A friend booked this reservation for a couples night out. The location was ok, but parking was difficult. We were seated right away on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. They don't do menus so we had to scan QR codes on our phone. I had looked at the menu online, and it turns out the menu online is different from the QR code menu. We order drinks and then a woman comes over to take our picture. I figure it's for their social media, however she came back trying to sell us a picture in a frame for $28. Not only was it a terrible photo, but I don't expect some tacky photo take unless I'm at Disney world. The musics so loud the whole time, we are all yelling to be able to hear each other. They then try to sell us on a great DJ coming at 9pm...to Belleville? Our food came and it's OK, definitely just basic food- which for the price I should expect. My Oaxaca bowl really lacked flavor and was watery, I just picked at it and ate at home later since it wasn't worth sending it back. Some people did think their food was better so that's why I gave it a two versus a one. Planned a 39th bday get together on the rooftop with about 10 friends on a Sunday for their boozy bottomless brunch. We were pleasantly surprised that there was actually a drag brunch planned! It was a hot a$$ day on that rooftop but it was fun and awesome! The music and vibe was great they had a dj playing and about an hour into the party a drag show started. It was fun and entertaining the drag queens were so interactive with us and made my bday even more special! They pulled me up to the front to participate in a dance off and some free shots. The show was awesome! The service was great the prices were great as well. It was too hot to drink like a fish so I only had two or three drinks. I did not participate in the bottomless margarita for $50 or bottomless mimosas for $30 that afternoon but sure plan too! I'll be drinks were superb the pins coolada was my favorite and the mango margarita was great as well! The food choices were a bit limited for brunch but I was able to get the BEST THING I EVER ATE, a birra pizza!!! Holy crap was it so so so so so delicious. I'm planning to get one to go one day it was just that good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food and loved the whole experience except for the heat lol. The atmosphere was so pretty and colorful. We wanted to try out the speakeasy on the second floor but the queens were using the area for a dressing room. It was a very cool concept though you walk up the 3 floor walk up to the rooftop and on the second floor there's a large life size mirror that you move to enter the speakeasy. We will be back for that! Also after the party we ended up grabbing a few drinks at the first floor bar. It was a very cute space and had a nice air conditioner running lolol. Nice rooftop but overall terrible customer service from the server. Came with a group for Taco Tuesday $20 all you can eat promo. Was seated with a reservation. We even asked the server if the taco deal was tonight and she said yes, but it's $3 per taco... ? We were confused but ordered anyway. So I actually asked her again and she said yes, only for those who make a reservation. We told her we did and she said she'd have to edit our order since she charged full price for our first round of tacos. Okay fine - but she took forever to ever come around to our table. Finally she came back & said her manager couldn't even adjust the prices on our first round of tacos, and said she'd try asking again. She came back and said "Sorry he really couldn't fix it. And by the way, the veggie tacos don't apply to the promo." I understand servers get busy especially on a Taco Tues but it wasn't terribly busy. We only saw her enough to ask for one more round of tacos. I resorted to asking another worker for a side dish and his service was faster than the girl server. She never brought our waters we asked for. Waited a half hour for our check when she said "Oh sorry i thought my corowker brought it to you." Waited again for the check. Overall - her attitude was off putting from the beginning. Like passive aggressive. Her service was wayyyyy too slow. Food was fine. Customer service was 0/10. I really wanted to love this place since the aesthetic is so cool. But really the food is super mediocre. Came here as a group of 5 for brunch on a Sunday. We were seated promptly since we had a reservation but service was on the slow side throughout our time here. Guac and chips is about $16 - pricey but Guac is good ! Not a large enough portion though to justify price. Enchiladas - I ordered veggie but they stuffed it with so many diced roasted peppers I had to remove most of it. The enchilada itself didn't hold together at all and was disintegrating in the sauce. Would