the way back in trust that the staff back there would be appropriately caring for my dog for his shots/nail trimmings. I am very concerned about what potentially happens in the treatment/ back area of Agape. no dog becomes paranoid of a place for no reason. I used to always be able to trim his nails on my own/clean his ears, etc and now he completely freaks out when I even try to touch his paws (CONCERNING!!! and again, doesn't just happen out of the blue) I remember asking Kendra (a vet tech) how he does when they try to trim his nails because I was confused why all of the sudden he hated it- she gave me a very bland answer and moved along. CONCERNING!!!! time moves along and I get a second dane, she was great as a puppy and has grown to be very shy around people she doesn't know and anxious when she's not around me... she likes to be introduced to people on her own accord and not feel like it's a forced interaction. when she began this behavior and it was time she be taken to the vet for her shots, they took her back to the treatment/back area and quickly brought her back saying "this just isn't gonna work with her back here." not a single time did I ever see Dr Pileggi or any staff put in effort to make her feel comfortable and safe. they made me hold her and she was completely petrified everytime. Dr Pileggi and the vet techs that work here always APPEARED to have my dogs best interest at heart and it's truly sad that deep down those were not their intentions from my point of view. with that being said, I do not trust this place or any employee in it with a single inch of my life. they put on a great front but I truly would fear for your pets well being if you allow your animal to be taken care of by a hospital who does not allow you to be part of your pets treatment. I took my dog here once and it was a good experience. I felt like it was kind of expensive and because of the COVID-19 I am out of work. I gave this place a one star was because of the customer service by a woman who answered the phone by the name of Andy. Who was getting me a quote on some thing I needed for my dog. I asked her to hold for a couple seconds while I had to get away from my daughter because she was distracting me and I couldn't hear. She yelling something and then said GOOD BYE and hung up on me! Her tone of voice made me think that she was very pissed off that I asked her to hold for one second just because my three-year-old was being too loud and I couldn't hear to talk on the phone to ask my next questions. The rooms are too small to stay 6 feet apart. I find it odd that a place that practices medicine and science are not up with safety for clients and employees. No response so I called back 4 days later to see if they had misplaced the request and was told my Vet had left and the new Doctor wouldn't refill the meds until my dog was seen and the first appointment available was 10 days later. The meds were steroids and shouldn't be stopped abruptly. I had to resort to having my dog sedated for grooming due to him being aggressive. I made his appointment months ahead of time 5 months, this office did not call, text any reminders. I called to try and get some kind of amount for this procedure to only get "I will email you a copy of the estimate ". She never emailed the promised estimate. My husband had gotten 2 quotes 1 aggressive 1 not, of course he had the most expensive one, he dropped him off at 8:45am they never called to tell us he was ready, it was 4pm, so apparently they just put him in a kennel. When I went to pick him up, they never told me anything about how things went, bloodwork, sedation etc...the were sure to tell me the cost however! They do not greet you, I find this establishment overpriced, non informative and not very caring. Please get a 2nd estimate and visit the office before agreeing to anything. read more

I trust these vets, it's why I keep going back to them. My dog is comfortable there, and they are very nice and the exam rooms are always clean and not smelly. The staff is always courteous and friendly. I never wait too long for an appointment. They send email reminders and are always up front, which I appreciate. I have one complaint, and that is the fact that I have never been in an exam room without being upsold on something. It concerns me because I never know when they are going to find something for real, and I have to decipher whether they are upselling or counselling. My dog always seems to need an x-ray, and never for the same thing. He's always got a slightly enlarged something, and maybe we should run a test for this. If it weren't every time, I might be more cautious. This is frustrating enough that I consider going to a different vet after each visit. It seems that making money is worth putting my dog through x-rays or drawing blood, and that is disheartening. read more

