A full time chef plans & prepares the meals, nutritious and well balanced. The facility has just been renovated and stays cleans. She had lived on her own in Hawaii until age 100 and we knew assisted living would be a hard sell as she is fiercely independent. After interviewing many options around town we decided that The Lexington would be the best fit for her. She loves it and we could not be happier with the care and attention she receives! Many of the staff have been there for years and that speaks so well for the facility. In addition it means the residents wants and needs are well known to them and each resident experiences the benefit of personalized attention. The dining room with 3 meals a day provides the opportunity for frequent socialization. The courtyard area is lovely and numerous "socials' and get togethers are planned regularly by the staff. There are a multitude of other activities such as bingo, movies, arts and crafts, exercise sessions, music and Lexington bus outings available. In this time of COVID 19 they have continued with the finest care while still providing a safe environment for the residents. I cannot recommend The Lexington highly enough. Thanks to everyone there. I just found out that Johnathon is the owner's son, so that really tells you they don't care. If you do not have an advocate checking on your loved one, you had better get one. My dad was in memory care due to his Parkinson's. James, who runs Memory Care, and his staff try their best to help when problems come up, but they are extremely understaffed. When I went to Evan and Johnathon to complain about it a few times I got nowhere. I even told Evan he should go help change briefs as that is what James does to help out. My dad passed away 3 weeks ago and I have yet to get a call, card, or any condolence from the Townehouse. The staff at Memory Care showed our family much sympathy, but to get nothing from the Townehouse management is an utter disgrace.

The main independent living areas have a resort vibe and the dining room and grounds are gorgeous. Memory care is the loveliest I've seen in California. Every room has its own front patio entrance. The memory care community house is a hub of constant activity and has a delightful large patio and lawn area where there are holiday events with live music. My husband and I enjoy sitting outside and talking with the memory care residents. It feels like a real home and a real family. Everyone seems as content as possible.
