Good Chinese food with lots of variety in this all you can eat buffet. I'm vegetarian and there were plenty of options.

Place was clean. Plates cleared quickly. Food was edible but that's about as far as I could say.

Lots of food. Odd assortment, some food not even warm. We managed to chock some down. Not ever going back.

Walking in, you're sometimes greeted by the staff near the front. Do note the prices on the wall and the corresponding times. For me, it's overpriced. You pay first like any typical buffet, before you're sat and you can browse the food. This place always has a slightly unclean to dirty vibe. The tables, walls, and floor tend to look grimy. The fish tank can also look nasty. The food comes out pretty fast and they refill the bins quickly. The times I've been over the years, the food typically tastes okay. Sometimes it's pretty bland, but it depends. I don't know how many times I'll get up to leave and walk out and immediately I feel ill. I don't know what it is exactly, besides that something is a bit contaminated. I'm thinking it's why they're almost always consistently closed by the health department. Ever since I learned that they close several times a year, I've not returned. I wish they could get it together and do better. Flagstaff needs a buffet, but definitely visit knowing the risk! read more

9/2/26: We ate at China Star in Flagstaff. The Food was terrible, they were cold, it probably was cooked two or three days ago, even when it's heated up, it was cold. The egg drop soup looked like acup of diarrhea, it was green, taste nasty. I wasted our senior prices of $17 per person. The prices keep going up for the shitty foods. Not worth it , don't lose your money there. They want tips up from too. They rip people off. This establishment should be shut down!!! Pathetic and discussing!! read more

The food was pretty fresh they had a very wide variety of options that kept coming out hot! The Rangoons were definitely my favorite I went back multiple times for them. Only thing I didn't find to be supper fresh or great was the shrimp but overall was a good experience and the staff was nice. The restaurant was clean and a good vibe. Seems that there is a new owner and they have been making some needed updates. The bathroom has been improved a bit but it is already covered in graffiti and they need to paint those nasty doors. They have raised the prices and now charge for beverages. That's understandable considering the price of food these days. Unfortunately, the staff was more interested in their phones than customer service. The lady filling the buffet was on the phone the entire time speaking very loudly. I can overlook many things if the food is good. It was pretty decent in the past. I had a few favorites that I would stick to. Well the selection has changed and recipes tweaked. Items seem sweeter now. They have added a few new and interesting selections. The Egg foo young was pretty good but I wasn't interested in the many new types of boa (Chinese buns). My biggest complaint is that most of the food was hardly warm, some things actually cold. They need to address this issue before their next health department visit! One of the few places open on Xmas so we ended here. The vegetable dishes were surprisingly good as was the beef and broccoli. The one dish that wasn't great was the roast beef which was tough as leather. Some of the seafood was just ok but given that this is flagstaff and the price is reasonable I'll give them a pass. Came here after a long day on the mountain. Went whole hog and ate four full plates of crawdads in a row, shells and all. I ate crawdads until there weren't any more in the buffet. I'm getting a dirty look from one of my fellow patrons and I don't think they're making any more tonight, but nobody stopped me. One of the waitresses came over and gave us our fortune cookies and told us to have a good night while I was actively piling crawdads on a plate. I think she was hoping I would take the hint, but I've still got my crawdad-eating gloves on. Two of the women who work here are yelling at each other and pointing at the empty crawdad bucket. I know the Chinese word for crawdad is Xiao Longxia, and the only reason is because I looked it up on google to confirm they were yelling about my eating habits, they definitely are. 10/10 establishment. read more

The best Chinese buffets I have ever been to. They had plenty of deep fat fried stuff for those that like it, but they also had enough healthy dishes for me to make a good meal. Their hot and sour soup was both spicy hot and sour, and just about the best I've ever had. Never again, we walked it in smelled like armpits and gave a very bad vibe. our waitress did not speak English so it was hard to order drinks. The ribs tasted like fish I couldn't even eat it the crabs were all mushy on the inside the food also tasted very bland. Everything was labeled wrong the wing I had was PURE Grease. The food was so good I tried mostly everything and it was so good and well made, the crawfish were the best, when I first pulled out the meat from the tail and tried it, I shed a tear of joy. It was the BEST crawfish I've ever tired. Came here from outta town to hangout with family and friends. We wanted some good Chinese food and we were disappointed. My boyfriend payed $67 for 3 people. They are super expensive for poor food. The chicken was undercooked and the crab shell was soft. We spent a lot of money just to leave feeling hungry. They also tried pressuring my bf to tip before we even got served. After we ate some food we realized how bad it was. I left a good amount on my plate and the lady server started talking to the front desk man in Chinese and he started staring at me.
