It turned out that the rotor for my back wheel was slightly bent. They changed my tires, ordered a new rotor for my back wheel and installed it. They had to completely take apart my electric bike in order to install the new rotor. It took them about a week, about a half week of that was getting the rotor delivered. Great guys, very knowledgeable and friendly, a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Cole waved the charge for changing the rotor in my back wheel because they missed it the first time I came over to pick my baby up, after a few miles it had started making that worrying noise again. Definitely quality of service and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend!!

I walked into EZ Rider looking for an e-bike and walked out feeling like I had just joined a cult--but like, a really cool, eco-friendly cult where everyone smiles and talks about torque and battery life. The owners Cole and Eric are basically the Tony Stark of e-bikes, but way more approachable and with better jokes. They took the time to explain everything to me, even though my only question was, "Does it come in green?" (Spoiler: it does.) The bikes are top-notch, the prices are fair, and the vibes are immaculate. I've never felt so cool riding something that doesn't require a gym membership. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm saving the planet one pedal-assist at a time. If you're thinking about getting an e-bike, do yourself a favor and stop by EZ Rider. Just don't blame me when you start referring to your car as "the old-fashioned way to get around."

Skokie Lagoons is huge! Biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing- it has it all. I had no idea…read morethis place existed, but I'm so glad to have been introduced to it. Was here recently to rent kayaks and it was great. Chicago Kayak and Canoe rental company sets up camp, and it was very busy with school groups and families on a recent beautiful September 2016 Chicago weekend. Kayaking the Lagoons you're bound to see cranes, heron, a few other people kayaking, and get lost in nature. From time to time there is algae on the water and it can be smelly. We went right into a cove of algae where nobody else was going, and it felt like something out of the movie Adaptation. I was jealous of all the fishing going on, and hope to be back for that. It's only 5 miles from Chicago Botanic Gardens, so if you park here you can bike on in for free, and have an easy short ride. A lot of people reviewing Skokie Lagoons complain about the trash, and how people leave lunch garbage and bottles laying around. To me that's not a reflection of the place itself- do your part- pick up some trash before you leave, or pull a bottle or two out of the water. Or just stay away, because I'll be back, and the less people the better!

We watched the staff practice their safety drills. The staff all appear well-trained, attentive, and ready to go in case of emergency! There is an ice cream shop across the street, at the corner of Ridgeland and Lake, so stop in for a treat after your swim.