This veteranarians office OVERCHARGES MERCILESSLY and without warning. I brought my cat in because there was something stuck in her nose. The lead vet and owner of this Hospital evaluated her himself. He determined that she needed abdominal x-rays and blood work because he felt as though she may have been subjected to rat poisoning as there was a small amount of bloody discharge coming from the left nostril of my cat. **remember I told him there is something stuck in her nose ** No other blood was evident. When he came back to the room he showed me a list of approximately 25 blood tests that he had run in addition to the two blood tests needed to check for Decon poisoning. He also showed me the two X-Rays he'd taken, neither of which showed any evidence whatsoever of any problem with in my cat's abdomen. He then said that he was going to give her an antibiotic and if that didn't work I would have to take her somewhere else where they had a scope and they could actually look inside her nose. This was not the biggest problem of my visit however. That came when I went to pay and was handed a $600 bill!! Immediately I voiced my concerns and ask to speak with the vet. I told him that as much as I liked him and enjoyed our conversation I was really disappointed that I wasn't advised ahead of time I would be looking at a $600 bill AND we never addressed the problem of something being stuck in my cat's nose. I told him that just the day before I'd quit my job and I was not prepared to pay a $600 vet bill that did not address the problem. His advice to me was twofold. I should look into investing into their cat maintenance programs, as well as, oh by the way, they're hiring. I am very sad to have to write this review. I don't normally leave reviews but must, so others are aware. Today I took my almost 2 year old Puppy to see the Vet at Agape for the first time. My appointment was at 10:00 and I arrived a little late, about 10:15. I apologized as I am new to the area, first time there etc. The woman at the front desk was not discreet with the fact that she was unhappy I was 15 minutes late and said she'd "go check if they will still see me". My intuition was to just take my dog and kids and leave and go visit the Vet in Columbia that was recommended by a friend but unfortunately after lugging everyone there I decided to stick it out. I wish I hadn't. The visit was followed with the Vet Christina Crawford being extremely impatient and aggressive towards me during our visit. I have never been talked to and treated so poorly by a professional in my life. My pup, who is normally a sweet girl was very nervous. Which is pretty normal in my experience. None the less I was made to feel horrible as the Vet rudely told me that they "had to muzzle her" and that she "expressed her anal glands all over the place" in the back. Telling me rudely that she will need Trazadone the next time before she sees her. Which she has never needed in her prior 2 visits at our old Vet. I said that she is usually very sweet and calm, and I asked, "most dogs aren't thrilled at the Vet right?" Instead of any comfort or reassurance she instead asked me condescendingly if I've "ever had a dog before" and told me that my dog "isn't normal". The Vet was very argumentative, it was odd. I really hope my dog isn't now scarred and afraid of the Vet because of this place. I regret not listening to my initial intuition. I felt talked down to and condescension from the Vet instead of patience and love. Wow, to say the visit was horrible is an understatement. I honestly felt sad and hurt leaving. This isn't how a Vet should treat anybody and especially being new to town and far from family it was the opposite of the warm welcome I was hoping my family and my Dog would get. It seems that the impatience and aggressiveness possibly stemmed from me being 15 minutes late, I let the lady up front know that I didn't have a good experience and would not be returning. I would have much rather they just let me know they would not see me, than see me and be mean. Her response was not to show any care for my experience instead reiterating that I was "late". Wow. I really recommend these folks. We took our dog there today and they were very good with him. We brought him in for one thing (that they treated very well) and they did an exam and found another issue that we didn't know about. They sent us away with some food too but I assumed it was free (like a manufacturer sample) and discovered that we were charged for it. We also had an issue with the bill as we checked out. They were about the overcharge us for medicine by $80 but I asked about it and they fixed it. I'm sure it was an honest mistake. I'll still go to them because I think they know their stuff and they are very loving with my dog. This place has horribly gone down hill. I wouldn't take a dead animal here. I took my dog there to get his nails trimmed with a follow up appointment a week later for a wellness visit. Staff asked if my dog needed his nails trimmed but were told he just had them done a week out (which they should have known with current day technology called computer software). The tech decided they needed to be done again so as my dog whelped in pain, she proceeded to tell us "he doesn't like that". No $h!t Dumba$$! You are filing nubs. Disgusted by their incompetence and charging me again for this unnecessary and painful procedure, we requested to have one of the charges for nail filing removed as was not necessary. Front desk stated they would have the office manager contact us. Today, "KAREN" the office manager contacted us finally days later to say that us being upset with their unnecessary service upset her staff and was handled by us incorrectly so she wasn't going to reimburse our money. If they need my $18 that bad they can have it and we'll move on down the road to Columbia Animal Hospital where their one competent staff Dr. Pileggi found new employment. I WONDER WHY? read more

I wish there were extra stars to give. This is an outstanding facility with genuine sweet and caring individuals from the first hello to everywhere in between. I had taken my sheltie to specialists and other vets and she was running out of time. She had lost half her weight and was not drinking water anymore. After fifteen minutes Dr. Pileggi diagnosed her with a UTI and then listened to her other symptoms and took the time to call the University of Tennessee and talk with them as well. He is an incredible Vet and human being. He exceeded our every expectation. He continuously surprised us with his caring, calm demeanor and knowledge. He is the Best and we will remain in his debt. We had to board our kitty while we were on vacation. She had never been boarded for an extended period so I was a little concerned especially since our cat had special dietary needs. The staff was so very accommodating of all my requests. The assured me all her needs would be addressed and that they would call me if there was any problem. I did call about 2 days prior to picking her up and the receptionist gave me a detailed report of her stay up to that point. Agape Pet Hospital is fantastic! It is filled with friendly people who really care about you and your pet. Dr. Crowell takes the time to talk to you about your pet and really listens to your concerns. The whole staff (and the people waiting) were so kind to us when our cat died. When our rabbit had surgery a picture was sent to me to let me know that she was doing well and would be ready soon to be picked up. They greet my dog and I by name as we walk in the door.
