Staff was kind and easy to talk to. The waiting room was clean, quiet, and also aesthetically pleasing with holiday decor and blue color scheme. Yody did my laser pigmentation removal. She was kind, knowledgeable, took the time to learn the history of my skin and medical conditions/prescribed medicines . She did not pressure me to buy any other products or procedures, but did bring them up in conversation which could be a good thing to know for future services or to bring up to friends and family. They do offer quite a bit. I was a little caught off guard with the lightning wipes being an additional cost. Previous conversation seemed like it was included as aftercare because of the need with assisting the procedure to actually be beneficial. first i have to say that i love every single girl in this office. they're all so beautiful and sweet, it's my favorite appointment to come to. i had gotten my lips filled years ago somewhere else and loved them but i had extensive dental work done and they just weren't the same after. i took some time to dissolve them and fill them again but still couldn't get the look i wanted. a friend recommended callie so i came in for a consultation and we decided facial balancing would be the best option to take care of everything i wanted to address. when i came back for my actual appointment, sofi took me back right away for before pictures and to start the numbing process. if you're someone who doesn't handle pain well or you just want to be super relaxed for your appt, they now offer pro-nox and i 1000000/10 recommend lol. during the appointment, callie made sure to communicate concerns/ possible outcomes as well as asking me my opinion on everything she did which i really appreciated. the whole appointment took about 90 min, they gave me a headband, robe, a blanket and pillows so i was super comfy, and i felt absolutely nothing with all the needles we were using. even if i did, sofi was there the whole time moving the little vibratey thing around which really holds your attention somehow. i'm just a few days after my appointment so i'm still a little bruised and swollen but im already so happy with the difference. will always come back side note - their membership program is actually pretty helpful. i treat it like a bill and just forget about it every month so by the time i come back i have a good stack of money already in there and i get discounts on everything. almost every appointment i walk out paying nothing that day. read more

I have been a long standing customer with Skintellect- prior to 2020. As a woman of color, I struggled with hyperpigmentation and in-grown hairs from waxing. I decided to try laser under the recommendation of the owner, Yody , and never looked back. Although I wouldn't consider laser as permanent, it will slow the growth and thickness of the unwanted hair. I no longer have ingrown and it truly improved the hyperpigmentation. I can't speak highly enough about Stephanie at Skintellect Laser. My laser journey began in September 2022 after seeing a post about Stephanie's work in a Facebook group. The person who posted about their laser experience had the most AAAmazing results with lower leg laser treatments! What convinced me to book with Stephanie was seeing the amazing results on a fellow POC's legs. As a POC myself, I initially had some hesitation, but Stephanie's proven expertise in working with diverse skin tones quickly reassured me! On my first visit, I started with lower legs and underarms. Stephanie was kind and patient and thoroughly explained each step. The process was not too painful and was quick. Over time, I also had sessions for my bikini line and have been pleased with the results. After nearly two years and five sessions, my leg hair is almost gone, and my underarms have minimal hair growth. I took a chance back in 2016 with a Groupon from Skintellect. I feel that the fact that I am still consulting Yody's services should speak for itself. From our first meeting, Yody put me at ease. For most of my life, I have suffered with skin issues of some sort, most notably acne and hyperpigmentation. As you might expect, this came with it the toll on one's self-esteem. With her expertise, recommendations and care, I am pleased to write that the quality of my skin has seen significant improvement. I feel better and more confident about my physical appearance than I have in my life thus far.
