I recently moved my father from out of the area to an assisted living facility in Ventura CA. I was overwhelmed by the number of facilities, and the need to tour each facility to get any real information or pricing from each facility. Assisted Living Connections is the best and I wish I had found them early in my search for a place for my dad. My dad had returned to the US after being kicked out of China at the age of 88 and he literally had no home to return to. He couldnt' stay with me because I live in a tiny place and am allergic to smoke (He's a half pack a day smoker and too old to want to quit). He was living in motels for 6 months while we tried to find a place for him at an afordable price point, and other so called placement services like A Place for Mom or the country weren;t helpful at all - they just gave me a list and wished me luck. Tami was a total life saver because she did the leg work to find 2 places that allowed smokers, were in our price range, and had openings. She even notigiated reduced rent the first month so we would use that money to buy the furniture my father needed. Within a week, we checked out 2 places and started the process for moving in (so much paperwork, but reputable assisted living places are be licensed by the state, thius paperwork).
