She should have washed and dried her hands, then put the clear plastic gloves to pull the meat out and slice. Totally disgusting. We also bought 3 sweet potatoes from the produce section and 2 of the 3 were rotten inside once we went home to bake them. However, the muffaletta sandwich was incredible. 1 out of 3! We are visiting my father in law for a week. We went to Piggly Wiggly because of the good reviews and the proximity to his dad's home, but we will be going to Publix moving forward.

Everybody seems to know him, he is such a friendly guy. He is also an enabler. You will come in looking for a sandwich or hummus and walk out with $250 of stuff. I know because it's happened to me. The samples are generous and the food sells itself. In the past I have enjoyed the muffaletta, hummus, bulgur wheat with lentils, tabouli, fresh bread, and more. It is all very good. If you have a lot of people to feed, this is a great place to buy in bulk.

Prices are comparable to other local stores however, most produce is freshly picked from local farms. They also had some freshly baked items as well as honey and jams.
