I get mixed greens with the kelp noodles as the base, and love it! They always have deals on their app and points accrue quickly. During the holidays, they always have a special on gift cards. I just got a $60 gift card for $50! Service has always been quick and friendly even though I don't order ahead. They have a nice two-story seating area and a fireplace. I still have to find ahi poke place that is equal in value and taste to this one. its a shame here it sucks.. the customer service was always great in Flag and I would go there every week for my bowl which was always very filling. We came over the Memorial weekend to use our In Kind cash before it expires. The app and their little sign says they support In Kind. We didn't find out until after we ordered that their internet was out. We could NOT use our In Kind Cash, we requested a printed receipt but the young lady couldn't give us one. I ended up paying cash. Thank goodness I had this on me. We considered walking out but are too nice of humans to do this. This is basic custom service... If I was a franchise owner I'd be offering a discount, doing something for the inconvenience. May also consider a backup mi-fi/hotspot to help. While we were here another group tried to use their gift card and were upset. I'd plan better especially with a holiday when people are traveling. On the plus side the food was okay. The payment hiccup tarnished our appetites. The ladies were not friendly when we left. We didn't plan for how this went down. I probably won't return here after this issue. I've seen the bad reviews and was afraid to try this place, but I was shocked to find how amazing this place is !! The employee was super kind and helpful, the restaurant is super clean, and the food is DELICIOUS !! I've seen some bad reviews on the rice, for new the rice was perfect. I even bought another bowl to go and the rice was still soft and tasty after an hour and a half drive home and a few hours in the fridge. Came here for lunch on Sunday. No one behind the counter. Stood there for a few minutes and then we called out to the guy in the back who was reprimanding another employee. He came out. My hubby casually commented they should get a door chime. The bearded guy behind the counter snapped back saying he was only back there for 5 seconds. Rest of the interaction with him did not improve. I see from reviews a few years ago that the "bearded guy" is likely the same that others commented on as being rude. If he was my employee he'd be fired. Nothing like a little pain to snap you back into reality. Food was ok. I've definitely had better poki bowls. For some reason I had an inexplicable craving for raw fish, enough that I ignored the overpowering old-fish smell as I walked by the entrance to this place. It did meet the craving, but was thoroughly mediocre, perhaps as is to be expected from chain poke. The rice was mushy and overcooked, the fish was nothing special, and the salads were stale. Don't get me wrong, the food is great. We enjoy eating at Ahipoki. The service for us was great, but then after we were served the employees scurried into the back of the kitchen for 10-20 minutes. We saw a customer come to order around 7:25pm (12/19/21), he waited around for 5 minutes and left in frustration. Please train staff to be aware of their customers entering, we hate to lose this place due to no revenue or customers. First time I came here I got really sick... after a while tried it again (slightly afraid I'm not going to lie) and it was refreshing and delicious. I will say the service left you feeling unimportant and waiting for when it was convenient for them to serve you but they were quick once they noticed several people in line and the food was a nice medley of fresh, crunchy, sticky and tasty! I ordered a large poke bowl and added a note for them to feel free to make any substitutions to make it gluten free since I usually check things with them when there in-person. They called to say they'd be changing the house sauce to their gluten free house sauce which is what I asked for in my order message, so that was good. But then they just cancelled my order with an electronic message just saying cancelled. I'll get refunded of course, or so is my hope, but they have plenty of gluten free options and I selected the ones I knew of so I'm very frustrated. Especially since in my order I specified they could make any alterations necessary. Grr. They didn't even call to tell me. I really wanted poke and knew it would be delicious. I like that they give you lots of options and variety, I have always had great service and enjoyed a mix of spicy salmon, spicy tuna, avocado and a mix of salad and rice. Stuck in my hotel and decided to order through Uber Eats. Paid for a 3 scoop bowl: tuna, scallops and yellowtail. The yellowtail is an up-charge of like $1.50. My bowl arrived and there were only two scoops, no yellowtail. I paid extra for avocado and it was literally, a tiny scoop of brown avocado. They also missed a bunch of additional items I added + no utensils, chopsticks or napkins. Not sure how they planned on me eating this thing. Overall, wasn't too impressed. The bowl is super small for $20+ and they couldn't even get a simple order correct. All you do is read the list and dump the items in a bowl -- not too difficult. Probably won't be back here. I came to pick up my food from an online order, only to find they left my raw seafood order sitting on the counter. I had ordered around like 530 but because of work I wasn't able to pick it up until 7 PM so I'm not sure how long it was sitting on the counter for but there was a perfectly good refrigerator behind them. So when I drove 3 hours and reached a city, the first thing I did was to check Yelp to see if there was a poké spot. Someone upstairs must've had pity on me, because Ahipoki appeared in my search and I learnt it was a hot and new spot. Sweet! I checked this place out right around dinner time and I was a bit concerned there was nare a soul in the joint. But, beggars can't be choosers, so I was brave and marched right up to the counter. There were 2 female staff available to help me and both really friendly and helpful. To start the bowl, you chose a base (white rice, brown rice, greens or half & half). I chose half white rice & half greens. Next you chose a protein. I had the spicy tuna and tuna luau. Then you get to choose a sauce. I'm not much into mayo but like some fire in my food, so I went with house spicy. After all this, you get to choose as many toppings as you like! I chose seaweed salad, green onion, furikake, pickled radish, cucumbers and more chili flakes. Portion size was great and all this for $9.95. The place has a nice modern feel and very clean. They have complimentary water & seltzer. When I was there, the wifi wasn't working, but that didn't bother me. Bathrooms were clean. Great place to get your poké fix on! We enjoyed this place for the most part. It's very clean and inviting with a fun fireplace, if they could turn it on. We asked them to ignite the fire, because it was FREEZINGGG (we are from Phoenix after all) but the staff said they had no idea how to get the fireplace running. I'm assuming this place is new. The fish and veggies were extremely fresh. But here's the critique....while the staff were super friendly, they weren't knowledgeable. This place is like a posh, upscale Subway for sushi. So, for first time Poki-line goers, we had no idea what to do or what would clash with what. We asked for suggestions but the staff didn't know. So we just went with all the stuff we like in actual sushi rolls. Meh, Not the best idea. Our toppings were fresh and delicious separately but didn't mix well together in a huge bowl. We couldn't taste the specialty fish we added because the flavors were so different and lumped together. And let me tell you, a hunk of wasabi just plopped on the top is really intense.
