I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it's always been one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in Flagstaff. We stopped in on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy. The quoted wait was 20-30 minutes, but it ended up being a little longer than expected. The food was good overall. I usually order the wings every time I come, but they fell a little short this visit, so I'll probably try something different next time. The truffle fries were delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal (along with the prickly pear lemonade). The biggest disappointment was the service. It was very slow throughout our visit, and I was honestly a little embarrassed because I had brought a friend who was trying the restaurant for the first time. She thought the food was delicious but wasn't impressed with the service. Even with this experience, this place will still be one of my go-to stops whenever I'm in Flagstaff. We've been coming to the lumberyard for years now, and we have our order completely done now and the consistency here is amazing too. The prickly pear lemonade, tangy, sweet, prickly in just the right places! So good The Vietnamese burger, it's perfect everytime we have it. It's spicy and sweet and savory, and there's not many words that can explain how delicious it is so I'm just going to say it's like a total mouthgasm. The Mac and cheese is always good here but I did learn something for next time. Don't order it if they are slow, order it when they are busy or it might sit in the warmer a little too long, although, even slightly overcooked it was still pretty darn good. 04/13/26 Excellent service and food. The restaurant is in a downtown area and you have to pay for parking. You can pay at the kiosk and it is only $1 per hour. My husband got the beer flight which includes six 5 ounce tasters. At only $14 for 30 ounces total, it's a deal to get to try six different beers. After reading other reviews, we settled on the Irish spring rolls and the Vietnamese burger. Both did not disappoint. I highly recommend both. Went to the lumberyard brewery and had the wings. I also had a IPA that is citrusy and very refreshing. Water as well. I also ordered the french fries with aïoli and dipping sauce. All of the food was prepared perfectly. The wings are crispy and they are not sauce. You have to dip the sauce, which is really good and you can put as much as a little as you want. It is a really good place to grab a beer and have a burger or wings. They have a great appetizer menu. Overall, the food is excellent. The service is great. I usually sit in the bar. I'm usually by myself. It is fast and reactive service. Overall, everything is amazing. I would recommend trying it out for their appetizers or dinner. Beaver Street is right around the corner. When the Amish show up at your brewery you know it's good. My husband got the hatch chile burger and said it was delicious. My pulled pork was flavorful without a lot of sauce. 5 stars for a few reasons nice Happy hour with good discounts on a variety of drinks. And portion sizes were generous. Also who these days is offering Mac and cheese as a side option without an up charge? I didn't get it but think that was a miss. I actually saw the Cajun Mac after I ordered my pork , that sounded awesome. Read the menu too fast. Normal brewpub vibe lots of outdoor seating. What a great experience!! We showed up and they were busy as it was a weekend. They told us it would take up 20 minutes for seating & have a sat within 15. We have a child who is only 6.5 months and a little noisy, but they were very accommodating. The waitress was very sweet to us, and treated us like regulars. I ordered brussels sprouts and my husband got the eggrolls as an appetizer, both were delicious!! Then we split the hatch burger, and it was amazing, and my baby loved the french fries! I got a bowl with mahi mahi and a prickly pear lemonade, both of which were phenomenal. The bowl had a great balance of spice and sweetness and the lemonade was perfectly tart. Pro tip, if there's a wait in the restaurant, grab a seat at the bar and order food. I had a 32oz frontline vanilla porter which was a bit too much but still a fun beer, and quite tasty. I also had fish & chips and honestly this might be the best fish & chips I've had in ages. Not too greasy, good quality fish, and pretty decent fries. My mom, sister and I had a great visit to Lumberyard on our way through Flagstaff. The best part about this place is the food and the hearty portions. I ordered the Vietnamese Banh Mi burger and it was scrumptious! I wanted to eat the whole thing but it was far too much food to consume. I got Cajun fries as my side but if I had a do-over I'd go with something like sweet potato fries, as the Cajun ones were a bit lackluster. I also tried some of my sister's Mac n cheese (which Lumberyard is supposedly known for) and it was super good and creamy. Not a fan of the fact that they penne noodles for it, though. My mom got a regular burger and my sister a pulled pork sandwich. They both enjoyed their meals. We ordered the pretzel sticks as an appetizer and I gotta