Everything is good about Agave, especially Dr. L. Jones. The front lobby is pretty cool. If you come early they may try and take you early. Wellness checks are fast and efficient. If you have multiple kids they will let you double down on one appointment. The only thing I dont like is that it is kind of a pain to schedule. With my first baby I wanted to make sure we got the best care for her. I did extensive research on pediatricians and Agave was the best rated so we gave it a shot. We were able to make an appointment with Dr. Jones who came very well recommended from our hospital. Not only that, they always have availability! We needed a next day appointment to be released from the hospital, and Agave made it work. Dr. Jones is amazing in all aspects. She listens and gives the best advice without being pushy. We found out our baby has a tongue tie and Dr. Jones referred us to the tongue tie specialist and Dr. A was amazing. He gave us his genuine thoughts and didn't force us into a procedure. Our baby girl has her tongue tied but is breast feeding well and doesn't have any other signs of discomfort and he gave us options. Checking in and checking out is always really pleasant! We've been going here since our first son was a few months old and I'm so glad we switched over! Now he's a little over 3yrs old and we have a newborn that just had his first appt last week. Agave has been incredible since day one. They're always friendly, patient, thorough and I've never felt rushed or not listened to. Our son has had his lip and tongue tie fixed here (which helped tremendously), we've seen the lactation consultant many times and plan to with our newborn as well. They have many locations so if we can't get in one place right away (which is rare) there are other locations we can try too. We're really lucky to have found Agave especially when we did. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR / OFFICE I gave this office a second chance after my initial experience, and unfortunately, it only confirmed my concerns. At our first visit, the doctor examined my newborn and performed an oral exam but failed to mention that my baby had a misaligned jaw. I later saw an independent lactation specialist (not affiliated with this office), who identified the issue immediately. When I brought this up at a follow-up appointment, the doctor told me -- verbatim -- "It's not my job to point that out. That's a chiropractor's job." That response alone was incredibly concerning. I chose not to see him again and scheduled with another provider in the office. That experience was just as disappointing. As a first-time mom, I felt completely dismissed and invalidated. When I explained that I was pumping, not directly breastfeeding, I was met with a negative and discouraging response instead of support or guidance. The appointment felt rushed, and very little time was spent actually assessing my baby. Instead, the majority of the visit focused on vaccines. If you are looking for a provider who is open to discussion or alternative approaches, this is not the place. You are either expected to vaccinate or repeatedly sign forms declining, and it dominates the conversation. I also shared concerns about my baby possibly having reflux and my lack of sleep. The response I received was: "All babies have reflux -- get used to not sleeping." That was incredibly dismissive and unhelpful. Additionally, this office seems very quick to push procedures like tongue tie and lip tie revisions. Rather than exploring root causes (such as tension, alignment, or feeding mechanics), it felt like they default to procedures that align with their specialty. Overall, the care felt impersonal and transactional -- like being part of a system rather than receiving individualized attention. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for care if you want providers who listen, investigate thoroughly, and support you as a parent. I love this Doctor's office, I've been with agave pediatrics since I had my first son in January of 2024 and I've been coming ever since. I LOVE the Chandler location there is a nurse/MA at this office who I love love LOVE I dont remember her name but she's young dirty blondish hair with glasses she's so sweet and gentle. After the nightmare experience I detailed in my original review--disorganized check-in, unfounded referrals, dismissive exam practices, unprofessional staff--I had already switched pediatricians and requested that my daughter's records be sent to her new provider. Only after doing that did I receive a letter from Agave "discharging" my daughter from their practice. Let me be crystal clear: this was nothing but petty retaliation because I called them out publicly and demanded my records. Think about that--rather than focusing on patient care, this office spends its time sending childish discharge letters to families who have already left. That's not medical professionalism; that's thin-skinned corporate arrogance. Their behavior perfectly illustrates what's wrong here: * Unprofessional doctors making snap judgments outside their scope of expertise. * Dismissive exams where legitimate concerns were brushed off from the doorway. * Rude office management (Denise in particular) who hung up on me rather than address a simple records request. * Retaliatory tactics instead of accountability or patient-centered care. They couldn't even manage continuity of care--once the original physician left, the practice collapsed into chaos. The discharge letter only confirmed what I already knew: Agave Pediatrics is more concerned with protecting their fragile egos than with protecting children's health. We've moved on to a new pediatrician who actually listens, explains, and examines our child thoroughly--the exact opposite of the DMV-like dysfunction at Agave. I have been with agave for 5 years, at the Scottsdale location since my son was born . Today I had an appointment for my newborn at the chandler location due to now living closer to that location. On arrival I was informed there was an issue with my childs insurance. While the young lady was looking to see the issue, I watch and hear her whisper my last name and giggle to the other person at the front desk . My last name is uncommon and is easily one that could be made fun of. I'm aware of this as it's been my last name my entire life, I don't normally care if other people do. I myself do. However it was extremely unprofessional for her to do so. Not only to another colleague, but in front of my face thinking I could not hear nor see her as I was literally standing at the check in iPad. I proceeded to called our incurrence to resolve the issue. They had made a mistake that would need to be resolved and I needed to call another number. But in the mean time I was told my newborn checkup could be billed to my insurance. I let the young lady at the front desk know this and said she would just need to call the provider service to confirm, As this is what I was told to have her do. She said she wouldn't do that. An continues to say "you can just pay out of pocket" in a very unprofessional way . I said let me call the other number and see if I can get this resolved, while waiting she kept glaring at myself and husband and making comments to the other lady with her * I felt uncomfortable and treated poorly. I decided to leave. As a stressed. Sleep deprived, mom suffering with postpartum I don't deserve the attitude or unprofessionalism I was given today. When I left I called Scottsdale and right away I was helped, the lovely young lady I spoke with was happy to call the provider service . And get this resolved. I was in fact able to get it billed to my insurance while waiting for our babies information to be fixed. Sadly I can't get in for a few days, but was able to get an appointment made. If the young lady at the chandler location had done her job we would have been able to be seen today as planned. Rather she refused and decided to be rude and unprofessional. I hope when choosing who should be the first to interact with the patient they choose more welcoming and Supportive individual. I have recommended Agave Pediatrician to many people and I will continue to do so. This location's office manager should not be speaking to the public.. I've been with Agave for 13yrs! The phrase 'we don't have time' should never be uttered when your business is dealing with people. Should've left a while ago, I guess we stayed for convenience and we like Dr. Jones but it is a joke that we are in 2026 and I have to drive to the office to turn in a paper copy of a physical form to be filled out and then have to come back to get it! How do you not have the option of uploading a form to the patient portal ? Update your systems, this is crazy! I understand this was last minute and I appreciate Dr. Jones filling it out for us. Probably took less than 5 minutes to complete. We had the same exact issue last year and it wasn't a last minute request. Also, waiting 30min on the phone just to get someone on the line to say there is no availability for a same day sick visit. Why have that as an option if there's never any 'availability'. Will be looking for a new provider. read more