not recommend Drinks- margarita was good and standard, but the colada was not my favorite. The creaminess didn't work well, and the cinnamon/nutmeg seemed out of place Dessert- churros were undercooked/mushy on the inside and tasted like old oil :( dipping sauce was chocolate and good. Also the chocolate tres leches was nice There's a good amount of parking in their lot. Ambiance is nice but the music is too loud- it makes it hard to have a conversation even sitting close by. Having a reservation really helped us out. The staff member who greeted us and sat us at our table was very kind and accommodating. We were there on a busy Saturday night the vibes were vibing, the music was booming, and drinks were flowing! Everyone was having a great time. The live DJ was a nice touch to the bright and colorful furniture on the rooftop. We ordered the guacamole with chicharrón and it was delicious. They use fresh lime juice!! Music is loud so you definitely can't hear your friend if they're 2 seats over. $16 drinks and they come in a tiny glass filled with pretty ice and flower. But my beef is with the CANNED CORNS YA'LL. How you gonna serve us canned corn and charge $10!!! Chefs should be ashamed of themselves! Go buy you some fresh ears of corn and grill that jawn up and serve it right! Also, I saw couple of people ordering whole fried fish for their dinner and I swear, that entire back bathroom section smelled like the stinky pier. Came in yesterday on a Saturday night with a large group of ladies. We sat in the speak easy section upstairs. The decor was beautiful, the music was great and margaritas were good. It's more of a lounge area rather then a speak easy since the music was lively. We stayed upstairs for about an hour before making our way down for dinner in the main room. I had shrimp tacos and the coconut flan. Both were delicious. I'll be back again. I suggest to call ahead for reservations and be aware that parking is a little tight. read more

Came here Saturday night 2/18/22. Tried to get a reservation but there was a 2 hr wait. The place is new and has very good ambiance so I get it. The main issue with this restaurant beside other things is the customer service. Hostess are not pleasant- you would think if there's a 2 hr wait would suggest to sit at the bar. But no We waited and sat at the bar to be ignored for a while, this is so rude, all they have to do is at least give you a look to wait. That's all . All the bartenders act like they were sent from heaven and are super busy to even acknowledge customers sitting at the bar - Once our bartender came over, she took our drink order and then walked away as I was trying to order food since we waited for a while - pretty rude . She came back with probably the worse margarita I have had ( tasted like lemon water) we changed our drink but not before the bartender gave us a lectured on how the margarita is made with real lime juice and simple syrup - it was awful , weak and flat. I'm not sure if she's aware but most places are making their margaritas the same way "handcrafted" is not some invention they created. - just saying. But any way the food arrived and it was a big disappointment- the guacamole was decent but the tacos were cold, the soup was a disaster - it tasted like cold chips and salsa. The ambiance of this place was really great. I came here on a Friday with a friend and Billy was our server. He was really nice. We ordered flautas which were okay and Birria tacos which were AMAZING! We also tried a variety of drinks recommended by the server. After dinner we sat at the bar where we were greater by Abel. He was sooo awesome all night! Honestly, we'd go back just for him lol he was doing all kinds of bartender tricks and it made it such a fun girls night. We both said we have to go back to experience the other floors. Apparently, the speakeasy is on the second floor and the rooftop on the third but we had so much fun on the first floor we never made it anywhere else lol. Oh only downfall is parking but if you're from the area, you already know Washington Ave sucks! But same issue anywhere urban really so I don't see a point in complaining about it. read more

This past Saturday night I came here to Agave Maria and visited their speakeasy Xaman room for date night. The service was incredible from the hostess to the waiter to even the manager checking in on us. The ambiance was super sexy and dark. The music was not too loud in the speakeasy and loud enough to vibe out. The drinks were soooo yummy we tried three drinks Angry Jimador, El Fresa and Bella Griselda. My fav was the Angry Jimador very spicy and strong ! Loved that. The food was amazing super flavorful and great portions we had the chicken empanadas the corn and chicken tacos and the birria tacos. The Birria tacos were my absolute favorite probably the best I've ever had to be honest. Overall this was such a vibe for date night I can't wait to visit again with my fiends. read more