say I wasn't impressed with those. After a nice day wandering around downtown Flagstaff we decided to grab a bite to eat at the Lumberyard. We had George, our corgi (yes, he is a service animal). However the heat of the day made us both a bit weary and my wife was struggling with low blood sugar. When we got inside to check in and get a table, the manager, Patty said we needed to be out on the patio, but my wife showed her the service badge and explained that she was not doing great. Quick as a flash Patty told the staff to seat us inside and she then went and got orange juice and water for her. My wife drank it all and slowly removed over the next few minutes. That was such a fantastic welcome, and it was very much appreciated by us. The place is fairly rustic but clean and bustling with people from all over. Menu was great and of course they had a wonderful beer selection. Their red ale is lovely. I ordered the green chili hatch burger which came exactly medium rare with the green sauce and slices of chili. My wife got the reuben egg rolls which were great. Service is outstanding, the food is creative and well executed and obviously they have very good beer. George helped us with our meals a bit as well of course. read more

This place is AMAZING. Came in around 9PM on a Wednesday night. The burger I had was SO good & my mac and cheese side was the best mac ive ever had. This place is always busy, but based on our experience we don't know why. Ordered a pick up order via their website, very easy to place order but said about 45-50 minutes until it would be ready. We arrived after about 30 minutes and went in to check on our order, they said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Great! Everyone was very nice and there were a lot of employees compared to customers. That's when the positive experience ended. Boneless wings were beyond overcooked and inedible. Was given wrong side sauce as well, so that was $15 in the trash. Mac & cheese was also overcooked and bland, just mush. Brussel sprouts were okay, but again, overcooked. Pretzel sticks were drowning in oil and had to be dried with paper towel. The former consisted of mac 'n cheese, green beans, two sausages, saurkraut, and a piece of corn bread. Of the plate, the mac 'n cheese was my favorite. My second time visiting was definitely a disappointment. The best service we received during our whole visit was from the amazing bartenders. They were super friendly and provided quick service. But from the moment we entered the restaurant we felt unwelcome. The manager abruptly paused her conversation with us to talk to a staff member, then continued with us 30 seconds later as we patiently waited for her to finish her conversation. The food took a while to come out, and one of the burgers was cold and dry by the time it arrived. The server delivered our beer by holding the rim of the glass (where you'd expect to sip it) and seemed very glum and annoyed during our visit. The bathrooms were in bad shape too: trash overflowing, no soap in the dispenser, paper towels on the floor. This is a place that seems like it does very well and caters to large families and out-of-towners, but it really seemed like they were struggling on this recent visit. Found this place on my trusty Yelp app when the roomie and I .are a quick day trip out to Flagstaff. The last time I was in this area was probably around 13 years ago driving down to San Diego from Illinois. We wanted something healthy-ish but affordable, and Lumberyard Tap Room & Grille fit the bill. I ordered the Vietnamese Burger with a side of mac 'n cheese. It was a good size. Not huge, but not tiny, either. I liked that it was super fresh and the toppings on it really packed a punch. The roomie did not complain about the Nashville Hot Sandwich, either. We shared the Banana Pudding which was bomb!!! You can even take the Mason jar home for a dollar more! You already know what I did.. I had to take that lid because we could only eat half the jar, lol. We absolutely loved that it wasn't super sweet. It was just right! Service was great. We were taken care of and didn't need to flag anyone down at any time. The staff here is with it!! It was a beautiful day to dine outside, but the indoor dining room was pretty spacious as well. We came from Phoenix to enjoy a cooler weather. We love breweries, so we came to try this one out. Turns out it's the sister brewery of Beaver brewery,but they have different menus. Our server was Kursten. She was great throughout our time there. Started with the wings which were crispy. However, they do not toss them in sauce. Served on the side, so we went with buffalo & hot honey. It is good that they bring you an extra plate for the bones. I had the Smoke & Berry Burger HUGE & delicious, but $26 bucks?! That's the most we've ever paid for a burger! My husband had the Brew House Burger with two patties (one for the doggies) he enjoyed it. Happy Hour deals on drinks ONLY! I had their Summer Beer. It was absolutely amazing and refreshing, especially since we dined outdoors on their patio. We didn't try the desserts because we were too full, but will definitely visit again.
