I have continued to come back to Ahmed's Barbershop as the vibe here is amazing and the service is impeccable. I routinely get my hair cut here. I book for three my two sons and myself. My oldest gets his cut by Moe always treats my son amazing and the cut is always on point. My younger son's barber is Zaid. Jameson doesn't let anyone cut his hair Zaid's his guy always does a great job and really makes him feel special. Lastly, I get my haircuts by Ramon always a great conversationalist even better work. Zaid is officially my go to barber. I used to drive all the way from DC to Brooklyn just for a haircut, and I am very picky about my hair. I just got the best haircut I have ever had. He really listened to what I wanted, paid attention to every detail, and made sure everything was perfectly blended and sharp. I also did the nose and ear hair removal. One hundred percent RECOMMEND this place! So I heard about this place originally because a mom posted in a mom group asking other mom's recommendations for a good place to get boys haircuts. I remember seeing multiple people comment Ahmed's barbershop. I had been taking my boys to a kids salon in LA. The haircuts for my oldest son were not turning out well. My oldest son asked earlier this week if I could take him to get his haircut. I of course turned to yelp. Ahmed's barbershop came up from my search and I instantly recognized it from the mom group post. I've been busy with work and forgot to call earlier in the day to try to make an appointment. My son asked at 5pm if I found a place and if I made an appointment. I told him I didn't have a chance earlier and would call right away. I called Ahmed's barbershop. I asked if I could made a same day appointment or if I could make an appointment for the next afternoon. He was so flexible and accommodating over the phone. I asked if they took walk ins and he said yes. He also mentioned that there might just be a wait as a walk in. He said they would be happy to take care of us whenever we decided to come in whether it was that night or the next day. I asked my sons and they decided they wanted to go after dinner. So we did. The barbershop is located in a shopping plaza with other retail shops. The parking in front of the shops say 30 min parking. I just parked off to the side and didn't mind a small walk. The barbershop is beautifully designed. The space is decorated in darker colors and has a masculine vibe. I was surprised by how spacious the space felt. I really loved the gold on the chairs. There's a large couch and sitting chairs in the waiting area. I really like that they had a bench towards the back. I was able to sit on the bench with one of my sons, while my other son got his hair cut in the chair right next to the bench. Ramzi was our barber! He is so skilled! He asked me how I wanted the boys hair and to show him a picture. Then he got to work. Both my boys were extra wiggly in the chair but Ramzi was so patient. He interacted with them as he cut their hair. During the process, my boys hair looked so good and he wasn't even done yet. I am so impressed! My kids also love their haircut. Ahmed came over after the boys haircuts. He is so nice and kind. I definitely recommend this place. You really are getting great value for the service they are providing. The pricing is very fair considering the friendly service and level of skill they provide clients. Their customer service is top notch! Their skill with cutting hair is amazing. TERRIBLE OWNER. Ahmed the owner will go out of his way to disrespect you for no reason at all. The last few times I went there to support his business he purposely kept saying my name incorrectly to be funny as he found amusement of this even after I have had multiple conversations with him about this but because of disrespectful nature he kept doing this to upset me and even went as far as apologizing just to do it again right away. I am not sure why a business owner would mess with his customers like that as you would think there top priority would be creating a welcoming environment that appreciates there customers but this was not the case. If you are a person of color I would stay away as the owner is unprofessional and rude. Update: Ahmed went out of his way to be disrespectful and get my name wrong because he thought he was "funny" that's why after I told him 6 times how to say my name he said it wrong and then smirked at me to be sarcastic, which clearly showed he was complement in what he was doing. It in no way "hurt me" it's just the principle as I expected business owners to be professional which he was not. Was looking for a local barbershop and decided to give this place a chance. Wasn't able to find the place because Google maps sent me to chase bank for some reason, so I called the number on Yelp, Ahmed answered right away and helped me get to the correct location. Once I walked in, I realized he doesn't do walk ins, but I told him that I wasn't aware and with the little time he had, he decided to give me a quick AND great cut. One of the best I've gotten and I'm pretty picky with my haircuts lol. I would highly recommend him, aside from his great customer service, he also has a private and clean place, and he does a great job. I would call him to ask about how to book an appointment though just to avoid a situation where he might not be able to take you. ahmed is an absolute chad! the name says it all, as it's only him in a small location, but that didn't take away from the experience I had during my visit.
