She appeared unprepared and unqualified, provided no constructive input, and offered no guidance when I asked for help with motivation--she literally said, "I don't know." Very awkward, and I did not know what to say, and we stood in a whole 2 minutes of silence! The session lacked any meaningful therapeutic conversation. Most of the questions she asked were irrelevant to my concerns (including whether my roommate had a girlfriend), and she offered no strategies, feedback, or support. Her nonverbal behavior also felt awkward and at times condescending. I would not recommend seeing this therapist, as the session felt unproductive and a waste of time.

Susan is a gifted Reiki Master. I recently took the Reiki Level One with Susan. I found her teaching to be thorough and very intuitive to her students' needs. I took this class with Susan because I was very impressed with her Reiki techniques; I found her, again, to be very intuitive, very loving and very gentle. Susan also gave me meditations that have helped me in my own personal meditation practice. I highly recommend The Center For Serenity.

Plus, her clinic is as relaxing as a spa: I feel soothed the minute I step inside! Upon separate occasions, Lisa greatly helped me recover quickly from two knee replacement surgeries as well as a hip fracture from a serious fall. Furthermore, her cutting-edge, e-stem acupuncture has been immensely healing, much more effective than dry needling. In fact, my physiotherapist told me I healed very quickly and he always found his clients who use acupuncture heal more quickly. In addition, Lisa provides other organic supplements, holistic therapies as well as topical pain relievers. These have been key for not only for my illness / injury recoveries they have helped me remain healthy as well as feel and look youthful. When Lisa opened Healing Foundations, I had been seeing another acupuncturist for over ten years. After seeing her, Lisa soon became the acupuncturist my I recommend to all my friends. I truly can't say enough about Lisa, she is a gifted acupuncturist!

I won't kid you the treatment was painful but the release felt amazing afterwards. That night I went home and slept 12 hours, woke up feeling much better for the first time in months. Looking forward to our next session. The salon is clean, peaceful, and very welcoming. Thank you!

So when the back pain started I thought let me look for something similar here. I tried a few different studios with different styles but honestly was not satisfied as nobody was giving any corrections or telling us which muscles to engage, and I felt like I was just going through the motions. Then I found Garden of Yoga and started attending classes with Kathleen and Kristen. Both are Iyengar certified and from the very first class itself I felt the difference. No matter how many students are there, both of them will come around, watch your pose carefully, and give individual corrections. They also use props properly to make sure you are doing the pose correctly and not putting stress in the wrong places. The classes are 1.5 hours which gives enough time to actually work on things properly. What also surprised me is how affordable it is compared to other places where I was paying more for just one hour and getting much less. You can genuinely feel that they are doing this to give back to the community, not just for the money. I equally enjoy both Kathleen's and Kristen's classes and I am hoping to continue regularly and slowly become more flexible and stronger. Very grateful to have found this place.

Teachers here are not doing the postures except for example; rather, when students are in the asanas, teachers are roaming the class, making minor adjustments to student's positioning.