We have used Agave since my daughter was born back in September, and we love it. There is almost no wait time at every appointment, and it's really easy to get a same day or next day appointment. All of the front desk and nursing staff are very friendly, and I have never felt rushed by either of the pediatricians that have seen my daughter. read more

We have been patients for some time with Agave. Initially started out at the Deer Valley location, which we made an hour drive just because we loved the pediatrician so much. My con would be there was no communication when that doctor left the practice except word of mouth from other staff members. Currently our littles are under doctors. L. Jones and M. Farinella. Both do a great job at explaining things and spend and adequate amount of time for exams. Proceeded to call twice more over the week to be told the same thing with still no call back. After finally talking to them they wanted a deposit just for the appt of $100. That i would get back in a check? Then its another 100 if you dont show to your appt. Sounds like a scam lol and nobody wants to even call back a first customer? He hears all my concerns and was very reassuring, he was honest and very and professional. you can tell he knew what he was doing. We went for a consult on a release and were on time for our appt and waited 45 mins in a tiny room with a toddler. During the consult with Dr. Argarwal we were met with riddle like advice/answers that was confusing and then we were met with hostility when asking clarification. Rarely do I leave a 1 rating. We went to the Chandler location for our sons 10 month old well visit. First off, the waiting room is completely jammed pack, no room to even sit. Secondly, the actual exam rooms are completely bare and not clean looking. Next, we received medical advice that was completely opposite from any other doctor and quite alarming. Everything I look up says the opposite. Then we called and asked to talk to a medical professional because we needed to know what to do next. Our son had a 104 fever and some difficulty breathing. Was told they weren't messaging back and they should call me back within an hour and no one ever called! I will not be returning to this clinic. I was worried sick about my son and wanted to get a recommendation on whether to bring him on, go to ER or keep him home and monitor. Additionally, they have a separate number on their line to schedule tongue toes-sounds like a frequent recommendation and a money making practice and less concerned about patients well being. They don't have a number to push to leave a message for an MA or nurse but they have a number for that. And still ins hock no one called about my son. Want a mess of a practice. After we had finished up with an appointment with another provider, she sat and talked with us though we didn't have an appointment scheduled with her. Unorganized, unprofessional, incompetent - not the type of business any parent should take their child to. Be warned. My wife and baby were seen by Dr Rajeev Agarwal and had a horrible experience. He was quick to talk over her and did so in a very condescending and insulting manner, he did not listen to her concerns or questions, he did not adequately explain instructions, and even went as far as fabricating new symptoms, suggesting our baby suddenly developed jaundice (we just saw them 4 days ago and our babies skin was perfectly healthy and still is). The manner in which multiple members of their team ignored my wife's concerns and were so quick to spout off unreasonable, blatantly incorrect advice leaves me to believe these people are either grossly incompetent or simply spiteful. His scribe was equally rude and unprofessional, saying that my wife's problems are only problems not because of anything else other than "a mother issue". Their protocols are out of date and are not backed by science. Please look at other clinics and their protocols, and examine the studies on your own. I don't expect every individual to be scientifically literate, but you're better off going elsewhere. This clinic does not value you as a person or even as a patient. They just want to have you return as often as you can so they can make money. read more

Being a first time mother can be overwhelming and when one chooses to ask for an advice, guidance/help from a lactation consultant, it is in hopes of getting some insight on lactating and pumping. Michelle is a very educated individual, seemed very knowledgeable, but lacks the people touch/skills. It is unimaginable how little she made my sister feel. She talked down to my sister, had a condescending tone and downright rude. She made a new mother feel like a bad mother and awkwardly stupid by the way she was talking and asking questions and side comments she would make. Honestly, I have never heard of someone in pediatrics be so rude to a new mother who is still going through a hormonal/emotional turmoil and belittle them in the way she did. She did a great job discouraging having the experience to breastfeed and pump. The pediatricians are great, but honestly I was baffled by the treatment from the LC. read more

The provider (I believe her name was Jessica) we saw when our son was 3 days old was wonderful, very caring, gentle and answered all our questions as new parents. Our son had a tongue and lip tie when he was born (cut the day after coming home) and wasn't able to latch and she was very helpful with giving us great information. But holy cow, this office staff in unbelievably embarrassing, please please please do not even waste your time mama. I could ramble but truly just want to save you from frustration and stress.
