I'm going to give them 2-stars and not 1-star because I believe people have bad days. I had a client who was missing linens from her event and the venue mentioned that in the past when this has happened, the linens were sent to another linen company they use, AGS. I called AGS and left a message at 4pm and did not hear back the following morning so I called them again. This time I got a woman (I won't share her name because again, I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day), I explained the situation and she immediately became defensive saying that they have not had any "extra" linens come in and she would know if they had and she DOES NOT HAVE IT (without even checking). She kept interrupting and over-powering my voice as I spoke and I could not get a word in edgewise... As someone who manages events and works with a multitude of vendors, I hate calling-out vendors BUT by the same token, we also work in the "service" industry, where customer service is everything and I am held accountable for my interactions with clients and vendors alike. I can't pretend that dealing with rude and unhappy vendors does not effect my workflow. It's unnecessary, frustrating and disruptive! It's unfortunate that vendors in "service" have not learned that it's pretty important to play nice and treat people respectfully (clients and vendors). I'm highly disappointed with my interaction with this woman and I hope she understands that in this industry, word-of-mouth is everything and not only will I NOT be using them for my linen needs, I definitely won't be referring them to any weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, hotels, companies, restaurants, bars, and/or anyone else in my network. My referrals may not matter in the grand scheme of things but I know yelp reviews do!!!! Service is EVERYTHING, I don't care if you are "cheaper" - linen vendors come a dime a dozen AND it looks like "cheap" defines pricing and service... I'll take my business elsewhere...
In the end, she left me a message saying they definitely don't have it and the other company can look through their linens if they want. So she wasn't wrong about not having the linens but she was definitely rude and I'm just not down for that! I'd rather deal with professional vendors without all the impolite and disrespectful communication... NO thanks! Welcome to 2017 where you should be held accountable for your BS!
