Brought daughter up for a photo shoot and she used to eat here often when going to NAU. We get the regular size bow with chicken and rice and green onions. We put the magic sauce and hot hot sauce and it was amazing. Wish there was one down in the valley.

Food was solid, my meal was simple but you definitely want to add green onions. Perfect lunch

Nice warm welcome. But, she forgot one bowl on our order and she mixed up the brown and white rice on two of the bowls. The beef was okay.

What I thought I was ordering. NOPE.

Meh. I stopped in to try their Korean Spicy Chicken. What I received was just broiled chicken and rice. The clerk assured me it was spicy. It was not. The hot sauce on the counter dispensers was not "hot hot" as described. Very disappointing.

I remembered always coming here during my college days. It was cheap eats right next to the school. Met my other college friend and came here for lunch. A bowl of meat and rice is about $7. Awesome deal! I ordered The Works which had grilled chicken and beef, vegetables, and brown rice. The meat was a bit dry and the rice was hard. Flavored was good though. Can't expect too much for the price.

There are few times in life when a meal is so perfectly aligned with the needs of the body that it causes you to run a 5k when you get to your hotel's fitness center. The angus veggie bowl was one such meal. I was tired from my 6:30am flight to Arizona, experiencing body locks from a long car ride, and feeling queasy from my "phat azz samich"(technical term, see Lolo's review) followed by ice cream for lunch. The beef and blanched veggies, which are already tasty on their own, felt like a cool breeze during a hammock nap in the summer under a shady tree. The bowl was priced fairly for the amount of food received. The beef was slightly juicy but well-seasoned and mixed well with the rice and blander vegetables. They had sauce options, but apparently no pickled ginger; however, the food was still fine without those additions. Definitely would eat again and it's perfect for a quick meal. The cashier was also really nice and let us steal water in our thermoflasks.

Well, I just found my new lunch spot. I have heard/read tons of good things about this place and I figured it was time to give it a go. I was a little worried if it was going to be enough to fill me up but I that was put to rest when I had a hard time finishing my bowl. I grabbed a beef bowl with added avocado. It was super yummy and the rice had this perfect texture that I absolutely loved. If anyone has seen any of my other posts it may not be a big secret that I try to make every dish I have super spicy. I saw a salsa dispenser and quickly loaded up. I went for the second to hottest that they offer and WOW this stuff packs a punch. I was reaching for my water after the first bite! The spice perfectly complemented the bowl and I was actually glad that I did not go for the hottest that was offered. I can only assume that they have to prepare it with lava-proof gloves. All in all, I would definitely say I am a fan. I was not however impressed with the cleanliness of the business. There was a good 1/4 inch of dust on the fans and it looked like they were a little slow to clean up tables. The menu signs were also a little shotty with Sharpie marker and dated decor. Not enough to sway me but enough for me to hold back a star.

Mini half and half with rice and veggies and extra magic sauce.

Healthy food at good prices served quickly...this is one of our favorite stops when we come through Flagstaff.

Chicken with brown rice and veggies! Many sauces to try!

We had a toddler with us and had a stroller which could fold into a much smaller piece less than the size of a chair. The place was almost empty when we walked in. As soon as the owner (I assumed) saw us walking in, she gave us a super unfriendly almost impolite look, told us to fold the stroller. Then we were about to fold it, she told us "no no no, you have to put it in your car". There was no sign about stroller anywhere and the restaurant was almost empty. I was ok w it, folding it and walked back to leave it in my car. I told her we had 4 and a baby. She gave us a table for 4 then told us why didn't I told her sooner that we had 5 people. We helped our toddler to drink water but she liked to drink water from the cup directly and not through a straw and shook her head a bit. The owner scolded us why not having her drink water lol Then my toddler was drinking water from the cup directly as she always does. The owner scolded us. Yes, scolded. She told us close the lid and have her drink the water from the straw. At this point, I wanted to leave but because we already ordered. We didn't want to be impolite... My friend ordered an omurice and kimchi soup. When the food is out, the owner looked at her with a weird look shaking her head thinking she eated too much. Lol. She was smiling to other Caucasian customers while always judgemental and somehow unhappy to our group (Asian people) although we were polite and followed her directions the whole time. Last but not least, 18% of tip was automatically included in our bill.

We ordered the karaage to share and it was just okay, adding a side wedge of lemon would help. For our mains, we got the Mic Drop!, tantanmen, and katsu ramen, and all three were disappointing. The broth tasted more like lightly seasoned hot water instead of the rich, flavorful broth you'd expect from ramen. The egg was fully hard-boiled rather than the usual soft, jammy ramen egg, and the noodles were very al dente in a way that didn't feel quite right for ramen. Overall, I'd give it two stars, mainly because of how kind and attentive our server was. I wanted to like this place, but the food just didn't deliver.
