Super sweet note with my take out. May 2022

I love the samosas here. I like that they have two versions. The more common Punjabi samosa with the pyramid shape and the Gujarati samosa with a flatter triangle shape. I grew up with the Gujarati samosas and preferred that as the skin was thinner. This was also the version I learnt to make as a kid. This was really good when paired with the tamarind chutney. I ordered take out recently and the bag was heavy. I did not expect that. In the bag was lamb Briyani, palak paneer with naan and 6 pieces of samosas. It could feed 2-3 people with that. The box of lamb Briyani was filled to the brim. The portion was huge with plenty of meat. The lamb was so tender that I could still break it apart with just a spoon after reheating it the next day in the microwave. The palak paneer was also very tasty and had lots of cheese cubes in it. The naan was ok. Great place for good Indian food. Dining in is available but I generally like to order ahead for take out as this place is on my way home. Plus the prices for take out is cheaper as there is a special though limited menu for that. You definitely get bang for the buck here. Service is just lovely here and they always add a sweet and uplifting note to your order.

This is for delivery since you can't go dine in. My girlfriend and I were craving some curry so we decided to order via Doordash. We had ordered lamb curry, pakora and naan bread. The lamb dish was all lamb meat, no potato filler like some other places. There were a good number of lamb meat in it. The pakora was tasty and tender. They provided a personal note with the food which was unexpected. I've been to their Canada Way location before and the service was friendly and quick.

Once again Agra rocks! Lamb Korma (mild) with the Palao (sic) rice was excellent once again. Huge portions, seriously huge portions. Great prices and a large menu keeps me coming back. Only regret is that they're a bit far away but might be good for my waistline! Never disappointed and I happily recommend it!

Small Indian gig in the heart of Market Crossing complex, too small that it can only house less than 10 person to dine in. Surprisingly the restaurant was busy when I came, that includes people coming for pick up orders. Contemporary Authentic Indian cuisines. I find the crew here extra friendly, most of the were Indians. The aroma inside the restaurant made me super hungry. I ordered the fish tandoori, it is a dish with marinated fish in yogurt and garlic, serve with chutney and naan. They offers garlic naan and spinach and I gez other kind. I also ordered beef samosa, but unfortunately I was given a veggie samosa,When I told them I ordered beef they just give the veggie ones and cooked me another set of beef samosa for free.(well not my fault and thanks anyways). The fish tandoori was so rich in flavor and the aroma of the Indian spices really smells good and very inviting. It actually made me salivate(just being honest) Not good for group, kids friendly? yes. I enjoyed all my orders naan plus the sauce of fish tandoori....mmmmm what a bomb...satisfied taste buds. I recommend this place to you guys, try it when you are in Market Crossing....another place that is money worth specially if you are looking for good Indian food. Kudos to you guys. ........I shall return......

The closest Indian place to my house but unfortunately a disappointment. I expect my butter chicken to be creamy and flavourful. What this place has is a diluted version. I'm sorry but unless you improve the quality I will not recommend.

A little while ago, I noticed a new spot called Agra Tandoori open up next to Pokerrito in the Market Crossing area of Burnaby. It's a tiny shop that, you guessed it, serves up East Indian cuisine. On my first visit, I decided to try a staple that many westerners associate with Indian food... namely Butter Chicken. Instead of coming with rice, I ordered the Butter Chicken with Naan ($12.95) and added the Mango Lassi ($3.75) - which is a yogurt-based drink. I thought the butter chicken here was quite good and they give you a generous serving size for lunch. There's plenty of sauce so if you like to sop up all that buttery goodness, it might be a good idea to get some rice with it. That being said, the naan was good too and had a soft and fluffy interior with a crisp exterior that made for a pleasant chew. Heat-wise, they let you specify the level of spiciness for your dish and I found that "medium" worked out with the cooling tartness of the lassi helping to ease the heat. On my second visit, I opted for the Lamb Sheesh Kabob with Naan ($13.95) prepared with minced lamb formed into a skewer shape and mixed with onions and served with chutney. It's a fairly meaty dish and the chutney here is really the key to offset the somewhat dryness of the dish. Now, I've always held a soft spot in my heart for a good vindaloo (must have been all those late nights watching Red Dwarf). The Chicken Vinadaloo ($13.95) that I ordered here had plenty of thick and meaty chicken pieces. While the medium spice level isn't very spicy, the sauce is tasty and goes well with rice. So instead of ordering this with naan, I opted for Pulao Rice ($4.50) instead, which consisted of long grain basmati rice with peas. Overall, I found the chicken to be a little too meaty and dry for my liking. On my last visit, I tried the Bombay Fish Curry ($12.95) which had very tender white fish that absorbed the flavour of the curry. In all, I found that the flavours here were pretty good. They do offer take-out so make sure to pay them a visit and support your local business.

Ordered off Skip the Dishes for delivery - absolutely fantastic! Food was prepared and delivered within 40 minutes. We ordered chilli chicken, fish pakoras, garlic naan, and gulab jamun. Everything was still very warm on arrival, food was delicious - big portions so we have lots of leftovers. Also attached to the bag was a personalized note with my name and thanking us for choosing them. Lovely addition. Great service, food and personal touches! Will definitely be going here for all our Indian food cravings. Well done.

I opted for a bit of sugar but made sure to ask him not to make it too sweet. The drink was just right, and he gave me a container of sugar just in case I still wanted to add a bit more. Last time I had ordered my drink "to go". This time I decided to sit in the shop and have my drink before heading back home. I was given two cookies to eat with the drink. Really starting to like this place. Impressed with the drinks and service from my two visits so far though. Would really love to try some of their food sometime. It's a small, cozy shop. Very convenient place and nice to have something sweet after you had heavy dinner next door neighbors. It was a warm afternoon. Their signature is authentic Chai though, I tried Iced Matcha latte. Very refreshing and not too sweet. When the air cooled down, I'm sure I will try their variety of chais. On the side, I had almond biscotti. More than the whole almond, it has almond flours. Very soft texture and enjoyed every bite. Chaska means obsession, addiction, and longing. Definitely, I will be back here.