Date night no Girls night yes At 6pm the music is pumping. It is like eating at the club. Best part is you can hear the girls next to you yelling about all their drama, and you can photobomb soooo many selfies. The food was ehh. In this area your Latin food should be on point. Not so much. Too much cream in the quac, the fish tacos a little too fish and made one of us a little too sucky. The pork belly tacos had cold bbq sauce on them. The Waldo no spice just sugary and smoky, BUT you are not coming here for the food it's to be seen in Belleville and eat at the club. The drinks tasted fine. Little week but fine. While the food was good, the service was horrible. Took forever to get a second round of drinks and even to get the table cleaned after we were done with our meal. When we asked for desert, the server said he could pack it up to go because they had a large party waiting for our table. We said no thank you. We went for a Saturday Brunch. I'll start with the positive. The place is gorgeous. The food was hit or miss. We ordered meatballs and they came out completely raw but the steak and eggs on the other hand were delicious. I am use to establishments that are ready for customers as soon as they come in. Brunch begins at noon then the DJ should also be there at noon to set the vibe. He didn't start DJing until after 1 pm. I would only open the doors when you as the establishment are ready for your customers. 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas. Sounds amazing but only if the waiter would make it worthwhile or for this matter all servers contributed to keeping the mimosas full for the tables. We literally had one waiter for the whole first floor for close to 3 hours. I've been to many brunches where this was never an issue because the team on shift worked together to keep the customers content and honor the 90 minutes. We were understanding to the fact that this may have been a staffing issue yet we did see many employees come in and not assist the overwhelmed waiter. I hear that this place is much better at night. As an establishment, if you cannot hit all hours of the day out the park then focus on the one that makes you stand out from the rest. Maybe the rooftop does that for them. What an amazing place, but more importantly, what amazing staff! We came here for dinner downstairs, and drinks upstairs in the We went with a bunch of shareable items. The shrimp tacos were super fresh, and the batter was incredibly delicate The Ensalada en Tulum salad was huge and perfectly flavored! We also got the Barbacoa empanadas, which were perfectly flavored and filled perfectly The drinks were amazing - Waiter recommended Bella Griselda and it was the drink of the night We also were able to head upstairs for a few after-dinner cocktails and the bartender JeanCarlos that night didn't disappoint. He made some amazing cocktail called the 'Smoking Lily' that perfectly balanced the smoky mezcal with the sweet blackcurrants. Special shout out to one of the restaurant managers, Peter (our friend from Ireland!) He was very gracious, and friendly, helping us out with a few things throughout the night. Last night my best friend held her fiancé surprise birthday party here. I will start by saying how accommodating the staff was. They were attentive but not hovering. Next the food. I had chorizo croquettes. It was the perfect start for me. They had had 2 other courses and honestly everyone enjoyed the 2nd course and the deserts were so good! I would recommended this place to anyone who is looking to host an event. The decor was on point and they even have a large deck area that you can also rent own. The young lady say oh we don't do pick up orders we do Uber eats I responded: no, I prefer to pick it up. Uber Eats is too expensive. She didn't have a response for my statement, so I ended the call. My husband and I wanted to try this place out for our date night. Made a reservation for their Xaman room for 615 pm since they open up that room at 6 pm. We were the only ones there at that time which was nice and quiet, people started to come into that room around 7ish. I am glad we picked that section of the restaurant because the rooftop and the main level had music playing which was pretty loud, would have definitely been hard to have a conversation. Drinks were great, had a mango margarita and the paradise gin drink. Service was great too but then again we were the only ones there for about 45 minutes. Food was mediocre, we had the birria tacos, fish tacos and al pastor tacos. I definitely enjoyed the ambiance of the Xaman room. Will definitely be back for drinks. read more
